This is a beautiful facility. This is my 2nd year (2018 and 2019) attending the Annual Giving Thanks Celebration - A Free Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors. The Lombardo family are the most down to earth, generous, and gracious individuals I've ever met. The building is massive and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a host. The banquet halls are beautiful . The banquet hall we were in held over 700 people. The bathroom is cleaned and decorated well. The Christmas decorations , the chandelier , the white decor and the holiday decor made the hall pop. This is a great place for a fancy event including a wedding. I came here for a wedding anniversary celebration in one of the halls on the second floor. The venue was clean and elegant. The simple elegance of this location makes it great for any celebration. One of the teens we know even mentioned that she would love to have her quinceañera here. The waiters did an excellent job timing out the courses during meal time and they were kind and made sure to ask if we had finished before removing our plates. The only thing is that the waiters come out of a door that's right next to the main platform/speaker. It's a bit distracting when there going in and out, but not too big of a deal. The pictures turn out gorgeous with that huge chandelier and is so beautiful that you really only need some beautiful centerpieces for decoration. Most people needed up taking their pictures at the chandelier anyway. read more

I thought about giving 4 stars because of the costs, but that's the market, and then I accounted for some factors. We put a 100 person gathering together in 6 weeks with some flexibility on dates and time. We had a number of menus to consider with respect to the number of guests and budget and we were allowed as much time as possible to finalize the food selections. I never felt like we were being sold or pushed in any particular direction. We ended up being the only event in the building on a Friday night which I'm sure meant that a number of people behind the scenes had to be in place just for our party, Even on the night of the event, the on-duty staff whom I' had never met, were flexible, attentive, and always had smiles on. For most of the guests in attendance it was their first time here so people had lots of questions about food timing, music, etc. We had short rib, salmon, chicken breast, Caesar salad, gelato, green beans, mixed vegatbles, chowder, and everyone raved about the food quality and how it was prepared. Initially the head chef was on duty so that made me feel good. It was my dad's 70th surprise birthday party and Sadie & Carolyn coordinated the event as seamless as possible all the while dealing with me and my mom's delayed responses and uncertainties. Being family owned is what drew my mother to Lombardo's versus some hotel chains and other venues. You could feel the hands on approach they took to what turned out to be the happiest I've ever seen my father. Thank you. read more

My wife and I initially visited Lombardo's as they were renovating the facility. We were thinking about going with another place because we were trying to save money, but after my wife went with a friend to Lombardo's promotional event following the completion of their renovations, she came to me insisting we do it there! Even with the pictures, I was convinced. The facilities are amazing. Brand new modern chandeliers, LED lighting that allows for any color of your choosing...everything just looked fantastic. We actually booked our wedding too late for their regular tastings of the food, so we had NO idea what the food would taste like until it actually came out that evening. We got the apple crusted brandy pork, and lo and behold it was excellent. The food came out hot, and was really good. And we didn't even go with the high-budget options! The staff at L's was very professional; I actually got alot of compliments about them post wedding. We had some last minute wedding attenders, which proved to be not a problem at all; a table was setup very quickly in time for our reception to begin. There was one hiccup; we were supposed to have a champagne hour with our cocktail hour...somehow it got forgotten in the shuffle. But they totally made up for it by throwing bottles of champagne on every table that night. People had a blast. Mike Polvere is my homeboy; he was really chill and accommodating, making our short-time table for wedding planning a breeze. Everything was explained clearly to us, and it was obvious on more than one occasion that everyone we dealt with one staff was flexible and courteous. The wedding exceeded our expectations; I'd recommend Lombardo's to anyone planning a wedding or any other event. The decor rivals that of over-priced hotels, the staff are excellent, the food was great. read more

Dear Lombardo's, I have always been strangely fascinated with your building. On trips down to the Cape, I would see your huge chandelier lighting up the area around your building. The other night, I finally got a chance to go inside and see it up close and personal for the first time. You have a lovely building, if a little cheesy and reminiscent of the 70s. The overuse of chandeliers confused me at first, but they grew on me as the night went on. Your food was standard mediocre for a function hall but the staff was very polite and fast. They even cleaned up glasses of wine that hadn't been finished! It was like having dinner at my grandma's house. The one huuuge problem I had with your building was the ladies restroom on the second floor. Now, I am by no means a tall woman so I didn't have as big a problem with this as my 5 foot 10 inch cousin, but seriously...did you get the toilets from a kindergarten? Maybe if your toilets were more than a half foot off of the floor, I would give you 4 stars...I'll visit again in a few years to investigate again. Love Me read more

