Here, for $22 you get a bagel and cream cheese, with a sad one or two layers of institutionally packaged smoked fish that you could buy at Costco for 25 bucks a pound. I seem to be always willing to try this place for its convenient location and cleanly appearance but it usually disappoints. The bagels are average. I wouldn't go here instead of our proud westchester bagel locations like bagel emporium or rye brook hot bagels. Onto the sandwiches. Positive first then negative. I had a turkey blt today. It was delicious. I'm sure that the turkey was cooked hot and fresh in store it didn't taste like cold cuts. Little light on the bacon but very good. Little pasta salad container, also was good. Pickle was not my favorite. Not sure what kind it was. The flavor threw me a bit. My husband got the Buffalo Bill. The service was terribly slow as he picked it up and they obviously got confused while making it because there was no blue cheese dressing. For him it rendered the sandwich almost inedible until he caved and added ranch dressing that we had at home. Not what he wanted after a long and hard day. How do you mess up your own store-created sandwich "suggestions" as they're called. An ironic name maybe after all. We split a cheese danish and it was very very good. I love this place. I stop by for a toasted bagel and egg with butter and coffee every week with 3-4 friends--the price is fine, and I prefer going here rather than spending $20.00 in a diner. Whatever issues others may have, L.I.B. staff will correct them. I have no complaints for anything I have ordered or catered by them, and neither do my friends whom I meet with at L.I.B. once a week. The service was disappointing. She rushed me and she was not friendly. A woman was there before me and had already placed her order and was waiting. Long Island Bagel Cafe initially caught my attention because of its name - not only is this spot located in Westchester, but is Long Island known for their bagels? I realize we're a stone's throw away from NYC, but once you enter the burbs food quality can change (read: pizza). Anyway, I love a good bagel, and after checking out their website I noticed they have a large selection of items for both breakfast and lunch. Those things combined with it being a new business prompted me to check them out for lunch today. LIBC is located in one of the many strip malls on Central Park Ave in Scarsdale. I checked out their website before heading out and discovered there were multiple LIBCs on the Island with this one being the lone spot in Westchester. The website is organized well and has a section for online ordering, which I decided to utilize to avoid sensory overload and hesitation when I actually got there. There's a lot to choose from - of course bagels with a plethora of cream cheeses but also wraps, panini, salads, and baked goods. I decided to order the chicken Tuscany sandwich - in addition to the chicken the sandwich had mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, roasted red pepper, and red onion. Of course I was getting it on a bagel, choosing garlic. I also wanted to get some baked goods for later - the black and white was speaking to me as well as their homemade crumb cake. The wait time was only 10-20 minutes for my order so I headed out as soon as I submitted. The store itself is gorgeous - everything looked very clean with plenty of wide open spaces. There's a decent sized seating area as well as clear marks on where to stand to ensure social distancing. My order was ready when I got there so I was in and out in no time. The sandwich was very good; the bagel was soft and chewy with nice garlic flavor, while the fillings were fresh and worked well together. I'll admit I'm not the biggest bagel sandwich person (too heavy of a carb for me to act as sandwich bread, I'm more of a bagel and cc or butter person), but I thought this one was well crafted. I chose macaroni salad as a side which was pretty good, nothing amazing but a solid complement to the sandwich. I didn't love the black and white, it was fine but I wanted the cookie itself to be a tad firmer and drier. The crumb cake was great, lots of crumb and good flavor. Service was good, I was acknowledged promptly upon entry and the staff adhered to contactless pickup. Overall, I'm glad LIBC opened - the bagels seem to be solid, and they have a wide variety of offerings. I'll be back to explore more. read more

Great way to start a lazy cold day with the paper and a Novalicious bagel from the LIBC. Definitely a 4.8 stars. Come on YELP let us star giving 1/2 or 1/4 stars at least! The Novalicious is lox and scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel with tomato, onion and cucumber slices served with a pickle and side salad for $10.99. The woman who made up our dishes to go was very courteous and she put together a great presentation in the "to go" containers. The bagel was fresh, lox -a- plenty (no skimping here!) scallion cream cheese was abundant as well as the pickle having the right snap. And least I not forget the salads! I had the potato which was delicious and my husband had the macaroni. They were both so good I couldn't pick a winner over the other. I also have to brag about the ice coffee. Not sure what they added to it because I can't put my finger on it but as ordered it was light and sweet and oh so yummy. Tables inside were social distant, hand sanitizer available when you first walked in. A few picnic style tables outdoors but too cold and dreary to eat outdoors today. A family favorite! The bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches with bagels are delish! Nice coffee selection. Good menu options for both breakfast and lunch. Beverages such as Snapples are wayyy marked up. Orders usually accurate. Personally the bagels are a bit "fluffy",if that makes sense, to me-- but guess what? They have "flagels" (aka flat bagels) too! A nice selection of breakfast and lunch options and great online ordering. Easy pickup with ample parking and a designated pickup area inside by the cash registers. (Bonus points for them because I truly despise when I order ahead and am STILL kept waiting at other places! Brook Street Bagels I'm looking at you!) Delivery is quick and usually they go to the correct delivery location (we don't use our front door-only the back door--SO MANY places don't read the delivery instructions online). I'm all about trying new bagel shops and I am so happy I came across this one! The store is quite large, and the amount of refrigerated items available is astounding. As I waited to be helped, I noticed they offer many bagel "accessories" if you will, including eggs, lox and cream cheese. They have a few counters, though I only ordered from the bagel counter, they do have a lot of prepared salads and foods behind another. Everything looked delicious! I ordered a dozen bagels. The flavor selection is great! I had never seen Egg Everything or Pumpernickel Everything before, so those were definitely coming home with me. (Tip: Slice your bagels in half before storing in freezer!) I will definitely be coming back here! read more

