The customer service has really declined. They sell prosecco, and if you asked, they'd put it in the fridge so it's chilled the next time you come in. I used to go in several times a week, for the convenience, but not anymore. It's cheaper to go to heb anyway. Then it's a tiny store to be able to walk through anyway and yet they have people setting up to try and sell you alcohol like some sort of venue. New local liquor store. Actually there was a previous liquor store here for over 35 years but the owners retired. Now under a new name and owner they are ready to serve your local liquor, beer, wine, cigar and lotto needs. Each Friday and Saturday evenings they offer samples of different spirits. We came today and we were greeted by wonderful people. They made you feel like family. I happen to just stop by to get a lotto ticket and my niece ended up buying some liquor. Lol. Omgulay LOL. Despite how tiny the store is, Live Oak Liquors is a pretty great one -stop shop for all your drinking needs plus a few curve balls to keep things interesting (lookin at you, rat-shaped pipe that's been chillin with all the smoking gear by the register) While I enjoy roaming around Don's or Spec's, I love how I can just be in and out of LOL with whatever I need. The owner is always behind the counter and is such a nice guy too, quick to let you know whats on special or even if you grab something regular price, he might just come up with a deal. More than you'd ever expect from your local liquor dealer. That guy Paras is truly a diamond in the rough. I genuinely believe he'd give me the shirt off of his back if I asked for it and I've only had the pleasure of meeting him a hand full of times.
