Between Moe's, Chipotle, and QDoba, I tend to prefer QDoba over the others. Not to slight Moe's or Chipotle, but a) QDoba is closer to where I live and 2) it was the first of the three chains that I visited so it has the advantage having been there first. We've eaten that is location quite a few times and the service has always been good. They're quick to take your order and get it moving down the line. I think my average time from order to food delivery is usually less 4 minutes. The food has always been accurate, delivered hot (it's made right before your eyes) and always flavorful. The food portions are huge, and if you walk away hungry it's because you weren't a member of the Clean Plate club. A few years ago they moved to a different pricing strategy that I questioned at the time but seems to have done them well. Basically, a burrito costs ($x.xx), regardless of the meat/beans/rice/cheese/veggies/guac, etc., so you have a pretty good idea that your $7.00 burrito is going to cost $7.00 and not $9.50 because you added quac and sour cream. One time the pop (soda) (soft drink) (whatever you want to call it) machine was down (damn computers, anyway) so they actually let you get bottled drinks out of the cooler for the same price as you'd pay for a fountain drink. The manager apologized and said that the repair guy had actually just arrived (and he did, because he was working on it within ten minutes.) My favorite food item used to be the Fajita Ranchero Burrito. What an amazing delight that was. However, when QDoba went through one of it's personality changes about five years ago they got rid of the Ranchero sauce, even though I begged...I pleaded...I offered real cash to get them to keep it, but....alas.... All three chains offer grilled fajita veggies for their items, but I'll put QDoba's above the others and I really, REALLY wish I could emulate that exact flavor at home. Whenever we've visited the store has been clean, the line well-stocked, and the staff hustling and focused on making sure everything is in order. Having been do dozens of QDoba locations in about 7 states, this is absolutely my favorite. ...and now I know what I'm having for dinner tomorrow.

Went to Q'doba with my wife tonight. I ordered my normal but she wasn't sure what to get. Fernando and Rico were extremely helpful with suggestions and even allowed her to sample a couple of items so she could find exactly what she wanted. These two gentlemen were very professional and extremely patient while she was making her decision. Not only did we enjoy a great meal, my wife walked away with a new favorite!!

If you work in J-town this is an excellent spot for your lunch break or takeout... You WILL be waiting in like from entrance to counter if you arrive after 12:00pm until about 2:00pm Their team is consistent and the food is consistent. Online ordering is convenient but I recommend calling to ensure they received the order. The Qdoba Card collects points for a free entree quickly when you and your friends at work are eating there once a week and the BOGO deals are impossible to pass up. Again another Chain... Doing it right... Because they have policies and procedures in place and you always know what you are going to get. MY FAVORITE: Pulled Pork Nachos with regular queso, sour cream, shredded cheese, guac & corn salsa (all on the side so I can dip my chips and they don't get soggy) PS: If you have never eaten at Qdoba yes, the chips taste like lime and are extra salty on purpose.

I do group this in the "Fast Food" category and I do refuse, no matter how good the food or service to give them more than 3 stars. This is however the BEST Qdoba in town I have eaten at. The service is always good (Even during their busy lunch hours) and they get you in and out pretty freaking quick. The REWARDS Program they offer is good also. This was also a very nice and needed addition to the local food scene.

I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

We ordered the Trio of Guacamole and they were all fantastic. I ordered an Oaxaca Old Fashioned. The presentation was crazy. It smoked and bubbled. When we arrived we had a brief wait before we checked in, and were seated on the second level. Our server was excellent, our service was quick and he was always around without hovering. It was bitter cold outside so instead of my usual margarita ($14+) I opted for a beer ($6). We started with the salsa trio, one of my favorites with handmade assorted chips. It includes three salsas, somewhat spicy, sweet tomato and tomatillo - the spicy and sweet were my favorites. Next we ordered the tacos el carbon and carbon burrito - pricing is expensive! We both ordered our steaks medium rare. My tacos had a beautiful presentation, the meat came out on a skewer and smoking from the hot coals. All toppings were repeated on the plate. The steak was overcooked and tough though. Had a nice smoke to it, but very chewy. My husband enjoyed his burrito but wasn't the best he's ever had. They also had a mariachi band walk around but they had "tips" all over their instruments and clothes. Overall we had a nice meal but the price point doesn't equal the food quality.

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!
