The server was pleasant and attentive but then we got the food. Not that good. My roast beef smothered in gravy over mashed potatoes with steamed veggies. The veggies were not steamed, they were barely warm and the carrots were hard as bricks. The smothered in gravy was all of 2 tablespoons of gravy, not at all what I call smothered. I recently moved out of the Greater Toronto Area for my new job, allowing me to venture into a city I've never been to - London, Ontario. My first night was brutal - cold, windy and hungry - and I walked nearly an hour to the restaurant. I was mesmerized by the dog figurines surrounding this old-fashioned pub - it showed how much love the owner has for his dawg house. I tried their honey n' hot sauce wings that gave a mild heat, with a large portion of flat-bone ribs that made me return for a second round. Delicious! read more

Everything, parking, associates friendly reasonable prices food was prepared just like I liked it...

The dawghouse has recently changed owners and we returned to try out their food. The new owner is very involved and made sure everything was good. The gumbo was delicious, nachos has many layers and very cheesy (real cheese) the Reuben was loaded with meat and the kettle chips were delicious as usual. Our group had 5 different dinners and they were all good. Try them again now that new owner has settled in! Our waitresses were also excellent! read more

Looking for a quick lunch to eat on a Saturday afternoon led my wife and I to a 5 minute stroll down to the neighbourhood eatery "Dawghouse". Because of Covid restrictions we ate outside on the patio which was fine with us considering the great weather. My wife ordered the chicken and avocado flatbread , she found it very delicious. With the addition of corn salsa and garlic aioli made it that much more special! Lots of layers of flavours. Myself I ordered the chicken caesar wrap with kettle chips lightly seasoned. The wrap was generously filled and was very much appreciated for that. It was very tasty! Service was excellent as we were attended to very prompt and friendly , the safety protocols were totally efficient. We will be barking up the tree of this Dawghouse much more often and totally recommend this place to anyone. 2 paws up . read more

I had a late lunch today at the Dawghouse Pub and Eatery. Katie was my server. I was torn between the Smothered Chicken Penne and Chicken Parm. She said the Smothered Chicken Penne was one of her favourites so that's what I ordered (with no peppers). It was really good. The pasta was cooked well. The blush sauce was creamy and tasty. There was lots of cheese. The side garlic bread was good. I'd get it again. Katie was friendly and took good care of me. Haven't been to the Dawghouse for sometime and what a disappointment We had the chessy top dawg and what a huge disappointment , burger was tasteless and the cheese was tasteless and the kettle fries were burnt WOW . Service was very slow as they only had one server on and she was working the entire restaurant by herself and to top things off the did not have the A/C turned on . The Dawg house has become just another bar with pub grub. Maybe the previous owners should buy the place back and bring the Dawg house back up to the standards it has always enjoyed read more

We arranged a party for 20 people to celebrate our moms 80th birthday a month in advanced. We reconfirmed a week before. When we arrived tonight, they had no recollection. Our waitress was pleasant and was running off her feet trying to keep everyone happy. There simply wasn't enough kitchen staff to keep up with the demand although the place isn't even 1/2 full on a Friday night when the Leafs are playing. This place really has gone to the dogs over the last year or so. The most annoying part -it's a problem with management, and they are no where to be found. read more

