I suspect this is not privately owned, I could be wrong but it very much felt like that. Took my dog in twice, the doctors were nice, no problem there. However, he was taken out of the room to somewhere else and I never saw the exam or how he was treated or how everyone interacted with him. Different. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first visit I met 5 different people and no one introduced themselves except for the doctor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Someone,?, an older lady, came in to give a shot and backed my dog into a corner and leaned over him without even talking to him first. Another tech ? Joined in to lean over him in the corner. Not cool. He's not a biter, but that would have been the time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Second visit, different tech? No name. Took him out of the room, ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came back and said a cleaning would be 800$-1000$. After the doctor came in, it dropped a few hundred. Took him to Dr. Mireles in Frisco, who we had seen before. The cleaning without the bloodwork was $391. The bloodwork was not mandatory. Super clean and new office. Take your pally there! read more

We have been going to this vet for almost 7 years. Our dog has allergies, and I called today 5-20-26 to see if I could bring her by for her Cytopoint injection today or tomorrow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were never told to make these appointments at least a month in advance if we want to get in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This shot takes maybe 5-10 minutes tops with a tech. and no doctor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was promptly told that there were absolutely no openings because they were booked solid and shorthanded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then I got told the first opening was June 5th. OK, I guess I will tell my dog not to have an allergy attack until then. Ever since they added on to the practice, I guess they think they have enough patients, and you can just wait if you need something. Do better. read more

I unfortunately had to put down one of my pups this week and even though I had to go alone, the staff and Dr. Tidwell made sure I felt loved and supported. They definitely made the visit as comforting as possible. I'm forever grateful for them! I had my dog cremated little over a week ago and I picked that one cremation when he get cremated and get a paw print. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then when I drop him off she said you get his ashes back in a paw print with an up to 2 weeks I call a few days ago. To see if he be ready 4 pick. They said no .we call u when he ready 2 be pick up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a phone call today say he's ready come and pick him up when I get there you know don't get me wrong it was a nice bang and nice box and everything then when I open the box it was just a paw print okay where is his asses I went back in there and told him exactly what happened and that lady did not tell me exactly what cremation I got apparently it's the one where I don't get his asses back but why when I call and said oh you can pick him up is that some ceramic thing with his paw print it's nice but that's not him him his ashes and that's something I'll never get back now and I think that is wrong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't get me wrong it probably excellent vets but that lady at the reception that she should have been more specific and detail about which cremation that I really get it's messed up on my part in her part they should teach them more better to be more specific on things.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. #RiverRat. We have used Dr Tidwell and Texoma Veterinary Clinic for over 30 years , through many dogs and their health needs. They have been a wonderful source of trust and comfort over the years! Currently we are nursing an ill 18 year old dachshund and with extra attention and medications from Dr Tidwell and staff our Emma is still hanging on a year later after a severe diagnosis and we are extremely grateful ! I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. The doctor and the staff at this clinic are amazing. I chose this place because I noticed that many police officers take their canines there. They are known for the exemplary care they give to their canines officers.. They have been so good to my dog, Shadow. They are friendly, flexible, and most of all genuinely good people. Great first visit for my 2 fur babies! I have a 4 year old Lab and a 12 year old boarder collie. We are new to town, and so happy we found Dr Lawrence. The exam was very thorough and he went over everything with me, in addition to excellent communication All the staff was very friendly and loving to my boys! They discuss all the options for medications /treatment and let you decide what's best for your pet! This veterinary hospital has the best staff I've ever encountered at a vet's office. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The veterinarians are even better, if possible. They take care to handle your animals properly; they appear to treat your pet the way they would treat their own. We've had a couple of emergencies with our dog and have visited with every veterinarian there. We don't have a favorite because they're all so wonderful. They all speak in plain terms ensuring that you understand what tests they are doing and why, and what is expected of you for at-home care after the appointment. They've won us over and we will keep using them as long as we live in the area. I think my favorite "little thing" that they do is a tie between their online system and their reminder cards. The online system allows you to schedule appointments online at your convenience, schedule medication refills, etc. It makes it easy on us because we work odd hours and cannot always call during business hours. The reminder cards are full-color photos of your pets with pertinent information on the backside reminding you of upcoming appointments, booster shots, etc. It's a personalized touch that shows that they pay attention to detail. read more

AAHA certified, great knoweldgable doctors and super friendly staff. Prices are pretty consistant, and I would know since I worked at two other veterinary hospitals before leaving the field. They have high tech computer systems, making the whole process easier on everyone. Not sure about other equipment they have, I know they have an endoscope but not sure if they have an ultrasound machine. They will be my trusted vet as long as I live in Sherman. Plus, the more and more people I talk to in the area, the more I find out share the same feelings about this vet hospital as I do. Thanks for everything you do, to the entire staff! read more

Dr. Tidwell at Texoma Veterinary Clinic in Sherman brings old-fashioned caring into his up-to-date clinic. When our 12 year old lab became seriously ill, he worked with us to get her well, running tests to diagnose her condition. We had to be worked in to his busy schedule. This is the greatest bunch of Docs, Techs and Front Desk Folks you will ever find!! They are caring, extremely knowledgeable and have the latest and greatest equipment. They also always know the latest info out there for the care of your pet. We have been with them for a long time -with all of our "hairy" children and have never once regretted being with them. They understand your love for your animal. We have had a few pets through the years that have had difficult problems but they have always been there and have always taken the best care of them. I wish I could give this vet more than 5 stars. My shih tzu choked on a raw hide this Christmas eve while we were in Sherman visiting relatives, and we drove frantically to Texoma Vet Hospital, as it is the vet my in-laws use. Thankfully the vet was open, even on Christmas eve. They immediately assessed the situation, and rushed my dog in, even though my dog had never been to their clinic before. Withing 15 minutes, Dr Tidwell had my baby in x-rays, and was prepping to do surgery. They were able to remove the lodged rawhide piece endoscopically, after working for an hour. Mind you, this is the only vet between OK City and Dallas that has the capacity to do Endoscopic Surgeries. Anyone else would have had to cut my dog open to get the rawhide out. Four very tense hours later, we had our dog back home and in good health. I am convinced that Texoma Vet Hospital and Dr Tidwell were our Guardian Angels that day. I cannot recommend them enough. They went above and beyond. I live in McKinney and we are considering making this our full time vet. I would trust them with my dogs any day of the week. Thank you Dr Tidwell!! read more
