This is based off my first visit while getting set up for school. Driving in the location is beautiful surrounded by trees. Unfortunately it seems there is an airport near by so it's a little loud. The check in process wasn't awful at the admission office just wish they would have let me know where to go to see the VA advisor it was a little confusing. I've been going to school for like 12 years I've got to say it's all right and fun because they give a lot of really giveaways and activities and free food but the sad part is the cafeteria section on Abbys café they don't serve good lunch only like pastries and snacks they should open up the cafeteria and serve better food such as chicken wraps and make potatoes and pasta the only have cheeseburgers and pizza and hotdogs which is no fun read more

I really enjoyed LSC-NH. I'm giving it 4 stars because it's missing that specific feel They're Cy-Fair counter part gives. It's a feeling of actually being in a university. But at the same time NH is non traditional community college. But that's also a great thing! They offer classes for various blue collar industries in addition to your traditional CORE curriculum courses every university requires. read more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. Like the VA they do the least amount of work possible to make sure your life is really difficult. Need help? You have a better chance of getting the brick wall to help you. Need to get ahold of them? Maybe in your next lifetime, because what is clear and evident is that they DO NOT care about veterans or their family. They act like doing the JOB THAT THEY READ THE REQUIREMENTS FOR BEFORE APPLYING & ACCEPTING is going to kill them. Like chicken pecking some sentences is just AWFUL. GET A GRIP OR QUIT! I have seriously never encountered with such irresponsible & unprofessional people in my life & I have worked as a nanny with infants. Trust me when I say your infant child could do their job better. They seriously NEVER know the answer to anything. THE ADVISORS ARE THERE TO ADVISE YOU & they claim they should be your "last resort" when you ask questions they wash their hands & say you need to call VA, but when you do they tell you to speak to the school. Don't waste your time. It'll take a toll on your mental health. They will treat you rudely. read more

What a nice campus! I have been taking CLEP exams there and the experience couldn't have been more pleasant. If you need to take an external exams for credit, I would highly recommend taking them here. The staff is very friendly and you can usually get an exam appointment with out any issue, Monday though Thursday. read more

If you want to study for architecture or engineering, construction or digital , this is definitely not the place to go. It's a separate department from the school therefore everything has to be done through a woman called Sheryl, she was no help at all, she has a good attitude but it id a false one, the first semester i signed up for classes with her since she is the advisor for the department, she informed me all I had to do was go pay so I did, 3 days later when classes started I was told I was dropped out of the classes which made no sense they sent me over to the people who handle the money & I was told they dropped me out of it because I had not made a payment on time yet they had my 500 dollars in the system, I'm not positive what she did when she signed me up or if she dropped me out or if simply the system of the school is completely screwed up, we had to fight for me to get in the classes again & they did not want to place me in them until we demanded a refund (which they didn't want to give us either), make sure if paying out of pocket to pay with a CREDIT CARD not a debit card for situations like this, anyways they ended up placing me back in the classes, one was messed up & ended up having to go in the afternoon because once again Shirley had misinformed me. this semester when it was time to sign up for classes again i was told i could only do one class basically, i like in person classes & She told me they had one available & signed me up for it now apparently they were coming up with a new class, which is y I could only do one class, which makes no sense, why offer a class or speak on a class that's not even finished yet, and not in the system ??? That's absurd, I'm here to study not wait a eternity for y'all to get it together, she then proceeded to tell me to email her to see if the class is available in 2 weeks, this was in early November, I went to see her again in the middle of November to see if the class was ready she informed me it was not & that apparently I was in the wrong class that all she had for that one class I had to take was online or hybrid ?¿, again she sounded absurd so she removed me from the class I did want and placed me in another class, at this point I'm wondering if she is racist or had preferences in students, she then told me to email her again to see if the class would be ready in another 2 weeks, my father and I emailed the lady multiple times & she did not reply when we asked the department if anyone else was available to help other then Shirley, they told us no, this was a terrible experience, I will now be studying at San Jacinto, much better service and they actually care about my success unlike here where they pretend to care but don't have the best interests at heart read more

Not a good campus. My little car was keyed or nicked by doors 4 times this semester. Bad area. Ghetto peoples come to school in their booty clothes or saggy pants with butts showing. It takes 15 minutes to walk to class from the crappy parking lots. NEED PARKING GARAGES. They spent very much money fixing up the teacher parking lots that remain empty most of time and building more parking lots farther and farther away from the college and planting trees. Is terrible! In summer the heat kills you walking to class. In winter fall and spring you get rain poured on your head. No easy way to get from far away parking lots without walking through ditches, dodging traffic, heat, rain, more traffice. Bad sidewalk system. What is the point of digging deep ditches that completely surround the student parking lots so that it is necessary to become caked in mud to get to class?? Pluses: Many spanish speaking staff to assist me. YMCA on campus is very good with spanish speaking staff their also. Financial aid is good and very much help for families. My husband goes here also we recieve much support. Womens center is also good but they make you sign in with school badge to even come in and sit for five minutes and then the computer does not work quickly so by the time you are done signing in it is time to go............... I like the Tomball campus very much better. More laid back. Less crime. Parking is great. read more

Tried to apply to NDT/Inspector school. I had to work with the VA school representative there, and my experiences there and at the actual school, including admissions. They would refuse to answer my questions over the phone, and made me drive, on more than one occasion (after being on hold numerous times for over 45 minutes) just to wait in a waiting area for over 2 hours. After finally speaking with the advisor he told me that I would have to go back to the VA rep and would not help me unless they specifically sent me over there. I had simple, easy questions that needed to be answered before I was sure on what classes I needed. Terrible experiences, VETERANS BEWARE. read more

Please choose another school. LSC does not care about students or their educational goals. I have lost my student aid eligibility due to LSC. This is not a joke. I dropped classes in my LSC student portal prior to the first day of class. LSC did not advise me the classes were not dropped. To the contrary, my LSC portal confirmed all was taken care of. I even called LSC prior to the first day of class and was told I had "noting to worry about". That said, LSC was full of crap, their IT department is archaic, student advising is misinformed and US Dept of Education has cancelled my eligibility due to the classes I dropped, now showing as WITHDRAWN. Of course, I appealed this 'W' status with LSC immediately and they removed one class but are still confused about removing the additional class, still showing withdrawn. LSC is a horribly unorganized excuse for an educational establishment. GO TO HCC! read more

This school is very in expensive! The professors are really great! The parking isn't as bad as other places.

After completing a 4 year bachelor's degree, I decided to return to school for some further, specialized education. After previously attending such a large and expensive University, I was amazed at the unlikely opportunities presented by such an inexpensive and humble campus. Through this program, I was fortunate enough to secure a position as an intern at a hugely known company, and gain amazing experience and insight into the marketing field. I have, however, given this school a 4 star review as some of the professors (but not all) were not up to par with my expectations as some of their teaching methods were unfair and lackluster. I would recommend this school to anyone in need of a cheap and quick means of beginning a new career. However, I say this with a warning as you get what you pay for. Try to make the best out of what you are presented and form study groups. read more
