My favorite brunch spot in London. The food, service, and atmosphere are all wonderful. I have been a few times now and have reservations to go back with friends who are visiting. I love their bottomless brunch options on the weekend and enjoy they have my favorite tequila so taste of goodness. I have tried their Burrata toast, burger, brick chicken and their BACON!! All were amazing but that bacon is so good. Make sure you order a side of the thick cut bacon. Our server recommended the brick chicken and it was delicious! I was at an NFL pep rally at the Barrowman next door and just as I was about to leave, it was raining quite heavily. I didn't know what to do, so I just looked at my map to see what I wanted to do next... Grind popped up, which is a place my friend recommended, and it just so happened to pretty much be next door. So I went there and got a seat at the bar as I had no reservation. There, I ordered their popular espresso martini, and it was fantastic. The bartender also recommended the wings, so I got those too. Unfortunately, they took almost an hour to show up. I don't know what happened, but the bartender was extremely gracious about it and took it off the tab. For what it's worth, they were full of flavor. They weren't the best wings I ever had but the value was there and I very much enjoyed my meal. This was an easy walk from the tower bridge area. I was able to get a table immediately. The chai latte was a really good start to the morning as I waited for my meal. I ordered the grind vegetable breakfast I wanted to get something to go but they said no take out containers so that was a bummer. The food was really delicious. Like most of the other Grinds, this one has a personality all its own, relative to the area it's located in. Given the hustle and bustle of London Bridge, this place mirrors it quite well, with an always-loud interior, frazzled/ overworked staff, long wait times, and industrialized decor. The food and drinks, however, are top-notch. The menu is quite the same as you'll find in most of the other Grinds scattered throughout London, and includes a mixture of healthy-ish and not so healthy-ish options. The coffee itself is okay, from what I remember, but since they also happen to serve cocktails here, I can never seem to walk in and just order a regular cup of joe. My go-to favorites for drinks are the Elderflower Spritz and the Hot Flat White Russian, depending on the weather. The spritz is a perfectly-refreshing Summertime drink, and the Flat White Russian is a warm and toasty concoction, made all the toastier by that Grey Goose and Tia Maria thrown in. Foodwise, pick your poison. I love the brunch foods served here, as they have a rather Aussie/ LA vibe, and range from hotcakes and hearty porridge to croquettes and fried chicken sandwiches. All good. The location is super easy to get to if you're traveling by public transport as it's, literally on the Bridge itself. And, it's also convenient if you're in the area for some sightseeing or shopping at Borough Market. Just don't expect this to be one of those working-on-your-laptop-type coffee shops. We found London Grind when walking up from the underground station, but didn't know what to expect. We started with an espresso, which was perfection! My hubs and I both selected the avocado, egg breakfast wrap. It has scrambled eggs, peppers, hot sausage, avocado, spinach, and a great creamy sauce. IT WAS AMAZING! Highly recommend ordering this! I found this place through instagram and I think the food was just okay. It's quite aesthetic and good for the gram but in terms of food quality and flavor... I don't think I'd come back. My friend ordered the One Pan Egg, which is like a shakshuka dish, and I ordered the English Breakfast. Out of all the english breakfasts we've had in London, there really wasn't anything spectacular about the english breakfast here... I love coffee, I love cocktails. So it's easy, I really like this place!! During the day, there is free wifi and they cut it off in the evening as they want people to speak to each other!! This place is right next to the London Bridge! Super hip decor with the neon signs and marble countertops. Mainly a younger crowd. I got the wild mushroom hash and a small latte. The mushrooms were amazing! And the potatoes were so crispy and delicious, I wish I was there to eat it all over again! My friend got the breakfast burrito and she said it was very good as well. Vibrant atmosphere! It's like a coffee house on steroids! My fiancé and I arrived during prime time hours between 9-11am. Started off with an Aperol spritz - made with Aperol, Prosecco, soda. Very good! Next we ordered "Wild mushroom hash and egg." Presentation was lovely, dish was good. We also ordered the "Smashed Avocado" I ordered mine without the bread but plate is served with chili, toast, a poached egg and your choice of either Feta, bacon or beetroot-smoked salmon. Hmmm, after visiting on a few occasions, I really can't grasp this place at all. The service is soooo bad, pretty much as soon as you arrive you feel unwelcome and like they can't wait for you to eat and then leave. The tables are also mega close together, so if you need that all important loo stop during your coffee, it's a challenge to get out. What the grind does and it does it well, is damn good coffee! The coffee is great, although there's a certain lack of coffee art, if you take the soya or almond milk with your coffee.. That said the coffee is strong and goes down even better if you sample some of their food. I'm an avocado crazy girl, so always get the smashed avocado on toast with a poached egg... It's a small portion but damn it's good! Another big sticking point for me is the non optional service.. Boy it sucks, that they don't even give you the option to not pay it.. It's just added to your bill... I love the grind, so if they could just sort out the service here, then this place would be my go to stop in London Bridge! read more

