This is a good spot for casual meal and beer. Huge beer (and Cider!!) selection. We went for the appetizer special (buy 5, get 1 free). We ordered the fried pickles, soft pretzel, jalapeño dip, and shrimp. We also ordered BBQ wings and Medium wings. Everything was good but not outstanding. Except for the pretzels, those were amazing and the mustard that is served with them is delicious!! I don't recommend the wings. They're extremely small with little meat on them and the "Medium" sauce is not spicy at all. They did have a nice crunch though.

Always loved this place. Beautiful patio and attentive staff. Amazing deals on food. Ordered a couple of times recently and was not disappointed. AMAZING wings, probably my favourite in all of London

Best vodka soda in the city

There is a bartender there named Greg whose existence single handedly wins the argument for intelligent design. A humble, kind, yet powerful deity. Makes a great vodka soda. The servers are all goddesses and the food is prepared by witches and wizards with an amount of love and attention you can barely expect from your own grandmother. Wings are the best around and I have a serious wing problem, so I know what I'm talking about. Drink specials all the time and they have sports on all TVs. Best patio downtown is out back and the squirrels are very well behaved.

I've been to the London Ale House a few times and as other people have mentioned it really can be hit or miss. I was here a couple of years ago for a Steam Whistle party which was awesome and then, a year later, as part of a large group for dinner which was unpleasant. My current four-star rating is based solely on my last visit, which was for BEERS ONLY. If that is your intention then this is certainly a viable option. My most pleasant experiences here has not involved food and their beer selection is good and the service is also not bad either. There are lots of TVs playing sports but also quiet corners to have a quiet conversation over beers -- which was my reason for recently attending. I actually don't remember much of the later part of the evening - which was the other part of my reason. If the weather is agreeable the patio in the back, while small, is a nice quiet spot in the middle of downtown. The patio out front, while even smaller, allows some people watching but not much of a view otherwise. My one complaint, over-and-above the food just being OK, is that the place seems to lack an identity. I mean, it is just a place to go and grab a few beers - which sometimes is all you are looking for. If that applies to you right now - then by all means head on over. CHEERS!

The last time I are there I got food poisoning so I'd recommend steering clear or only ordering deep fried food.

While here, I only got a drink with friends, so I'm not going to speak on behalf of what the food is like here. From what I remember though, a lot of the food here is what you would expect to see at a place like this. Basically, pub food - think fish and chips, burgers, poutine, etc. As you would expect, this place has a very extensive beer menu. However, I didn't get a beer while here, so again, I won't dive into that. You don't need to get just beer when here - their other drinks, such as their raspberry cocktail (or whatever the official name is called), are just as good too! Prices here seem reasonable, the service is friendly and food/drinks all come out quick. One star is taking off because I went here with a group of friends and we found it was extremely difficult to maintain a conversation among us three due to how noisy the place was (and I mean VERY noisy). So keep that in mind if you're thinking of coming here. Other than that - I highly recommend you check out this place sometime.

Storm Stayed has a large seating area with mostly communal tables but some at the bar. I'd call it "Scandinavian" style with light wood colors and not a lot of decoration. Over in the kitchen, a few options that pair well with the beers such as hot dogs and pretzels. Outside seating is also available but too hot today for that! The beer list is constantly changing as they make new ones. Many/most of their beers are available to go. A great option for chilling and I'm glad I landed here for a while! I'm SO happy to have a craft brewery in my neighborhood. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Just a short walk from my house, I can now enjoy a craft beer in a unique environment. Storm Stayed has lots of their own beers plus lots of guest brews to choose from. I had two types, their Daybreak (blonde ale), and their Bad Math. Both were very refreshing and SO delicious. Having been to a few small craft brewers here in town, I'd say that Storm Stayed had the best taste hands down! In addition to great beer, they have lots of seating and lots of games you can pick up and play. I love that they push a 'sit anywhere' policy. I'm sure on busy evenings, this would be a great way to meet people! Storm Stayed gets a half a mark off for overall atmosphere. If you are looking for something cozy and intimate, this may not work for you. With its tall, bare, white walls, large spaces between tables, and echo-y acoustics, it can feel kind of cold and cavernous. The top 40 music being played from the tiny speaker in the corner didn't really fit in either. These things, however, will not keep me away. I'm excited to stop in for more brews that Storm Stayed cooks up! They are always adding unique flavors and guest taps. They also host small events like bike workshops. I need to come back to try their small selection of locally made food. The pretzels sounded amazing.

I don't know if the DJ was the same but the music was awesome both of the times, keep the good work!!! The staff is friendly; the bartender told me Rye and ginger is the most drank combination, so when in Canada do as they, just watch out, tastes smoothly but hits you hard, well maybe after the 4th. This second time a guy had the amazing touch of sending me a drink (thank you!!). This time I arrived too early, people started showing up around 11:30. A bizarre anecdote: a lady approached me, booty bumped me, asked where I was from and left. A cool thing: while dancing a luchador appeared with lights in the shoes. For a moment I felt I was dancing in Playa del Carmen. I'll be back!!