The MRA recently held our Stars of the Industry at Lombardo's honoring our hourly employees. It was a great experience. We had nearly 400 guests, ran a complete program with openning reception and banquet, and were in an out in three hours. The food was great and the service was exceptional and the new look is fantastic. The Lombardo family has generously supported this event since its inception and we are very grateful to have them as members of the Mass. Restaurant Association. I am having a one heck of a time talking these so called wedding venues for past 24 hours. My worst experience was with Lambardo folks in Randalph ! They kept asking be questions such as Who will be the caterer, who will do the photography etc. I told them I have not decided on it. As usual women on the other side was pitching their own preferred caterer , photographer etc They insisted that they have to talk to them before they would give me a price. I said Since I have not decided on the vendors, I cannot give them the details. After nearly 15 minutes of song and dance, she tells me their GM will call me. Finally I get a call from the GM and he says the price for the hall is $30000. It is obvious this guy was bull shitting. He also said, if I change the bar from open bar to cash bar, the prices will go up ! I thought I will share this information with you all. If you are considering Lombardo for your family events such wedding, just AVOID them. It is not worth $30,000 per day. he said he will give the linen for that ! What a bull crap ! He probably thought, I will not know how the game works and I am a complete moron. If I use their own vendors, they get a cut from the vendors and make more money. Since I am not using their vendors, their prices go up. What a game ! Here is the best part; For similar services, another venue wanted $4900. I can use any vendor I want My advice: Avoid LAMBARDO ! it is not worth $30,000 for just the hall rent ! read more

Where do I start! This place is beyond amazing and the employees are very professional and tentative to your every need. Everyone from the front desk, severs, team captain, coat check in receptionist-- EVERYONE-- was amazing. We hosted a sweet 16 event and they helped us from beginning to end. Recently attended a charity dinner and was less than impressed with the atmosphere, decoration and the worst food. As a vegetarian I was offered grilled portobello with wilted spinach, quinoa and jasmine rice pilaf with sundried tomatoes. Sounds like a well balanced meal ............what I received was table scraps. Three green beans (from salmon entree) rice (from the chicken entree), 6 small cut up pieces of zucchini and two small salad tomatoes probably from the salad bar. No portobello, no spinach no quinoa. They should be embarrassed to have charged a charity a 501C for this as a meal. Lombardos you need to step up your game if you want to be competitive in the event space. read more

I've been here several times over the years and most recently attended a wedding there....ambiance wise..the place is amazing.....the spiral staircase leading upstairs with it's grand chandelier and decor are spectacular...especially at night.... The food however is a different story. Sorry folks..not impressed...not what I expected from such a prestigious venue. 90% of The hor 'd ouvres were cold and dry....As for the dinner...The grilled chicken seemed overmarinated and basically just tasted like Italian salad dressing...the sauce was bland..the side of mixed veggies were mush rather than al dente and the squashes has the seeds still in them..(to me that's just not upscale veggie prep)..and were NOT seasoned atoll and the potatoes..were eh eh.... Service was excellent...and our sever was attentive. Judging from the reaction of the folks seated at my table...it was a mutual agreement from all. Talking to the bride several days after the event..she too seemed unhappy with the situation....It's a shame because as I said...it's a beautiful venue to have a reception..too bad the food wasn't up to snuff.. read more

This place, the staff and management/owners, are AMAZING!!! We had my sister's wedding here on 10/10/15 and everything was exactly the way she wanted it. We were a little tough to deal with during the planning process, and had add/minus/switch a few meals at the very last minute and they did it without hesitation! The servers and room captain on the day of were amazing and so very helpful and amazing. My sister and our entire family could not be happier!! If you DON'T have your event here, you will be missing out on the the best in the business!!!!!! read more

I honestly don't know where to start... When i first saw the place i fell ilove with it! I thought it was the best place for me to have my wedding. Me and my husband payed the down payment and we reserved for our wedding. Everything was perfect! They promised me so much! I was so excited!! Couple of months passed and I had to call them and remind them that i have to come in for food tasting. I had to call them to remind them that i still haven't picked the table cloth etc. they basically got our money and forgot all about us! When the night of ur wedding came...thats when their promises became lies. They told me i was not allowed to have my "zaffe" from the stairs to our room...we had to fight and tell them that francesca told us we are allowed she told us we can! Saidie and carolyn said no! Then david said yes we can! Thats me about to enter! I was very annoyed and mad! The captain Eveline was absolutely amazing! She told me not to worry and that ill get what ever i want on my wedding day. As we enter the room and say our hellos, my husband notices that the chairs we picked for our seating were wrong! They gave us 2 separate chairs when we agreed on a love seat! The amazing Eveline changed our seats right away but in our first dance...they were all trying to change our seats! I don't understand why they did all that to us! They told us Everything was going to be perfect Nd not to worry! As soon as they got the money everything changed!!! Even in our food tasting, we agreed on what food, couple of weeks before the wedding they told us they cost extra and they are not in the package! Mind you they told us they were in our package! Also, in the beginning we were working with carolyn then after we paid and the deal was done we started to work with saidie. We did not like her work, and she was very rude to my husband to the point my husband had to walk out one time in one of our meetings. I wish i can go back in time and done my wedding at another place because i wasted my energy and money on a place that wasn't worth it. So don't let the looks fool you! read more

