Doors say they close at 10 but they're closed by 9pm every night. Was waved off by the workers inside.

Ordered the steak burrito dinner, and let me tell you--the steak was seasoned perfectly. Also tried the birria tacos, and the flavor was MUY BUENO! The Cantarito drink is solid as well as the Paloma which really stood out--refreshing and well-balanced. The bar was impressive with a great selection of tequila and bourbon. I was pleasantly surprised to see Eagle Rare on the shelf, which you don't find everywhere. Also, if you're lucky to have Abby as your bartender, consider yourself blessed in life and go play lottery. She's truly an extremely dope spirit The place was clean, and for a Saturday night, the service was surprisingly fast. All in all, highly recommend if you're looking for quality food, get right drinks, and amazingly great service!

We were very glad to see Kevin Elkins, the GM of Connors there that day. He is a great supporter of Swan Pointe. We sat at the 2 round tables and 6 booths. We were assigned 2 fabulous servers, Julian and Dzenan. Our server was Dzenan and he came around to our table and introduced himself and how he would be setting out water at each person's place setting and then he'd go around getting the drink orders and appetizers and bring out our freshly made rolls and butter. We looked over the menu and many decisions were made. Not only did we have our 2 servers checking on us, there were several chefs that came out to see if we were doing ok. The food started appearing around the room and my goodness it smelled delicious. I walked around the tables and grabbed pictures of pretty much everyone until my food was at the table and my husband was getting ready to text me. The servers didn't hover over us but kept refilling water glasses and pitchers and bringing back rolls and then clearing the tables. Being able to take advantage of smaller meals, and lower prices was really great for our group. That doesn't mean that our group had tiny portions, my steak was a 7oz Sirloin. We had a wonderful time and really look forward to returning again. Many of us come back frequently now that we've been here oftenand know what great service we get, how great the food is and how pleasant the ambiance is at Connors.

No wait and we were seated immediately in a booth. Service was great the entire visit. Our server Renne was knowledgeable, efficient, and kept things moving. Unfortunelky when we sat, our server let us know they were out of calamari, which was a letdown since it is one of their #1 appetizers. Here's the breakdown: Prickly Pear Margarita $15 This was sweet and smooth without being overly strong. The flavor leaned slightly toward raspberry. Easy to drink and well balanced. I liked it Complimentary bread We were served two warm rolls with a herb style pesto butter. The bread was fresh and soft inside with a light crust. Simple but very good, especially for something complimentary and unlimited. Fried mushrooms $13 Good portion size. The breading was light and crisp but not heavy, so you still got the mushroom flavor through it. The texture was tender, almost soft like cauliflower when cooked right. What really made this dish was the sauce, a spicy chipotle style aioli with a creamy base. That sauce was honestly better than the mushrooms themselves. Lobster bisque Included with the entree. Very creamy, smooth texture, rich color. The flavor was solid but slightly muted. There were very few visible lobster chunks, which was the main downside. It tasted more like a creamy seafood soup than something loaded with lobster. Still, as a free included side it was fine. A bit more salt and actual lobster pieces would improve it a lot. 14 oz Ribeye $43 This was the main event and it was great. Ordered medium rare and it came out exactly medium rare. The steak had a solid charcoal grilled crust on the outside without being overly burnt or bitter.Added some really great flavor. Some places overdo the char and it takes over the meat. Inside was juicy, tender, and a perfect mix of fat and meat. Really solid overall. They also split the steak and plated it for two without charging extra, which included dividing the sides as well. I also like how there was a small portion of chive butter included on the plate. It was simple but added a nice touch to the the steak. Most other toppings or flavored butters were $4 extra so it was nice nice to try one for free. Loaded baked potato side Large size and fully loaded with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and butter. It was soft inside with a proper fluffy texture, not dry or undercooked. Pretty standard steakhouse loaded potato. Strawberry shortcake Complimentary dessert with a candle for the special occasion, which was a nice touch. This was easily the highlight of the entire meal. Perfect balance between cake and strawberry filling. The strawberries tasted fresh and had real sweetness rather than being overly syrupy. Honestly one of the best strawberry shortcakes I've ever had and I grew up eating the ice cream pops. Highly recommended. Overall: Service was great, solid food, fair prices, and the dessert was excellent. The biggest downside was the calamari being unavailable, especially since it is their #1 app. I'll be back to actually try the calamari next time.

