I have heard of people having good experiences with this place but mine was pretty horrible and now…read morethat I have, and have had, a job I can look back and reflect on how bad they were. First of all, like most temp agencies, they make you take computer aptitude tests, which is fine except that they seem to pay no attention to the results in trying to place you in an appropriate position for your skill level. As an example of how bad they are at finding decent and well suited jobs of their "employees," within a few days of joining the agency I got a call for a job (keep in mind I had my BA at this point and was using this agency to be a temp for hire since I was having very little luck in the job market). I was excited until I was told that instead of finding a temp for hire position they needed someone to do a weekend painting job. I was desperate for beer money so I took it and like any painting job it sucked. After that I told them to find me a real job next time and they indicated that understood the painting was a one time thing and that they would try to find me something in the next two weeks. I never heard from them again after that. Bottom line is this is a temp agency in a college town with a lot of students finding jobs through them. They don't know how to handle the load of job seekers and they really don't know how to handle well qualified people. If you really really need work I'd give them a shot but not before you exhaust all options.

So I went. Why not? So, you know those nagging thoughts of self-doubt, fear, self-deprecation? Well, I wanted to get rid of some of them and see if Dr. Cox's methods worked for me. On her website she touts...Mind Body Tools for a Successful and Happy Life. In our session, we spent an hour talking about what I call past programming. Incidents in childhood that have an impact on how we approach life. In that hour the visceral, anxiety ridden feelings I had around fear of failure went from a 9 down to a 3 and then eventually complete calm. I'll definitely being going back to see Dr. Cox. Those nagging thoughts you know...they never quite all go away. But these sessions are surely going to keep them quiet for a while.
