We stayed here for 4 days while in Venice. The room sleeps 4 people comfortably. The decor was a mix of elegance and antique. Our room had two windows that you can open and people watch from or just to leave it open for fresh air to come in at night while you sleep. They also serve daily continental breakfast which was pretty delicious. The staff here are really nice and friendly. The Antico Doge was a real find.

The room had a private bathroom with a bidet (can't say how it worked, but if it's important to you, it's there) and a nice shower, and they provided a 2-in-1 shampoo/shower gel, and ample towels. The breakfast had good coffee (cappuccino, hot chocolate, pretty much anything you wanted, they could make), with a limited amount of mostly sweet pastries and fruit. I'd stay again, if I returned to Venice, as its location was near both the water bus station, a private taxi mooring, and several restaurants.

We are young…read moretravelers without a huge budget, and we were thrilled to find this charming place for a decent price. It's located in a tiny alleyway that might look a bit fishy, but don't let that deceive you! The people working there were all super friendly, they helped us in any way they could (from a broken zipper to finding where we needed to go). We even got a better room (free upgrade) for one night because it wasn't booked anyway that night, which was great. Breakfast was the same every day but there was enough variety in it, and the little rooftop terrace is super cozy for late night wine drinking :). We shared a bathroom with 1 other person, but we did find that our bathroom was often occupied by guests from one floor below us? Those rooms all have their own bathrooms, but we occasionally had to wait half an hour to pee because some dude with his own private bathroom was occupying our shower. So if there is one tip I can give Locanda Antica, it's to maybe use a separate lock for the shared bathrooms and only give that key or that code to the people who actually sleep in the corresponding rooms. Apart from that: 10/10, would totally recommend for a real homey, authentic and comfortable experience, very close to everything worth seeing in Venice! Thanks so much!

Secondly, it was close to Piazzale Roma (where buses from the airport arrive) and Santa Lucia train station. On those measures alone, it met all our needs... but this place offers so much more. Firstly, it's on a quiet side street so although you're in a very touristy city it feels like you're off the beaten track, despite being incredibly convenient. Secondly, the breakfast! Every morning we got a wonderful breakfast, and they have an outdoor terrace you can sit on to enjoy it, overlooking lush greenery and enjoying the calm - it's a perfect way to start the day. But the biggest surprise we got here was our room. There are no elevators, so we went up the stairs to the top floor where our room was. We opened the door and found another flight of stairs... and then we were blown away - our room was basically the entire top floor of the building with a private bathroom, a small kitchen, a living area and a double bedroom - plus a large outdoor balcony which overlooked gardens. It was absolutely idyllic. The decor wasn't exactly modern but everything was spotlessly clean and in impeccable condition. It's worth noting that the hotel isn't staffed 24/7 - but they give you a key to the garden gate and the building front door so you can come and go as you please.
