Terrible work and terrible service. We brought in my daughters senior prom dress, straight from the dress shop that highly recommend this tailor. We paid $160 for the dress to be taken in and a hem. When we picked up the gown it was after hours and she was not able to try it on. Days later she went to try it on and was unable to unzip it. We can see that the zipper was placed too high up so we could no longer use the clamp either. Next morning I called the tailor and they told me to bring on the gown. I drove 30 mins to the mall and the woman had no recollection of our call. She looked at the zipper and told me my zipper was broke and it would cost $50 to repair. I reminded her that I called and that they did the work on the dress. In showing her then noticed that the dress was separating from the seams. She told me that I did that trying on the dress and that they didn't touch my zipper. She called another woman on face time then she gave me the phone to speak to the woman who also told me she did not touch my zipper but I could leave it until the next day and she would look at it. Fearing that she would fix it but hold my dress hostage until I paid for the new repair I asked her directly if she would fix the zipper for no additional cost. She just repeatedly stated leave the dress and she would look at it the next day. I told her that I lived 30 mins away and only came to this shop because of the recommendation from the dress shop. That I would let them know about my poor service and I would write this review. Then she agreed to do it for free. I left anyway. Bad service. Poor quality. I wonder if it's new owners they do not live up to the prior reviews (that are aged) or the recommendations of the dress shop. Do not use this place. I paid $30 for another tailor to fix the gown. ​ read more

Very very pleased with London Custom Tailor. I had two quilted jackets w snap buttons where one had pulled out completely from one side and another was hanging by a thread. I took these to London and at first they were hesitant to tackle this; after a quick ego stroke where I told them I had heard that they were the best around, the tailor said that he had an idea and would give them a shot. I was in no rush for these fall staples so I told him a two week pick up date was fine. I stopped by on my date of pick up and they were ready to go and perfect. Only $9 each and so totally worth it! I will def go to them for any future tailoring needs. read more

I needed a small alteration done to the top of bridesmaid dress and he had me try my dress on, made a mark and that was it! He was finished with it a week later and only charged $30. Destroyed my vintage party dresses. They fit better before he touched them. Also they were dirty as if they were dropped on a dusty, unclean floor. Didn't even bother to clean them. Charged me $50 per dress and I feel like I was completely duped. read more

Went here on a referral from another alterations shop that was unable to accommodate my dress alterations (difficult hem on a traditional wedding dress). I was glad I did. It was originally a little pricey for what I was expecting, but when I took into account the rush request and the three layers that needed done, it was completely understandable. LITERALLY the best experience I've had with a tailor. Mr. Lee is second to NONE. I've visited many "master" tailors inside Harford County and out. Taken many shirts, blazers and pants to those said tailors and was never completely satisfied. A shirt that needed shortening on overall length came out uneven, Pants that needed hem weren't sown properly/uneven, and blazers I requested waist suppression just wasn't enough even when I specified the look I was going for, those tailors were never comfortable (and I understand not all things can be done due to proportions of said blazer and so on). These problems don't happen with Mr. Lee. Pant waist has been taken in and fit perfectly. A few blazers needed shortening on sleeves (one of which had to be taken in from the shoulders), waist suppression came out a success except for one blazer in which I needed just a tad bit more taken in, took it right back and Mr.Lee corrected it free of charge. This indeed is the work of a master tailor. Turn around rate is FAST. You honestly can't go wrong with this man. Trust and respect his work and you'll look the best you possibly can with the clothes you bring to him. read more

The name sounded good, But the work and Customer service Is Very poor !! I Bring a Jacket to have simple adjustment. He Charges $ 85.00 for simple Sleeves waist chest, It took him one week. ok, Then I wear to A party, And I noticed in pictures the jacked would bunch at the back of neck. ILL Fitting , Dreadful. So I return to and ask how could he not see it was incorrect ?? He said it needed adjustment , and it would be additional $85.00 That is poor workmanship !! and even worst customer service !! I took my $1300 Pronovias wedding dress to Mr Lee at London Tailors in White Marsh mall. He is a little hard to understand at times (it's my accent vs his accent, so we both had a hard time) but his work is AMAZING! He shortened the dress straps, made a bustle for my dress's ridiculously long train, sewed on an appliqué that I took off of a bridal belt, and shortened the whole dress by about 4 inches, which is very difficult because of the layers of organza in the dress. I was quoted over $600 at another place, but Mr Lee only charged me $190 for EVERYTHING. He saved me so much, and he did 2 fittings, and he even said if anything needs adjusting, just bring it back (no charge). Who does that for only $190??? I am just blown away!!! read more

I came here for the first time a few years ago for a bridesmaid dress alteration. I was in a bit of a panic because the dress was several sizes larger than what I needed and I was afraid the proportions would look off, but he did a perfect job! I came back again last year to have a sari blouse I ordered online fixed (which I really botched on my estimated measurements!) and once again he came to the rescue with a perfect fit, and at a great price! I felt compelled to write this review because Mr. Lee's competency is amazing. My family has taken several garments to him for alteration and all of them came back perfect. The only thing you notice is that it fits you perfectly, you can't even tell it's been altered. His pricing is also VERY reasonable. I was expecting to get quoted over $100 to take in a dress with a lot of beading and sequins but only got quoted $68, steal! If you're in the area, I would take my alterations to him. For a quick-turnaround backpack repair job for a traveler in need, my experience today was incredible! My backpack has been used and abused this past year, leaving the straps hanging on by mere threads; the attendant was very accommodating in very quick turnaround time (took car of this for us in one hour for a completely reasonable fee).