Great place..horrible DJ Everything couldn't have been more perfect than it was that day except for our horrible Dj that was selected for us. If anyone out there is booked with Lombardo's and has the DJ Lee Rosenthoff....cancel him immediately!! He ruined all of the songs he wasn't supposed to. Our first dance, cake cutting, last dance..you name it. He has a horrible voice, and we told him that we did not want him to make the show about him, and to just play the music. I guess in his mind, that meant singing "when the moon hits your eye". He was awful. If I can help anyone else out, I feel justice is being done. read more

We hosted our breakfast event at Lombardo's for 320 people and had a great experience. Staff were responsive and friendly and the food was really good and hot! I had a really positive experience- from the planning process right through to our event day. I would definitely recommend this location to others. Customer service is obviously top of their list and they were willing to work with all our last minute needs and questions! I attended a friends wedding here recently, The venue is definitely a throwback to the 70's and a little tacky. The function rooms and bathrooms have had a faceliftIt and are acceptable. Dance-floor needed to be refinished and was in rough shape. This place is definitely a cookie-cutter reception factory. There were three events going on at the same time on our floor. And, despite the air walls, we could still hear the music and thumping from the Bat mitzvah next door, the another wedding on the other side, and a concert downstairs. It was distracting during toasts and dinner especially. But it's a good place for budget minded people who are not concerned about these things. The food was actually good, we had salad and steak, (it wasn't Prime beef, a little tough but acceptable) service, staff and dinner rolls were great. Apps were nothing special, just large cubes of cheese and crackers with some meatballs-but I guess it's what you order. read more

Aside from the decor of this place there isn't much to talk about. I see other reviews that have the same problem as i do. It's the food!!! I would expect from such an upscale place that the food would be also. They raved about thier "exectutive "chef and most of the stuff is canned and frozen. Which amounts to the chef being not much more than a convection oven jocky. You should be ashamed to charge the prices you do for the food. You can find a catalog of banquet food online and have literaly the same thing. If this place knows a thing or two they would go from "getting the job done" to being a REAL function hall and getting a chef with some kind of creativity and skill. read more

My wedding was 9/10/11 and Kathy from Lombardos's was great. She helped with all the arrangements. She took care of everything. My wedding day was wonderful. Alison was my helper for the day and she did eveything. My dress lost a button and she was right there to fix it. She had eveything under control. She even wrapped up cake and favors for me to take home. The employees were nice and helpful. The event was great. I would highly recommend using Lombardo''s for your wedding or another event. I even had my regearsal there and everyone raved about the food and the quanity they recieved. I was very pleased with Lombardos and it was the correct choice to have my wedding there. read more

First let me start by saying that I generally write yelp reviews either when the service is truly amazing or it is simply horrendous. Unfortunately, Lombardos fell on the horrendous category. I really wanted to love Lombardos, but the service at this place is a complete joke. These people are by far one of the most incompetent people I've ever encountered, not to mention a bunch of racists who think they're better than you. All they are interested in is money. We paid lots of money to hold our function at Lombardos and we regret it deeply. It was supposed to be one of the best days of our lives and it turned out to be nothing but a disaster. Never again will we use Lombardos. We had learned of bad experiences with this place, but still wanted to try it out ourselves, not our best idea, to say the least. If you want your day to be special, get over Lombardos' bait (the chandelier) and get much better service at Lantanas adjacent to Lombardos or simply go somewhere where they won't f@#$ up your event. I've held functions at both and Lantanas runs circles around Lombardos. The staff at Lantanas are extremely professional, the service is great and their rooms are really nice. I would give zero stars if I could, but I guess the one star can go towards the chandelier, which if I'm being honest, is their only asset. Save yourself the headache, heartache and money and take your business elsewhere. Holding our event at Lombardos has been our biggest regret this year so I wrote this review hoping that I could prevent at least one person from repeating my mistake. Good luck! read more

I wanted to take a moment to review Lombardo's. I had my wedding reception here two weeks ago and it was spectacular. I am most impressed with the service. Cathy McNamara was so patient with me and my many questions. I am a bit of a control freak and planning my wedding, I was a bit crazy. Cathy never became frustrated or annoyed with me, even when I completely forgot about one of our appointments. Our day went off without a hitch and everything was perfect. Lombardo's is such a professional establishment and I had complete confidence in you all. Our Room Captain Very was OUTSTANDING. We never had to look far for her throughout the night. If we needed something, we looked over our shoulder and she was there every time. She was eager to please and gave exceptional service. I gave Lombardo's a 5 star review because of the reasons I've listed above but I have to be honest about one thing. I was not overly impressed with the food and neither were any of my guests. The hot passed hors d'oeuvre were delicious but I was not doing back flips over the entree. This being said, I would still recommend Lombardo's to any friends and family. read more
