I shop at London Drugs pretty frequently and typically have great service. I'm not sure if it was a bad day for the customer service lady at the front, I won't name any names in case it was a one off. My car battery died and my portable booster also died, I didn't have any booster cables so after shopping I went back inside to ask if I can plug the portable booster in behind the counter so I can go wait with my kids in the car & see if I could find someone to boost me. The lady said straight up, "no". I asked her why not and she responded by saying "because I don't want to". I said "okay, I'd like to speak to your manager". She called her manager over and as we were waiting I was looking in front of me, and the lady gets defensive thinking I am staring at her name tag (which I was not), she rudely says "you don't need to stare at my name tag" as she flips it around. I responded with a laugh and said "I wasn't staring at your name tag, but great customer service", obviously sarcastically. Management arrived and this lady impatiently says "she wants to plug this in back here". Management looks at the plug and says, "okay, can we use this plug ?" And the lady says "I don't want to touch it." Then management suggests that I can plug it in inside of the entrance doors. I request again to put it behind the desk so I can go outside with my kids and she states that they don't want to touch it and I am not allowed behind the counter to plug it in myself. I appreciate her suggesting another outlet and I go to plug it in & wait inside the store at the entrance. As I am waiting the lady at customer service complains to management that I was staring at her name tag while we were waiting for her. I pop my head over and I tell them both that I was not staring at her name tag and she responds saying "omg" and rolls her eyes. I did after the fact look at her name tag, only because of her rudeness when I was just looking for some help. If you are reading this, try to be compassionate and kind because you never know what other people are going through. Most people aren't out to get you, I was just looking for some help so I wasn't left stranded. Plus, that's part of your job in customer service. read more

The staff are always helpful, from the photography to the computers and wellness to assist. Trying to find an outdated part for a computer and all other stores charge over $45. They had one and at half the cost. thank you read more

The company I was working for was in need of a shredder and London Drugs had a huge bargain on them. I was voted the lucky person to go and pick up the shredder, and I have to say, I'm glad this was the case! When I first walked into the London Drugs, it was a little overwhelming. All the aisles are so high and the store was extremely busy. I made my way to the back of the store to the computer section. The manager of the department personally came over and answered all my shredder questions. He went above and beyond by also getting the shredder down from the display shelf, recommending how to use it best, giving me his business card in case I had any problems with it, and assuring me if it's not what I need, I can bring it back for a full refund. I was starting to think service like this no longer existed! I have NEVER been so impressed with the service in a computer department before! I have no qualms about recommending this particular London Drugs store and their computer department in particular for all your computer/technology shopping needs. The manager there is EXCEPTIONAL (I just wish I could remember his name), and I have full faith you will experience A grade service like you've never experienced it before! read more

Review #22 of Yelp's 30 Day Challenge 2012 I needed a new iPhone cable and I needed one fast. Heaven only knows what happened to my charger a couple of weeks ago, but it was gone and my new iPhone was on its last legs (Note: If you haven't noticed, the iPhone 5 has a completely different plug thingy from previous models... so old cords won't do!). The first London Drugs location I called transferred me to the Electronics department and nobody answered. So I put on my thinking hat and figured I might have better luck calling the Electronics department directly for another location. So not just a pretty face. Ha! Someone answered right away and within minutes was back to let me know the cord I needed was in stock. I raced over (as racey as one can get anyone while not breaking any laws) as they closed at 8. Did I mention this was a Sunday night? They were the only store I could come up with that was open late enough on a Sunday to suite my needs. Yes! I got sidetracked by all of the other iPhone accessories in the mean time. One of the ladies working in the department was quick to ask me if I needed help finding anything. I didn't... I stopped drooling over more things I could spend my money on and paid for my cord. When I got home, I found my original charger cord in the front of my tote bag. I swear that was the first place I looked! Ah well, now I'm covered if I actually ever lose one! read more

I've always been a London Drugs fan, but my last two experiences there have not been great. I was in two weeks ago, bought some stuff. The service was ok, but not great, however it's leading up to Christmas and hectic, I get that. No worries eh. When I got home I realized I have been overcharged by $10 on one item and $8 on another. I spent just over $100 so that is a significant overcharge. I live outside of the city so it was a bit before I could get back in with one of the items, still in the original box, not even opened and the wrapper for the other (I had already watched the DVD) and had to dig the wrapper out of the recycling. When I went back in, with my receipt, I went to customer service thinking this was an easy mistake to fix. I was cheery, even when I was sent to a different department. There were no smiles or hellos, I was told that they could fix the first problem, but not the second as I didn't have the DVD. I explained that I was from out of town and had forgotten the DVD, but maybe we could look on the shelf and if they had the same DVD for the same price it would answer the question. I was told no, but when I said again that I came from out of town she said she would call the manager. Fair enough. He didn't even try to be friendly, so I lost some of my friendly, wasn't rude, but wasn't happy. He sighed when I suggested comparing the DVD's on the shelf to their system (there were several misprices, but up to $14 on a $27 item!) Lucky for them I didn't have the DVD as it stalled in a couple of places so I would have asked for a replacement disc. They did give me back the difference on the two purchases. No sorrys, no smiles, no eye contact. When I asked about the Scanner's Code of Conduct that they are a part of, the manager said, "it only counts if you notice it at the cash register, you can't come back if you notice it later." I've since checked and the code of conduct recommends a speedy resolution, preferably within a month. I've been in some long line-ups in my day, but never so long as a month, so I am pretty sure you can actually leave the store before noticing the problem. It also says it is only for items with no price tag, so it wouldn't have counted anyways but still. Crappy attitude, crappy service. I left without purchasing the photo mats, batteries and vitamins I was planning on buying there. And I may well not bother going back at all, even though they have a great gluten-free section with items I have not seen elsewhere. So, double-check your pricing, then make sure you watch the till. read more

Give the asshatery of people right now, the staff is great. I stood in line and listened to the demands and accusations of the customers and I have no idea how the staff gets thru a shift. The rationing is reasonable for the circumstances (and clearly marked), the prices are still fair - despite some customers claims (yes, 30 rolls of TP actually costs $15; and that is actually a pretty good deal). The rudeness and nastiness of some of the customers is absolutely pathetic. read more

Staff here are very nice. I was 8 months pregnant and was looking for a humidifier. I couldn't reach one that was high on the shelf. One of the guy that worked there saw I was struggling, trying to reach high so he came over and helped me out with it, not only that he helped me all the way to my car. This is a no star review!!! I bought a telephone in May 2017 from this London Drugs store on 32nd Street North East as my 51 year old son needed a phone as he had open heart surgery and needed a phone by his side to get calls about his Warfarin medications. They talked me into the extended warranty and now won't even stand by the warranty on the phone purchased from their store. I called the extended warranty and they were nice but told me the store I purchased it from would refund the phone on another phone or give me another phone the same as I bought for up to one year. I took it in today as call display wasn't working. They said it must have been dropped, sat on, pressed too hard - any excuse not to stand by their warranty. I am in my mid 70's and have never in my life seen such terrible customer service. It angered me. They eye balled that phone trying to find a Mark on it that would void the contract. She pointed to a thumb print and said there is where you dropped it. I wiped the mark off. She got this other person a man - I guess with better eye sight than any Human being and he pointed to a mark smaller than a end of a pen. read more