First time visit early Saturday evening. The place was packed. We were quickly seated. The server was fast, efficient and friendly. A free bowl of popcorn was provided. Nice. Our order was taken quickly and the food delivered relatively fast considering how busy it was. I ordered a Rueben with kettle chips. The sandwich was ok. Nice size. The chips were good. No dipping sauce with the chips. Another of our party ordered the chicken fingers. They looked ok but not nearly as nice as the chicken fingers I had at lunch at The Fireside earlier today. I personally did not enjoy the atmosphere. This place is a pub and as such, serve a lot of alcohol. As a result a lot of the people around us were drunk, loud, and obnoxious. Although I have no issues with the food or service or price, I will not return because of the atmosphere alone. Too noisy. If you like being around obnoxious, then you will like this place. I am not going to subtract a star because of the atmosphere. This is just that type of place. Not my style, but if you like it, then by all means, check this place out. Ended up stopping in London to get some food on Sunday and somehow managed to find the Dawghouse Pub and Eatery! Upon entering this place I was pretty excited about how many pictures and statues of dogs are around since dogs are one of the most important things in the world (in case you didn't know). The waitress we had was super friendly and quick to take our order and provide us with water. After looking over the menu I settled on giving the meatloaf and mashed potatoes a try and I'm glad I did! The meatloaf was full of flavour and the mashed potatoes were soft and covered with a delicious gravy. This place is just a no-holds-bar neighbourhood pub where you can go to hang out. I'm so glad we found this place right near the hotel during our stay in London. We walked in and the first thing I notice is that they the decor lives up to the Dawghouse name as there were numerous porcelain dog statues of all types and sorts decorating every nook and cranny of the place. What's not to like about that?! Dawghouse Pub is a WYSIWYG kind of place. It's a no-frills place that offers drinks of an alcoholic nature and comfort foods while you and some friends catch the game on the many different screens or whatever else. The prices on the menu are fair and the food comes as described. It's not fru fur and that's totally ok! Plus, they give you free popcorn at the table when you sit down. Who doesn't like free popcorn?! I settled for the open-faced roast beef sandwich and it was yummy and filling on a wintery night. Thick slices of roast beef smothered in gravy and a horseradish sauce on a slice of bread. Everyone at my table was pretty satisfied with the generous portion sizes of their dishes and some even had to get a take-away box. The food was great. The server was impolite, and rude. Today I went to this restaurant with my sister and couple of her friends. My sister is 12 years old, and she wanted to order from the kids menu. When she went to order the server was denying that my sister is twelve. She asked for id. What type of question is that?!?! Why would my sister have ID in the first place? We told the server that she is twelve and that she was born in 2010. The lady seemed annoyed and was insisting that she is not twelve. Eventually, the server did let us order from the kids menu for my sister. When we got the food it tasted delicious!! It tasted great 10/10!! After when we were going to leave. The server came back and said that we were lying to her. And because she was "blond" that she is apparently easy to trick. The server said that if she was born in 2010 she would be 13. Me and her friends all started saying that she is a September baby. We did not lie. This server cannot just assume things. This greatly offended my sister, and made her feel upset. The staff are nice but this is not meant for a family. This has happened to us twice when we have gone with a large group after baseball. One time we waited over an hour for food, then when the food came out, kids' food came out 10 minutes after everyone else - kids typically come out first particularly when dealing with toddlers. A few weeks later went back thinking it was a one-time thing - was in a smaller group this time - kids came out last minus mine who came out 15 minutes later than everyone else when they told me it was going to be 5 minutes later. By the time mine arrived everyone else had finished including the kids who were ready to go home. Ended up asking for them to pack it up to go - which ended up being cold by the time I got home. I called the manager that evening to discuss it - he met me with apologies and promised to look into it and get back to me. Never called and followed up. Will not be returning again and likely be losing our sports team who goes that regularly. read more

Went for the wing night, neat little pub in the middle of suburbia. Great staff very friendly! Showed up at 6:30, place was packed, sat us at the bar while we waited for a table. But then had us a clean table before we could get our pints. Felt very welcome there, 8/10 for hospitality. Ordered our wings, had beer and popcorn while we waited. Wait staff were super busy but all had a quick smile and a kind word for anyone they passed. The wings themselves were average at best. The look of this place was so cool, this coming from a dog lover. There are dog decorations everywhere. I loved that. The menu had quite a large variety of food options to choose from. I went with a chicken sandwich. I wasn't totally blown away, but I don't think they really excel at the food portion of the experience. We went on a Saturday for lunch and totally lucked out, all their burgers (w/ the exception of the Top Dawg Burger) were on special for $7.00!! I got the Moosecreek Burger and it was exactly as advertised, a large homemade burger that tasted great and left me feeling very satisfied and full!! I chose a side of onion rings, which were also included in the price. Service was GREAT! I felt we could be in for something special when we walked up to the entrance and the place was nicely busy with local Londoners enjoying food and drinks. In the rather boring city of London, the one thing you can find a a number of decent local sports bars. I haven't been to the Dawghouse in years, but a Hallowe'en discussion in a drunken stupor reminded me I should go back. One of the ironies of London is that fact, despite being the birthplace of Labatt brewery, many of the Indie pubs have been monopolized by Molson. As a result, draught choices are limited to Canadian, Coors and other pints disguised by the Molson-Coors label. Boo. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and price of the menu. There is a good array of bar food including wings, burgers and all the usual suspects. Nothing was bad, in particular the burger. The dawghouse platter is a great value and the potchos, made with kettle chips instead of nachos looked solid. They have good daily food and drink specials too. In an area inundated with chain restaurants, you'll get better food at a better price if you dine on Wilkins instead of Wellington. read more

Came here for the first time on a Saturday night with a party of 8. The place was packed and very high energy, which is what we were looking for. Despite the volume, we never had to wait long for drinks. Food arrived lightning-fast, and the veggie burger was unexpectedly really great! Yes, that's right, a pub that has a yummy vegan option. Fried pickles took no time to arrive but that is because they had already ben fried and had been sitting for some time as they were barely warm. I had the Top Dawg burger. It has bacon, mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions and a side of fries. The fires were so so. The burger looked great but was way over cooked.
