Every time I visit the vet we are greeted by Karen & are quickly put in the exam room with Dr. Shelton. They are top notch from giving my pets vaccinations, to diagnosing an abscess lump on my German Shepherd, finding allergy relief for our pug & even meeting me on a Sunday night when they are CLOSED to help send my 16yr old chihuahua mix over the rainbow bridge. Not only is Dr. Shelton a wonderful veterinarian but the prices are VERY FAIR & AFFORDABLE!! I worked for a "city vet"for many years and even with an employee discount I walked away paying higher prices! I am very thankful for this animal hospital!!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!

The vets couldn't be bothered about offering their own diagnosis and went along with the clinic who said we should put our dog down due to a "mass" in the anal area. No biopsy, no office visit! They did however offer to make an appointment to put our precious baby down. We made an appointment with another vet in Aubrey who offered excellent service, aggressive medication treatment and a piece of mind that we didn't have to put our dog to sleep. How disappointing to trust the professionals and be mislead and treated so shabbily. Needless to say we will never step foot in this place again and have found a more caring facility. Shame on them for not caring enough!

If you can't see value in taking care of your animal-don't take it to the vet. lol! Literally-Dr. Wallace has so much compassion for animals and the owners trying to take care of them. I live in Celina so it's quite a ways for me to drive to Denton but our regular vet had quoted us $1k-$1.2k for a dental cleaning for my 12 yr old cat. They said he had some tartar build up on his back molars and a bit of gingivitis in his gums and it will get worse if we don't get a cleaning done. Our pet insurance does not cover dental cleanings so it would be out of pocket. I was recommended Guardian pet Hospital from a cat rescue group on Facebook. When I called the receptionist was very friendly and quoted me $300. A phenomenal price considering what our vet was charging us. My cat went to get a pre screening done and everything was good to go! He got his cleaning done shortly after, appointment times weren't an issue and he did so well under anesthesia. The staff is very helpful and very kind and the price came out being even a little less than what they originally quoted me! I highly recommend coming here not just for the reasonable prices but also for the great experience and friendly staff. I am highly considering transferring all our pets to Guardian pet hospital even if it's a longer drive for us!

AVOID GUARDIAN PET HOSPITAL!!! I boarded my diabetic dog with Guardian recently, and there is a…read moreSEVERE ANIMAL NEGLECT PROBLEM with this group. As my dog is diabetic (and has been for 2 years now), her feeding and insulin routine is of the utmost important to regulate her system. First, I was told they would accommodate her feeding/insulin schedule when I initially called, which is on a rolling 12-hour basis. However, when I was dropping her off, they then decided to tell me that they could not actually accommodate the times and it would be about a 8 hour cycle between feedings/insulin with a 16 hour gap. This destroys her medical routine, and leads to huge degradations in her energy and health. Then, the onsite staff were very rude to me about how to treat her. I have been following a 2 year routine now with my vet, but the staff told me their on-site vet knew better and they tried to change the medicine for her. What?!?! Finally, I included hand-crafted bags with measured food for each of my dog's meals. But after I picked her up, I noticed that they did not feed my dog during one of the meals as I had one of my bags returned to me!?! This means they completely skipped feeding her one morning/night which is first, entirely unacceptable, and second, extremely detrimental to her health and survival!! When I called and asked about it, and after being on hold for 20 minutes, I was given every excuse in the book (maybe we fed her food we have here (breaks her vet's prescription), or maybe you are delusional and you gave us too much food (it's not that hard to count 10 bags for 10 meals), "but yes we definitely fed her". Absolutely ridiculous, again, avoid these people at all costs!!

She sent us to oncologist for opinion. Unfortunately the cancer is to aggressive to do anything but steroids. These people are a great bunch of animal lovers. I know some people say they are high but in 2 years I have paid so much less than I expected and what other vets charge is so much higher. Dr. Darby is the best vet in Grayson County.

I suspect this is not privately owned, I could be wrong but it very much felt like that. Took my…read moredog in twice, the doctors were nice, no problem there. However, he was taken out of the room to somewhere else and I never saw the exam or how he was treated or how everyone interacted with him. Different. The first visit I met 5 different people and no one introduced themselves except for the doctor. Someone,?, an older lady, came in to give a shot and backed my dog into a corner and leaned over him without even talking to him first. Another tech ? Joined in to lean over him in the corner. Not cool. He's not a biter, but that would have been the time. Second visit, different tech? No name. Took him out of the room, ok. Came back and said a cleaning would be 800$-1000$. After the doctor came in, it dropped a few hundred. Took him to Dr. Mireles in Frisco, who we had seen before. The cleaning without the bloodwork was $391. The bloodwork was not mandatory. Super clean and new office. Take your pally there!
