First time using them and I must say, I am very pleased with the customer service from the first contact till the end! Jessie (Cust. service rep) called the morning of the work to let me know who was coming out and an estimated arrival time. Pleasant and professional, so refreshing to encounter. When the electrician arrived, he introduced himself (Dan) with a big smile, he put on his protective booties(raining outside) and started off with explaining the company background. Good information to know. I let him know why I picked their company, etc and he answered any and all questions that me and my dad had regarding the work. We needed a couple outlets put in, got a whole house power surge protector and a light switch updated. Dan gave us the cost, estimated time it would take to complete it and once approved, he got right to it. Once he was done, he explained everything and made sure we were good with this work. He actually found some issues as he was working, but he explained them and gave us his recommendation. Excellent work for a VERY reasonable price. They deserve a commendation because their quality is built into a willingness to explain clearly what is proposed and provide a detailed analysis of the estimated expense with options available to the customer. Lockwood did an awesome job solving my issues. I had flickering throughout the house and Dan came out and diagnosed a loose neutral and circuit panel box in need of dire repair. I was a new customer but they immediately took on the job and got to work rebuilding my home's electrical panel and restoring power to my house that day. When the bulb burned out in the ceiling light on the second floor stair landing, I asked Google for help. I tried to do it myself (bulb replacement, generally is not complex, but for someone 79 years of age, standing on chairs generally isn't advised). But I did part of the job anyway, removing the globe and dead bulb. The bulb came out of its metal base upon turning. The base was left behind, and needle-nosed pliers did not help with removal, so I called Lon Electric. The very next day Shane was at my door, waiting to help. We immediately agreed that the fixture should be replaced. As Lon Electric doesn't stock light fixtures, I arranged for Shane to come back the next morning after I purchased a suitable fixture. Before leaving, Shane attached a "loner" fixture that allowed us to truly remove "the dark at the top of the stairs". He and his "intern" were at my door the next morning at 8 am, ready to go to work. We now have more light than before (the 66 year old fixture is no longer), and all is well. In short, Shane and his assistant worked quietly and efficiently -- both wearing plastic shoe coverings to keep our carpets clean. I asked them to come in and evaluate my buzzing lights. They told me everything was safe and all I needed was new fixtures. As soon as they left the circuit popped. It may have popped before that but I just noticed afterward. I called back and they told me they would schedule a visit after the three day holiday...not that they would come back on the next business day, but that's when they would schedule the next visit. So I'm going a long holiday weekend with a burned out switch and no lighting on one floor of my house. And I payed them for this! read more

I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance and told the person scheduling that I was only available during the morning/early afternoon. She said that was fine and told me what day they were coming. I figured I'd receive some sort of reminder with a 4 hour window before that day arrived. I didn't get any notification until the day before the scheduled appointment just confirming the day. I called them immediately to hopefully get clarification as to when I should be expecting someone. The person on the other end said she had no idea and nobody would know until about 10 minutes before they arrived to my house. I told her I specifically needed someone to arrive before 2pm and her response was "maybe they'll be there before then but I can't promise you". I explained that I purposely told them when I made the appointment 3 weeks prior that I wasn't going to be available in the late afternoon. She then told me that they don't give appointment windows, they'll only schedule the days. She then accused me of lying when I said the person I made the appointment with confirmed that my preferred window of availability wouldn't be an issue (which was why I had to schedule 3 weeks in advance). She didn't apologize for the misunderstanding so I just canceled the appointment. I've never dealt with a company in the service industry that can't even provide a 4 hour appointment window or at least give the customer the option of choosing morning or afternoon. read more

In 2011 They put in a light above my kitchen sink. I was told LED, which it is not. The light fixture was so cheap it broke when we attempted to replace the bulb. They also replaced some over head ceiling light fixtures with LED, these were the real deal. The thing is we found out after the fact we were way overcharged. The kid how did the work was super nice but he wasn't even out of my driveway when the work was complete when the owner was calling asking if the young man was polite. It was so immediate it felt creep to me. Given the high cost for cheap materials and thinking I had a LED light when I did not I would never recommend this company. read more

We had a issue with our low voltage track lighting in our kitchen. We called made appointment and Chris arrived right on time. He listened to our issue and then checked out out system and found the problem. We needed 2 new transformers but told us to buy then and would install them....we saved a lot on the cost of the transformers by going to a outlet store versus their cost. We called again and they arrived even a bit early, installed both units and the cost was amazing compared to other quotes we got from other electricians. I needed an electrician and Lon Lockwood Electric was recommended. It was by far the best recommendation I've ever received. The team came the same day to check on the problem, and fixed it quickly. They discovered my home had faulty wiring and saved me from a house fire. (Apparently, the previous home owner tried to do DIY wiring...) I've asked them back for a number of home updating projects.
