I wanted to scratch my snack desire itch and wanted savory after the sugary holiday, so I opted for popcorn. I had discovered Lonestar popcorn while driving to Grapevine Mills and stopped after my shopping. The young ginger guy at the counter was very pleasant and attentive. He let me try a couple samples to narrow down my selection. I got kettle, showtime butter, jalapeno cheese, and parmesan garlic, which was a new mild flavor to my repertoire and delicious. All were very fresh and had a good quality of seasoning flavoring. None were overly oily which I do not like. The only con to me was that they had a sign on the window saying taffy town, but the taffy display was nearly bare and in my opinion both should have been removed if that empty. I hate to be the bearer or bad news, but this was terrible. I allowed my kids to fall prey to the confetti popcorn. I know, I know, what did I expect?? It even looks old and gross! It was far more disgusting than I imagined. It may have been a mix of assorted fruit flavors but the only thing I tasted was chemicals. Even my fat foodie 1 year old turned her cheek on a second piece. I think it's fair to assume this popcorn had been sitting there behind that glass for quite some time. Also, my GOODNESS the price! It was a few pennies short of $6 for the smallest bag. The only reason I'm not one-starring this place was the mostly friendly guy at the counter who gave us extra paper popcorn bags for free even though the sign says they charge $0.05 each (lame). If you've never tried it, google a few recipes for caramel or kettle corn. It's not hard and it's not expensive. Skip this joint! read more

This is my go-to local popcorn shop, and I'm a fan! Lonestar Popcorn has plenty of flavors: both savory as well as sweet. They let you sample up to 5 different flavors, so you can try before you buy anything. I havent tried the sweet flavors, but am a big fan of their ranch and parmesan garlic. Their bacon cheese flavor is good also, and even includes bacon bits! I'm kind of surprised by all of the negative reviews. While I've yet to meet anyone in their who is overly effusive or sunny in disposition, I've never felt like I received bad service or that anyone was rude. One star deduction because it can be a bit slow, but the one time I was in a big hurry, I called on my way and put in my order over the phone and it was ready when I arrived. Been a loyal customer for a few years...Went to the grapevine location and purchased a medium showtime flavored bag of popcorn.. Got home and knew I wouldn't be finishing the bag at all because it was toooooo salty. I called to see if I could get another bag half price or something and couldn't but was told a solid no. Had to throw the bag away without eating anymore...sooo disappointed. read more

I ordered on DoorDash and was excited to go in this time to see all they had to offer ! The service is HORRIBLE! I ended up buying only one bag because I was so turned off by the guy working there !! Just go to the one in flower mound. They don't sell mini bags so you spend a lot of money when you only want a little bit of popcorn. Oh, and it's December, and they are still selling Halloween bags. Although I love the popcorn, the service is horrible. There is a girl there that moves so slow, takes your order so slow and even talks real slow. It took is almost 15 minutes to get our popcorn after we paid for it. We only had one family in front of us and even they told us how slow she was. Like I said, I love the popcorn but they need better service there and hire better staff. Especially for a busy mall such as this one. read more

Amazing in every way! Clean, good popcorn and ver y polite workers! I love the dill pickle and if you think it sounds weird than try it before you judge it. It's amazing! 10/10 would recommend Lonestar Popcorn to anyone. read more
