You can pet and feed a lot of different animals at this zoo. 2. A lot of variety 3. Workers are nice and their animal presentation is very good. Cons: 1. Expensive. Not worth the normal entry fee of around 27 dollars per person. 2. Costs 20 dollars to hold a koala for 30 seconds just enough for a picture (not worth it) 3. Park is pretty small compared to other zoos i've been to for a cheaper admission price. 4. They make it seem like the park is really close to the train station but it isn't. You have to take a taxi unless you want to walk 2.5km on a hilly road with no sidewalks. Overall, I had fun and the experience of holding a koala was nice. I also loved feeding the kangaroos. Without the groupon, I don't think the experience would be worth it. 20 dollars to take a picture with a Koala is quite expensive. I understand that they are privately funded and rely heavily on admissions however so the prices are understandable.

Still, I've always liked the Sealife Aquariumns - you can be pretty much assured of what you are going to get, and of course they always do their best to tailor their aquariums to the local regions. There is plenty of parking, which is free. I like how the conservative shows follow the path of the map. It goes through from the front to the end and leaves Crocomuseum at 13:15, which is when the show starts. I highly recommend seeing this show. Normally you see crocodiles sitting still like statues in their little pools at the zoo, but the show allows you to see them in action. Also, I saw Terri, Bindi, and Chandler! They were missing Robert that day. They really be making money off a dead guy though. I noticed after every talk, they mention Steve's mission and passion and something about the bracelets and donations. They only house seven crocodiles at this zoo. The wildlife hospital was a dud.

The show was a little dry for my 2 year old but we enjoyed watching and learning about the crocs. The splash pad was a hit. The picture was quite quick, and quite costly, but if you're like my family and I who love Koalas, it was worth it. The koala menu and pantry were such a cute addition to the koala area. Because of the rain, it was hard to explore the whole park even when wearing a poncho. You also had to pay to enter the park, despite booking the experience. We heard it's free later in the afternoon though (not sure if that's accurate but what we were told!).

Now I know there are petting zoos in the USA but those are for farm animals. Here you can pet the Koalas. I'll say that again- pet the Koalas! You can't do that in Sydney. The kangaroo station has them hopping around in the open for you to pet and Feed! If that's not enough the wallaby encounter allows you to pet the emu. No you cannot pet the wallabies. You can however feed the lorikeets(green bird) at your own peril. There are other animals here to see that doesn't exist in North America Zoos so don't miss it.

Unfortunately that's as positive as I can be. The park enclosures are small and the animals look sedated. We paid for some kangaroo food however not a single kangaroo was interested. The "rest area" for the animals was surrounded by tourists so no wonder the animals were exhausted, being prodded and poked all day with no escape. The park was overrun by Asian tourists who have no ability to be polite, my 3 year old son was regularly pushed aside to allow them to take a selfie of them tugging on a kangaroo ear. Where were the staff keeping an eye on the welfare of the animals, almost nonexistent. Overall the park was poorly managed and unsupervised. I got the impression it was aiming to cram as many Asian tourists into the park as possible with little regard for the welfare of the animals or the general enjoyment of other visitors. I'm just glad I didn't pay to enter due to my pass.

This place is part of the theme parks which I didn't know or I would never have gone. It was a small tiny area and the kangaroos seemed drugged. They wouldn't eat and we're all laying down in dirt. The area was SO small as an animal lover I just felt so sad looking at them and left the park feeling depressed. The show was cute but boat loads of people from tour buses blocked our view so we couldn't even see and had to leave also the whole show was translated which made it twice as long with no benefit to me. They should have had two different shows in each language.

It has inherited a conservation function, and some of their animals are rescues that can't survive in the wild or breeding populations. The park isn't all that large, and just wandering around it you'd be done pretty quickly, but they do a daily series of shows, covering a variety of different animals. Their birds of prey (and owls) are quite impressive and will whiz right by you, while their wallabies will cutely prance about. There is an enclosure where you can walk up close to the wallabies and an emu. Seekers of the best known animals will find there is a feeding for the "small" salt water crocodiles and some koalas hanging out in trees (though you can't get close to them). Personally, I was most fascinated by the cassowaries, large, flightless birds with a sort of fur instead of feathers. The shows are enough to keep a group of tourists or kids entertained for most of the day, and the handlers seemed to know what they were doing. The park itself, though, will be the first to admit that it's only an introduction, and the best way to see the wildlife is ultimately to track it down in the wild. They do point that out, while giving the occasional tip to protect travelers from the ever-dangerous creatures (and them from us). At the park here, there is a considerable boardwalk through the wetlands, and you can walk by the creek down to the ocean (all of this is outside of the paid area and it was news to me). The park itself might be worth visiting once, but what's beyond it is what you should come back for again and again.