I booked London grind for our monthly book club. This time we made it breakfast before work, which does limit choices around London. The reviews on this store were mixed and I was unsure if it was a wise decision. I booked for 8 and when I arrived at 7am turns out 4 of our party couldn't make it. The staff weren't too concerned and we volunteered to move to a smaller table so they could fill that table later. The staff were really friendly and took coffee orders right away. The restaurant was reasonably busy for that hour, but I didn't feel we had to wait too long for any of our orders. I settled on baked eggs and 2 coffees (they never make the cups big enough :(). The baked eggs were delicious but far too filling for me. The other girls had avocado with eggs, and the breakfast focaccia, which all looked amazing. As some of the other people said there isn't a great deal of room to move between tables, but in London where space is at a premium I didn't find it too bad. I would definitely recommend heading to a grind for a before work brekky. And do take a moment to learn some itlaian in the loos. read more

And I did right stopping by. The coffee is great, had an americano and my friend had hot chocolate, all for less than £6 which is fair for the location. Literally opposite to London Bridge station, so obviously quite visible, right at the entrance of the City, so all reasons to be pricey. But it isn't. That being said, I was not impressed by the service. When baristas and waitresses/waiters do not smile at me, it's always a big red flag. And even more so when you're at a central commuting point for most Londoners. I assume that many customers stop by before getting their trains on their way home right after work. So it's reasonable to expect an atmosphere to relax... which it does definitely not have. All considered, like I said above, great location and great coffee. But that's about it. Great place for brunch/ friends hang out! Get to know this place from Instagram and gave it a shot. I've made booking through open table, which takes only less than 5 minute. Wise to make booking as I went there on Sunday morning and it's super crowded. The employees there are very friendly and gave us good recommendations. We got the sweet potato Harissa cakes with poached egg (4.5/5), French banana toast with coconut cream (4.7/5), and the breakfast burrito with eggs, sausage, bacon (4/5). (Ratings in bracket). The potato harissa cakes are crispy outside and soft inside, it goes well with the sauce - a great combination of sweet and tint of spiciness. I especially love the coconut cream in the French toast, as the coconut scent really lift up the French toast. It's nice that they use homemade banana bread as the base of the toast. Breakfast burrito is served with a mayo/ tartar taste sauce. For drinks, we ordered ice coffee and ice chocolate. It's was really nice of London grind to be accommodating as there's only hot chocolate in the menu, they are willing to make ice chocolate for me as it's a hot day. The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the London Bridge, and walking distance to the Tower bridge. The interior is very cute and the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. I decided to drop by here before my flight back to the US and was seated immediately on a Thursday morning. I had an avocado toast with ice coffee and it was delicious. I had some time to kill before my flight so I asked my waitress if she knew of any storage facilities nearby where I could rent a locker for a few hours and she told me that I could actually leave it with her in the restaurant while I explore the area! I'm sure the restaurant sees a lot of travelers having a corner for luggage storage is probably one of the more accommodating features of this establishment. We had an excellent time here, really great friendly service and delicious food. We had the chicken and the sweet potato harissa cake and both were very good. The grind espresso martini is a must have, we tried several other cocktails that were very good as well. Came here for dinner and drinks with a friend a couple of months ago. On the plus side, the pudding was incredibly yummy - really rich and chocolatey, and I could easily have polished off a couple despite it being so delicious. The fish fingers I shared as a starter with my friend were also pretty yummy, and with gorgeous batter on them. My main, however, was rather a disappointment... I ordered the burnt cauliflower with vegan aioli, and it wasn't pieces of cauliflower as I'd imagined, perhaps battered for dipping or at least in some way cut up. It was literally half a cauliflower that had been charred in some spices. Paying eight quid to have half a cauliflower dumped on a plate in front of you is rather the height of hipster madness, and had I realised/the menu been clearer, I certainly wouldn't have ordered it. It was tasty, but needless to say I was not impressed... In short, tasty food, nice enough ambience, but definitely super hipster in its menu. If that's your scene, perfect, but if you'd rather not pay 8 quid for half a cruciferous vegetable that's kissed a hotplate, perhaps just stay for the cocktails! read more

It's a cafe / restaurant, not a disco I've been coming to London Bridge grind on and off for the last three or so years. I arranged to meet friends here on Saturday for lunch & coffee. We got a table and sat down. Unfortunately, one of my friends said that he would have to leave because the noise (music) was too loud. This isn't the only time I've realised the music is too loud. And when we left a couple of my other friends said that they were not sure we'd have been able to hear ourselves talk at The Grind. Anyway, I got to thinking about why we went to the Grind. It was to have coffee, lunch and a conversation. We had no intentions of getting up on a dance floor. So my question to Management is this. Why have you changed the London Grind into a Disco instead of a relaxing place to meet friends for lunch? My advise is to turn the god damn music down to a level that's not upsetting / obstructing people's enjoyment. read more

