Then I spot Garrett Popcorn, a small but inviting store front, with a simple display filled with ready to scoop popcorn. I'm intrigued. I did not realize then that this is a popular Chicago chain then. The lady immediately offered me samples in a cute little baggie. Honestly, that's what sold it for me. She gave me enough that I possibly would have been satisfied, but I also felt like I wanted to go back and give her a little bit of business because of that generous sample. The small size buttery popcorn is ~$3.50. I thought that was a bargain for airport food, much cheaper than any snack bag I can buy from a Hudson news. They also have cheese, caramel, Garret mix of caramel and cheese, and others. I was very happy with the buttery popcorn with is butter-infused, fully coated all yellow popcorn. What a guilty pleasure. Instead of giving me the popcorn in an open bag, they put the popcorn into an outer resealable bag with napkins already inside. I love this little touch of service! I picked up a bag from them while at the Farmers Market in Glade Parks, so I'm not complaining too much about the lost expense. Their popcorn had a great taste, but it was way too salty, a couple of bites, then in the trash, it went. With reading the ingredients, it looks like they use a buttermilk powder and cheddar cheese powder, that's salt on top of more salt. I would certainly suggest you sample before buying, it may save you a few dollars.
