The park has two handball courts, eight pickleball courts, and three tennis courts. It was very clear which sport is most popular--on a Sunday afternoon, all of the pickleball courts were in use while the tennis courts were completely empty. There were many people playing softball, but no one was using the baseball fields. The soccer nets were available but not in use, and the basketball courts were also empty during my visit. A few observations about the facilities: * Dogs are not allowed in the park under the Town of Islip Code, unless special permission is granted. * The grass is well maintained and kept low. * I saw only one picnic table near the pool, which is currently closed for the season, but there were several picnic tables inside the closed pool area. * Visitors can bring a blanket if they want to sit on the grass during the colder months. * Benches are provided near the softball and baseball fields. However, there is no seating near the pickleball or tennis courts, aside from benches by the nearby baseball field. Overall, this park offers a variety of recreational facilities and is a good location for outdoor activities. The most needed improvement would be the installation of additional seating near the pickleball and tennis courts to better accommodate players and spectators. It's worth visiting if you enjoy pickleball, softball, or simply want a well-kept outdoor space.

The exception to this is the ninja warrior program which is not worth the money. It costs almost as much as gymnastics and it's only an hour. Classes run back to back also. So It takes 15 minutes for the staff to assemble a warrior course in the very back, which bites into your hours time. Then the kids just run the same course over and over. It's cute, but for 45 minutes of an obstacle course, it should be pretty cheap. My only other frustration is the mob scene that erupts when classes are changing. There's zero flow or crowd control. And no gap at all in start/end times. So you're fighting your way through "parenting pick up pandemonium". I generally find the staff and coaches very helpful and nice, as well as the desk clerks. No complaints there and they offer some really nice camp options during the summer. I would recommend gymnastics definitely.

My coworkers and I come here every Tuesday for their hosted volleyball events. They have two Volleyball courts set up with 4 teams playing against each other on a rotating set. Teams are usually randomly chosen to maintain a uniform skill level across the four teams. You can easily sign up on meetup.com but be sure to sign up in advanced as spots to fill up quick. Also you can purchase a game card which provides you 100$ credit for only $80. Each session is around an hour and a half and you are non stop playing except for the small five minute break between rotations. Everyone that goes is very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to teach you if you need help. Be sure to bring knee pads if you plan on diving. Overall their volleyball nights are something I look forward to now during the week.

We are fortunate to have them as our granddaughters coaches, they could not be more patient and caring. They have managed to not only keep it fun for the kids but they are actually teaching them a little soccer at the same time. These two gentlemen have made our Tuesday mornings one of our most fun activities, something our granddaughter really looks forward to. You should be quite proud and feel fortunate to have Coach Benny and Coach Darren as representatives of Happy Feet. They are awesome. So why not a 5-Star rating? Things are certainly buttoned up on the field (which is the most important aspect to me) but the administrative end is a bit of a crap shoot.