I visited on Sunday around lunchtime to meet a friend from out of town. We had to wait a bit for a table but that was expected, so not a problem. We both opted for the full english with a pot of tea each. At some point, I asked for a top up of hot water on my early grey and I was informed that this was not a service they offered. I find this silly and unwelcoming. The cost of the hot water is essentially zero, so it seems like the aim is to encourage you to order another pot of tea, which I was not minded to do. So the net effect was just to annoy me. I'm sorry to say that the full english was also slightly disappointing. The hash brown was oily and the bacon was not as crispy was I would have liked. There's a lot of food, and it was cold by the time I finished. A piping hot plate would have helped a lot with this issue. Good marks for the poached egg done just right, however. To top it all, Grind insists on pumping out aggressively loud music. Standard in the evening but unwelcome at Sunday lunch time. read more

For me, everyone who worked here that I encountered was friendly and accommodating. They have a pretty good espresso too which went will with the blueberry and custard pastry I got. Met a friend for what started as coffee and ended as coffee and a cocktail. It is a bit of an odd space with tight quarters. My friend enjoyed her coffee, I enjoyed my warm pot of tea, and we both loved our cocktails. I got something from the list with Mezcal and my friend ordered an espresso martini. The drinks were nice, music was good, and embiance nice. I didn't feel very relaxed because of the tables being so close together. But overall it was ok. There's no secret I'm a huge fan of the Grind chains. They know good coffee and the cocktails aren't bad either. Their venture in London Bridge has just added to their portfolio of great cafes with great comfort food to boot. It can get pretty busy on a weekend, so be prepared to either wait or grab yourself a drink and a snack from their tasty range of muffins, brownies and pastries to go. They do a good sit down dinner, the cocktail and wine list is impressive for somewhere that isn't first and foremost just a stand alone bar. The staff are friendly and helpful. Don't be British if for whatever reason they don't get your order right on busy days - they train a lot of staff and do their best to keep it to a high standard...if you havre a problem, speak up and they'll take it off the bill and remedy the problem the best they can. read more

Visited today after previous great experiences at the shoreditch location. Sadly, I was forced to rate them at only 2 stars today due to horrendous customer service. My coffee and breakfast were delicious, but overshadowed by the complete lack of attentiveness and service. After being seated, it was at least 15 minutes before our order was taken- and I had to flag someone down. Coffee took ages to arrive, and the food even longer. No sense of urgency or issue from the staff- we were completely ignored! Final straw was asking for the bill not once, twice but four times before we got it!! When we paid, we asked for the service to be removed, and then were told they were short staffed that day, and everyone was terribly apologetic. They did give a discount due to the poor experience, but it would have been good practice to let us know the situation right away rather than ignoring us for ages! Will give them another try as the coffee is delicious, but they need to earn my respect back!! read more

The coffee is good - though the staff seem to think it's (insert superlative). It's a bit clattery - all hard surfaces - and the decor is... I'd personally call it "trying a bit hard", though for the area - if you need to have a London Bridge meeting on your way into work, say, it's much better than most of the options in the area that are easy and also chainy. I'm honestly confused by the ordering system - the established ordering method in a coffeeshop is the counter, but here you've got to sit down and have table service and it feels... a bit stuffy to be honest. read more

I don't really see what the hype is all about. London Grind got a pretty good location right at the London bridge and is convenient to visit after a stroll over borough market. Kept in modern urban style with only a little decoration it surely is charming. I decided to sit at the bar and in order to have a good view on the busy service preparing fresh drinks and fancy cocktails. London Grind is definitely a location for coffee cocktails and other unique drinks. The food is average (burgers & co). All in all it is a nice place, but not that special. read more

We went here for a friend's birthday a week or two ago and I have to say, I'm not overly impressed by the service. The food itself was delicious - the caponata was absolutely divine, but sadly the staff brought down the experience a little. We were a big group of 10, and had a table booked from 6.30 onwards. By 6.30 four of us had arrived and were waiting for the other six who were coming in from further out and at 6.34 we had the manager come up to us to ask us if we were still wanting our table (which we were sat at) because 'if we didn't want it, there are plenty of other people who do', which I thought was incredibly rude. The one good thing I have to say about the service was that the waitress were accommodating in terms of finding a candle and a muffin for the birthday girl as we'd forgotten to prepare our own. I appreciated that and am grateful to that member of staff. The staff were mostly attentive throughout the night after the party arrived (two minutes after the manager's impertinent comment), graciously plying us with alcohol. The other thing that slightly annoyed me was when the bill was asked for, the waitress (different to the one who helped with the birthday muffin) came back without the bill to ask if we would like some tequila shots since it was my friend's birthday. In my personal opinion, I thought this was quite cheeky as she was ambiguously implying that she was offering free shots which wasn't the case at all. The waitress had gone away to get the bill and had basically come back without it to see if she could add anything more on. The bill was already a rather large sum as we were a large group of ten and had already had a large amount of food and cocktails so I did not appreciate feeling like they were trying to press more money out of us.
