I was with my best friend, and we originally asked the cabbie to take us to The Regency Café. Alas, the Regency was closed that particular day, so we asked the cabbie where all the other cabbies liked to eat breakfast. He drove us straight here and we now have a solid second spot for English Breakfast! The interior has a classic diner feel to it, and there were a few other diners in there besides us. Ordering was a breeze, the staff was very friendly and efficient, and the food came out fairly quickly. DELISH! We absolutely got our fill here. Coming to England all I wanted was a Full English Breakfast and let me tell you: this was the best breakfast ever!! I ordered a Latte and full English breakfast and it truly was cheap, fast, and fantastic. You walk into the small shop and see a variety of delicious looking pastries and ingredients. The ladies working were kind and helpful. My only gripe is that we had to leave for Scotland could not go back for lunch! My boyfriend got a bacon, egg, and mayo sandwich that he loved and we got a smoked salmon and cream cheese panini to go. This is a must go place! read more

Oh, how I loved Le Signore! It was next door to our hotel (Resident Victoria,) and we ate breakfast there every morning. It's the kind of place where they treat you like a regular after one visit - my favorite. Our breakfast panini was incredible, and the espresso was the best I've ever tasted. Tina, one of the owners, was so kind, and I loved getting to visit with her. Our panini and pastry were so good we never tried anything else, but all the food looked delicious. We've been home three days, and every morning I miss this wonderful place - we will definitely be back if we ever get a chance to visit London again! read more

This place is a cozy little hole in the wall restaurant/bakery. All the sandwiches are made hot to order, nothing prepare and reheated. The soup of the day changes. I ordered it and it was spinach, Parmesan and egg. Very interesting but good. The pressed paninis were pretty basic, nothing crazy but it's fresh ingredients. Price point is good too. read more

Small, cosy place! It's near Buckingham palace and is nice and cheap. We got two hot sandwiches (made to order) and lattes. They have the full English breakfast too. If you load your sandwich it can be nice and hearty. The latte was good (don't expect a fancy design). The place isn't fancy and the seating area is clean enough. I believe it's Tina who prepares the food. She has her regulars who have an open conversation with her from their tables. If you're hungry and need a cheap place to eat this is the place! read more

Everyone in the office loves this place, and I'm sure they have good reason. However, the one and only time I went there, my roll was rock hard. Literally. I threw it on the counter and it made a hollow thud. One of the staff are friendly, and one not so much. But the prices are good, and if you go there and get something you like, that's excellent! But if you get a rock hard roll, don't say I didn't warn you. Also - they load up on the butter, so if that's not to your taste ask them not to put too much on. This is a great little hole in the wall right around the corner from Buckingham Palace. We stayed at the Nadler Hotel, just a few doors down and walked by it a couple of times before going in. We wished we had gone in earlier. It was early and we were looking for breakfast. They had a full selection of coffee drinks, teas and such, panini, full English , pastries and every combination you can think of. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food tasted great and was quite reasonably priced. The tables are small, really ok for two. A couple of tables on the sidewalk. This is the type of place to go when you want good hearty food prepared well and don't care about ambiance. We met a local police officer who frequently eats here. He was so nice and chatted with us, that alone is a great recommendation. read more

I can completely agree with her statement, and it's my new favorite place to get coffee, a muffin, or even some eggs and toast! This place is a small hole in the wall located near the Royal Mews and 3 minute walk to the Buckingham Palace. The ladies that work in here never slow down a bit! The place itself gets heavily busy at around 8-9 and again around lunch time. Order an iced coffee - so good!!! (It won't literally be over a bunch of ice). My other favorite is her tomato and mozzarella panini; it's pretty much perfection. Oh, and one more, her FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN croissants! Would that I could tell you that this little haven of decency and good food were not worth a spit but that would be churlish of me and only ensure that I get one of the savagely sought after tables at my pleasure. Tina, our resident flirtatious stand-up , welcomes you with a caustic and scathing wit worthy of her Puglian roots. But make an order and the joking stops. You will be served up an epicurean delight that puts Jamie Oliver's Italianesque cooking right back in the Essex box it should never have crawled out of. You may enter thinking Oh today I'll have a little omelette with a side salad - watching the waist line don't you know but you won't have counted on our Tina having cooked one of her special specials. today we have spare ribs with passata and spaghetti You make to protest but find the words stick in your craw. Ah go on then The Puglian minx has tempted you in again and you find yourself chomping on a pork rib with tomato sauce dribbling down your chin. There is something of the nursery in the atmosphere, Sigmund would have a field day here. However, when all is said and done and the angels ask me to recall the thrill of it all I'll tell them the thing I remember most about Le Signore is the incredible food. My favorie lunchtime sandwich shop plenty of homemade meals options for your sandwich. They serve amazing focaccia bread with olives. My favorite order is focaccia with pork and spinach, with pesto sauce. read more

Second to none! I found this place by happy chance a couple of years ago and I'm so glad I did. For a start, the food is wonderful - their lasagne is head and shoulders above any I've ever tasted anywhere - and I'm very fond of lasagne. Their meat balls must be experienced to be believed. There is a fantastic variety of delicious food on offer, especially considering how small their premises. My wife is vegetarian and has nothing but praise for the various veggie delicacies she has tried there. Amongst the staggering selection of sweets, is a Portuguese wonder called pastel de nate (I probably spelled that wrong) to which I have become addicted. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere excellent. I have come away from there before now with my sides aching from laughter at the banter of the cabbies who frequent the place. I am only sorry I live sixty miles away and can't visit more often. Give yourself a treat and go there without delay. It won't even cost you much - their prices are spectacularly reasonable and the portions generous. I would give it six stars if I could. read more