Delicious food and friendly staff! Was really craving a chopped salad, and saw this great spot so we decided to try, and amazingly they had a chopped salad station! Greens were very fresh, toppings options were delicious, and the salad menu gave clear instructions on how to order a custom freshly made salad. Prices were great too. Salad was excellent and the portion was large! I imagine the cafe is known for their fresh bagels, so will be trying that next time I visit! I really love this place. Bagels and schmear are excellent. I feel like any bagel spot you go to on a weekend morning tends to be hectic and the staff can sometimes come off as rude - even though they are just trying to be as efficient as possible. In my experiences here, the staff is efficient but also very nice. BTW, they have a breakfast burrito that is off-menu. 3rd time here, 3rd time they got the order wrong. First time asked for 12 bagels guy made a list with me, charged me for 12 got home 10 in the bag. Called and informed them of mistake was told to check my order next time. Really! The other 2 times were small like not toasting the bagel. I bought some of the OJ they've labeled with their own name. Cashier told me it was freshly squeezed. I'm 100% sure this OJ is store bought (has preservatives, etc). It's very bitter. Little effort to maintain cleanliness. Seating is self-service and tables are rarely (if ever) wiped down between customers. I don't ever see an employee assigned to buss and clean the area. Counter service is inconsistent. Some servers will fill your order correctly, others won't, even if they write down your sandwich order. Seems like the counter staff turns over a lot. Bagels are just OK, not much elasticity or chewiness to the dough, I'd rate them a 6 out of 10. I've only ordered egg sandwiches, so can't speak to the rest of the food. Prices are generally a bit on the higher end. You can get a decent egg sandwich here, but if you're looking for great bagels, there are other choices in lower Westchester. read more

This place has very good bagels and the staff are very nice. My grip with these guys, is that I'm here 3-5 days per week and they charge me more and more every time I'm here. Today for example, I was charged a full $1.80 more a sausage egg and cheese, .35 more for for a bagel with cream cheese, .10 more for a medium coffee and .16 more for a large coffee. Literally every single time I'm here they charge me something different. And it's not like they've changed the pricing since handing out menus. The menu in-store is the same as the takeout menu. It's frustrating, because while they're easily the best bagel in the area, they're expensive to begin with, not even factoring in the other random charges they decide to assign to your order. read more

Went here for the 2nd time on Sept 6th. At 8:15 a.m., went to try a bagel, you know, because it's a bagel cafe. Unfortunately for me, the bagel was not fresh. It was 100% leftover from day before. Have been looking for rainbow bagels in the area and they have them! Staff is super friendly (even in the early hours! I was there at 7). They have multiple versions of everything- regular, egg, pumpernickel and I'm probably missing another. Diabetic bagels, flats and again I'll mama ruin the rainbows! I didn't think the sandwich was worth 11 bucks, but when we were about to pay for our food we decided to order a french toast bagel. What's a girl have to do to get lox and cream cheese on a bagel around here!! I moved to this area from the city and I've been looking for a a bagel shop that has decent bagels and fresh lox. Much to my surprise a lot of places do not have it. The one place I found the bagel is not that great and they put just a little bit of lox and cream cheese. They clearly missed the art of this sandwich! I was walking for a change and found this deli!! I was so excited and they did not disappoint. The place is very clean and inviting. They have a nice assortment of bagels that are soft, a nice size and fresh. I don't usually toast my bagel so soft is important. Daniel and staff were so very welcoming and provided excellent service. I ordered a classic lox and cream cheese with all the fixings, a Jullien wrap and a turkey and cheese sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious!! My children are picky eaters and they loved the turkey and cheese and ate it all even the bread. All of the sandwiches were loaded and satisfying. I stopped in for the first time yesterday place was empty I ordered a hero 2 coffees and 3 bagels spent 30.00 which was more than all the people coming and leaving as I am being served combined. We get home one of the bagels was not made properly was misformed 1/4 inch thick and was not connected together so can not be cut. I don't understand how you make someone pay for a mistake you made especially when your store is empty this is your main business so either throw it away or give it free to the next person who orders bagels but why screw a customer? Bad business practices are used in this store they had a whole story of their LIBC chain hope the other stores are better managed. read more