The restaurant was very comfortable and noise level was moderate with only a bit of difficulty hearing table mates seated more than one seat away. Food was delicious and everyone seated at my table was complimentary of their varied menu choices. I chose the seasonal offering of cedar plank "old fashioned" salmon with cherry gastrique glaze accompanied by steamed asparagus and whipped potatoes (substituted this for jasmine rice). Each of these items was perfectly prepared and had great flavor, texture, and presentation. Looking forward to return visits in the future.

Had its ups and downs....wonderful lunches with girlfriends to Xmas Eve takeout with food missing. So it's Mother's Day weekend. Our family of 6 celebrated Saturday with a 3p reservation. Opened at 10a. We asked for accessible seating as my husband sits on his scooter. They know we're coming. Door says, use revolving door only. Sure enough, door for us is locked. I knock. No answer. Have to wait for kind couple who go in revolving door and open from inside for us. Hostess shocked and has to prove to herself. Then gets manager who is shocked also. No I'm sorry, from either of them. People, this door has been locked since 10a and it's 3p. Plus signage says do not use!! Sit at table. Eighteen year old grandson says crumbs on paper tablecloth. I feel them also. We say nothing. Food is good. Drinks were good. Had to wait forever to get bread. Had to ask other staff to find our waitress so we could order. Not sure if she was working in kitchen or bar but never in sight. What a shame!! Soooo disappointed. For us, staff excellence makes up a huge portion of enjoying the outing. Food may be wonderful but such a rough start really takes away from our special occasion. Must mention, The guy that BROUGHT our drinks and food was EXCELLENT!!!! Personality plus. No more Bonefish gift cards for us.

Other diners chose the Pina colada and also a Friday cocktail special of Holy Water, which included blue curaçao. Feedback was mixed. We started with 1/2 pound of hot and spicy peel and eat shrimp and a dozen oysters. Great preparation and taste. It was apparently all so good and we had such a great time that we forgot to take photos of the food. We shared steamer bowls and a captain's platter. This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. We had arrived famished and we all left satiated and carrying out To Go boxes. Our server was fantastic, helping us relocate inside when the storm popped up, and very attentive through our entire visit. Looking forward to future visits and more great seafood.

It's always a good choice if you want fried seafood and cheaper shell fish. It hasn't changed one iota since our first visit in 2010. My daughter and I were doing some Christmas shopping in Louisville and we'd have much rather preferred getting oysters and the seafood tower at The Capital Grille by the Oxmoor but we were kinda "steaked" out. It's always been busy and popular but when we got there it was practically empty, by the time we left it had filled to capacity. Lots of oak tables and the decor is typical seafood restaurant on the gulf shore. It's has a weathered look but I think that's the point, it doesn't distract. The staff has always been friendly and since we beat the crowd, service was quick. We started off with a dozen oysters (I'm guessing from the gulf) which is half the price of oysters at all the raw bars at premium steakhouses. Yeah they're not Chesapeakes, Kumamotos, or blue points but my palates not so refined so I can't tell the difference from the eastern gulf oysters. We also got the smoked tuna dip, which has always been popular with my kids. I secretly think it's just Krogers flavored tuna with a few dashes of liquid smoke but it's still very good. We were there mainly for the oysters and the tuna dip so we just got sandwiches, the grouper sandwich and the oyster po boy. They are fine, what you'd expect to get in Kentucky, but nothing like you could get on the coast, they are neither as big nor as fresh. If you want a bit of the gulf coast and some reasonably priced shellfish or a seafood boil Rumor's on Shelbyville is a decent choice.
