Less than two years after installation, lines begin to form in the turf. I called synlawn and told him about the problem and they promptly set someone to inspect and photograph. In a short time they informed me that they were going to install a whole new turf. Well they did and the turf looks new again. I am glad I chose Synlawn to install their turf. His crew showed up early and worked hard all day. 1-when they started I told them my stamped concrete driveway could get damaged and they should stay off the driveway. Instead, A tractor ran back and forth, grinding sand, and taking off finish. 2- Then the rain came. The infill sand washed out all over the driveway. They used a non- permeable base under the turf. Crushed granite should have been used but we were never given the option to pay more for the correct material for out soil and drainage. 3- The mature oak. The turf was installed all the way to the tree trunk rather than cutting in a tree well. I wasnt given an option. Because the 4" road base wont allow water or oxygen into the soil, the tree will die. 4- flooding. The water sails off the turf like a waterslide and has nowhere to go except towards the house. 5- the seam is visible with a human on one side. Colton says to just keep an eye on it!! Yep, Im still watching the water overflow and not absorbing into the soil underneath. I might as well have paved it with concrete. Colton said he would remove it at my expense. Don't be fooled by his big smile.

We hired Firehouse for a huge project of building a stone retaining wall, then back-filling inside…read morethe wall to bring our hillside lot much closer to level, then installing a BOB privacy fence mounted in the stone, and a custom-designed and fabricated sliding driveway gate, at our home in Hillcrest Shores. Their design and workmanship is excellent, they use top shelf materials, and, thanks in part, I'm sure, to getting on their calendar early in the season, the work was completed in a very timely manner, with no appreciable delays caused by anything but the weather. We got three estimates for the project, and for the first time in our lives, gave the job to the HIGHEST bidder. That is because, in addition to admiring their work elsewhere around Rockwall, owner Zach Simons is the sole point of contact for the estimate process on the entire project. His competitors were like, "Yeah, we can estimate the wood today, then we'll send a stone guy next week, and a gate-design guy the week after that." (Slight exaggeration there.) We were much more comfortable working with a single source for the whole project. Yes, Firehouse charges a premium, but we got what we paid for. Highly recommended.

We had 5 companies come out for bids and after looking at all of their work and reading reviews, we decided to go with Firehouse Fence. Zach was prompt to our first appt and was understanding and flexible on the unknown timeline for installation because of the pool and construction. Once we finally got the okay to proceed with our fence, Zach had us on the schedule within the week. We went with board on board with two 4 & 1/2ft wide gates and a fence surrounding our pool equipment. His guys were efficient, courteous & professional and our fence is beautiful! Highly recommend!
