Not air conditioned as it was also old and struggling to keep up; the bathroom very hot and I was unable to position the shower head so you were stuck against the wall trying to get the water. TV is left on; The outdoor swing was the only highlight.

Bring your water craft and spend more time playing on the lake and all you need at the end of the day is a place to crash with a roof over your head... It is a vacation home that is turned into a bed and breakfast so its really more like staying in someone's home. I loved the intimacy and the fact that means its not crowded - Britain and staff are very friendly and it feels more like you're staying with family. The other side of that is that little details may be overlooked - the comforter, curtains, and carpet are a bit worn, haven't been updated in awhile, and that sort of thing. But I'm good with it as long as its clean and I felt it was. We took a cooking class with the chef - seafood. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. We cooked 5 full size dishes -- chef was very organized and personable. The dishes were some of the best food I've had ever, no restaurant I've been to can compare. We cooked crab cakes, lobster risotto, scallops, shrimp scampi, and blackened red snapper. Worth every penny - take the cooking class! Breakfast and dinner prepared by the chef was also phenomenal! Nothing was a disappointment - literally some of the best food I've ever had. The Migas for breakfast was my favorite, but the croissant french toast and biscuits and gravy were also very good. The only thing I didn't like was that if you aren't out right at 9am to eat breakfast, your food will be cold, no way to really keep it warm really. Not a huge deal in my book - its like Mom cooking you breakfast, its ready when its ready. The grounds of Circle H Lodge are beautiful to say the least and the house is a wonder. Nearby to do: Longhorn caverns, obviously inks lake swimming in the summer, marble falls shopping, Inks Lake State Park hiking/swimming.

At PAINTED BUNTING sat not 10 feet from me. Herons, swallows, a crested caracara, swallows, gnat catchers, so many new ones to add to my life list. Mariah is the perfect hostess. The hike and run around the property then coming back to Mariah's home-cooked meals. Mariah was a great host and cook! Every food served were homemade with care and delish! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants some 2-3 day peace and tranquility. A weekend getaway or recharge from the stressful busy-ness of everyday life. I couldn't thank her enough for everything she did. I highly recommend checking out these Caves, and if you have the gumption to get muddy, spring for the Wild Cave Tour. Caves are so interesting and there is so much to learn about them . Longhorn Cavern offer 3 different tour options. The cavern walking tour is just like a casual walking tour. The black light tour is where you wear hard hats and walk with a light. The Wild Cave tour is for the extreme explorers who are okay with tight spaces . I chose the cavern walking tour. I highly recommend shoes that have a tight grip. The gift shop has really good options for keepsakes. Also, if you get thirst drinks are available to purchase. I saw a section for pizza, but it was sold out. I had amazing time during my visit. The cave is beautiful and there is so much to see.
