Something came up the next day and it wouldn't have been worth injecting a zit days later. So I called to cancel and am then told they couldn't refund me. I can still come in and get the service done any time, but since it was for a one time acne lesion, I won't really be needing it. Plus I work at a nearby med spa and was only in the area. It would have been nice if someone told me upfront that if I cancelled, my money would be kept. Especially because I understand that being the case for the deposit, but I was encouraged to pay the full amount and all of it was kept. Of course I couldn't dispute the charge because it's in their fine print... A little upfront honesty and clarity would have gone a long way though.

I had laser treatment performed on my entire face, including around my eyes. After the procedure, I developed severe post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation under both eyes. I was verbally told there was only a possibility of small hyperpigmentation spots, not extensive dark discoloration covering the entire under-eye area. I will admit that I did not thoroughly read all of the paperwork I signed. However, if I had fully understood that this could be a possible outcome, I never would have agreed to the procedure. I now look worse than I did before the treatment, which has been incredibly distressing and the emotional impact of this experience has been far greater than I was prepared for. I returned for follow-up appointments and was repeatedly assured that results can take up to 90 days. Unfortunately, at the 90-day mark, there was still no meaningful improvement. I contacted the spa again via text message, which had been our primary form of communication, and sent photos showing the condition of my eyes after 90 days. I never received a response. I strongly encourage anyone considering this treatment to fully research the potential risks and make sure they clearly understand all possible side effects before proceeding.

However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was surprised to learn there was a $150 consultation fee. This was never mentioned when I booked over the phone. Had I known beforehand, I would have appreciated the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to proceed. I believe patients should be informed of this fee before arriving. I originally scheduled a consultation because I wanted to explore my options for under-eye hollowness, cheek filler, and other treatments. My goal was to gather professional opinions before making a decision, since this is my face and I wanted to compare recommendations from different providers. Before my consultation even began, I was asked how I would be paying. I mentioned that I had about $800 available on my CareCredit account. The doctor immediately responded by asking if I would be using the full $800. That made me uncomfortable because I was only there for a consultation. After already agreeing to pay the $150 consultation fee, I felt pressured to move forward with treatment instead of taking time to think about my options. During the consultation, I explained my concerns and was recommended cheek filler and chin filler for approximately $1,700. When I said I wanted to think about it and possibly seek other consultations, I felt the interaction became somewhat rushed. I eventually agreed to only chin filler and a lip flip. The procedure itself was completed very quickly. When I checked out, my total ended up being around $800, including additional CareCredit fees that I was not expecting. Considering I received one syringe of chin filler and a lip flip, I personally did not feel the results justified the cost. I honestly don't notice much of a difference in my chin, and the lip flip never seemed to take effect. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. I believe consultations should feel informative and pressure-free, and patients should be given time to make decisions without feeling financially committed.
