Lokey and Jason got me in even with an entire parking lot full of work ahead of them. The Matas go above and beyond every time! Unfortunately, my car was totaled, but Lokey's body shop assisted me through every step of the process- including helping me secure a tow down. My vehicle was taken in by my mechanic Oct 3, 2024 for bumper cover repair and repaint due to an incident at their shop. The right rear corner was damaged. They said it would be a few days to get it done but did not hear from them till 10/11 stating my vehicle was ready. I picked it up and questioned about the color and was told that what it is supposed to look like which was darker then the car and it looked like I could still see some damage. They did not see any damage. I also made them aware that they had painted my front bumper cover a few years back and was painted good to match but the clearcoat had started to peel and since their work was covered with a lifetime warranty if they could redo it, and I was told they would look into it. I inspected it over the weekend and noticed that there was still damage to the cover since I could see several dents and shadows in the light. I took it back Monday 10/14 and told them I was not happy with the color and I could still see damage. I pointed it out and all of a sudden they could see it. They said they just repaired bumper and that could happen. Told them if its going to look like that then replace it. They said we will let you know. I did not hear from them that week so when I called on 10/24 and I was told that they were waiting for a call back from the paint manufacturer about the front cover and I do not understand since it was warranty work that needed to be done, and why have not they called to update me on this. I then asked if they were replacing the rear cover after all and I was told that the cover was not worked like it was supposed to the first time and that they are going to do it over. I said ok as long as its done right. I called again 10/29 since no one has called with an update and was told that they would cover my front bumper cover but since it has a few nicks that it would cost $350 in prep work that I would have to pay so at this point I told them to forget about the front and just do the other repair because I needed my vehicle, and when can it be done. I was told they would call me back but did not hear back from anyone. I called again on 10/30 and was told the car was in re-assemby and should be done that day and they would call me and I did not receive call back. I called again on 10/31 and they said, it was ready but the color was still off so they had to redo it again and that it would be ready on Monday 11/4 or Tuesday 11/5 and yet again no call. I called today 11/6 at 4:40 since they close at 5 to check on it and all of a sudden it was done. I do not think they would of called me and I feel they took all this time on purpose since I took it back. Sometimes since I never got a response, I would have to drive to the body shop to check the status. I had even asked to talk to the Manager a few times but he was always to busy to talk on the phone or talk to you in person, its always the office staff. I cant believe it took them 3 weeks and 2 days to redo a bumper cover. You would think after all this time they would of just done the other warranty work for my troubles. They had my car a total of 35 days for a simple repair and repaint. They lack in customer service and communication. I wish my mechanic would of never taken it there cause my previous experience a few years ago was the same way. They were supposed to fix something back then to and it was never done. I will never go back to this body shop or refer anyone to it. I would rather take a beating then to have to deal with Lokey's Body shop again. Please save yourself and do not use them. I'm new to Amarillo and Lokey's was recommended to me by a friend after a fender bender. They provided excellent customer service and kept me in the loop when the repairs were more extensive than originally anticipated. They also did an excellent job buffing the entire exterior of my car and detailing the interior. They also mounted a front license plate holder free of charge so I would be compliant with Texas state law. It felt brand new when I got my car back! These people will lie to your face. I bought a truck from them at their shop and they we're suppose to tix some stuff on it and also get some parts for it. They never fixed anything and only hot half my parts. They also lied about the window motor being replaced and the diesel motor in th yuck was basically trashed they just put enough gunk in it to mask the major oil leaks for a couple days. Avoid these people at all cost it will cost you in the end I learned the hard way. They seemed very nice talking to them but it was all lies. Just wanted to give anyone a fair warning read more
