5/22/2026 We went to the Zaxby's location nearest our home. We were hungry and had a coupon in our app for a savings. We were having some trouble using the app, so we went into the restaurant and asked Roxana D if she could help us. Our very favorite meal to order is the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla. We ordered one for both of us and 2 drinks. I wanted Zaxby's Unsweet Ice Tea but it was being refilled, so Roxana filled my cup and brought it out to our table. Our Quesadillas were ready very quickly and we loved them. I never can eat a whole one, so I was looking forward to having it the next day for lunch. I wanted a tea refill so I walked back up to get them to refill my cup. They have the best tea. Roxana checked on us several times while we were there. Ordered on mobile app for a sandwich with 3$ off. I think their chicken fingers are on the small side when . Compared to other restaurants. I like the thick fries and they were hot. Prices have increased significantly since I first started eating here. I usually do not eat here without a coupon or discount. We come here once in a while since it's not close to us but when in area, always stop or drive-thru. My kids love the sandwiches and chicken strips plus with huge variety of sauces it great. Both my wife and I usually get the Salads and I may get the Reg Chicken sandwich which are larger than Chick-fil-A but more $ too. We've never been disappointed with any of their food. Zaxby's is still my favorite spot for a house salad with fried chicken. It's a filling meal and they're never stingy with their chicken. This week we learned they offer family packs. It comes with 20 chicken tenders plus fries and Texas toast for 4. You can also pick your sauces. It made for a great dinner and our tenders were fresh and hot. You've got to be kidding me. I've never been so dissatisfied and disappointed. We ordered 3 Zaxby's sandwich plates. Our order took forever to arrive. When we opened our sandwiches we found mangled and smashed sandwiches slathered in sauce. They were a shapeless, dripping mess. We also noticed that the cook in the back was the only one working. We're here from out of state where we have chic fila and raisin canes. We've never had Zaxby's but we've heard the debates about which of the 3 are better. Hands down, Zaxby's has the best chicken. I'll still tout chic fila's waffle fries as superior, but other than that, Zaxby's has won my vote! read more

This is the closest Zaxby's to our house. We've been here a number of times and generally had a good experience. Our most recent visit, however....ouch. Saturday afternoon and we head here for a late lunch (about 2pm). When we walked in the door the dining room was a complete disaster. A previous group of customers took it upon themselves to rearrange all of the tables that were usable (some were covid-restricted), leaving nothing but booths for anyone else that came in after then to sit in (personally, I hate booths, but anyway). That large party left, but in true "I've got a large group of people and we're going to rearrange the furniture and NOT put it back where it belongs because it's not our job" fashion, they didn't put the tables back. (side note: Wanna see furniture moving at its best? Try ANY Jason's Deli) We stood and waited while a couple other people ordered, then made our way to the registers. I ordered a Cajun Chicken Club and my wife ordered a salad. We paid at 2:15 and took a seat...at a booth. And then we waited. Twenty minutes later our order number was called. 2:35pm. I could see our food sitting on the counter for at least 10 of those minutes. Knowing I had fries in the Styrofoam box, I knew what I was going to be getting. Took the bag to the table (apparently they don't use trays any more) to get our food out. My Cajun chicken club container was, literally, sideways in the bag. It had been tossed into the bag on top of my wife's salad and ended up sideways. Gravity did its work and the sandwich was scattered around inside the box and on top of the now cold fries. (re: sitting on the counter for 10 minutes). So I had to reassemble my sandwich. The cold-ass fries were disgusting. And what else? My wife's salad came without salad dressing and without plasticware. We received no napkins. Back up to the counter I go. Meanwhile the order taker/cashier was trying to get the disaster of a dining room back in shape while I was at least 2 other employees doing nothing to help that catastrophe. 20 minute food delivery time. Sandwich might have well just have come with "some assembly required" on the box. Cold-ass fries. No dressing on the salad. No plasticware/napkins Dining room looked a demilitarized zone. Yea, this location is close to home, but after this I'm honestly not compelled to visit again. read more

I love Zaxby's. The staff is super friendly. The food is really good and they offer a variety to chose from. The staff as soon as you walk in usually will say hello or acknowledge you and will get you thru the line as quickly as possible. The food is always hot. Their Zaxby's sauce is so yummy. You won't be disappointed at all. Their drive thru is usually fast and they are friendly as well. I have used their catering services as well and you won't be disappointed. Zaxbys is a pretty tasty chicken restaurant. They have a lot of options, are fast, and my food came out piping hot! This location was very busy so that just tells me that they work hard to provide great service regularly. The order caller was SUPER loud and disruptive while I was eating so I was a little put off by that but all in all, it was a very good experience. read more

Hot and fresh food, delivered by a friendly staff. This summarizes my experiences at this location. These people are always friendly and accommodating, including when we throw them a curve ball on obscure requests. This really speaks well to the management, who appear to empower their employees more than a typical fast food restaurant. Regarding the food itself, it has been a consistently great experience each time I've visited. Excited to finally get some Zaxby's. It was a drive but there isn't one in the Greater Cincinnati area. Arrived and it was busy. There was a long line but they were moving it along fast. The woman who took my order was very friendly. She took my order and got me my drink cups while I waited. They use the coke machine with all the selections. I ordered the big zack sac meal and the fried chicken salad with ranch. I normally love the fries then I use the ready of my chicken in my salad. It's been awhile but the portions seemed smaller. I did ask for more fries as there were not many in the box. I requested extra seasoning and wanted hot fries. The fries were good. The chicken was good and I love the sauce. I then ate the salad which was tasty. I only get it with onions, cheese, chicken and the toast. I love the salads and miss them sooo much. I really wish there was a Zaxby's in my area. I would go often. The salads alone would be my reason. The overall experience was good. The staff was nice and the food was good. I'm not sure why they are so h3ll bent on trying to not sell a sandwich by itself. If you ask for a sandwich they will automatically ring up a combo. If you ask what the price of a sandwich is they clueless point to the menu board which shows the meal price and say those are the prices. They are not in fact the prices. The sandwiches range from $5.99-$8. It's frustrating when you have to argue with someone who should know what they sell and how much. Get a clue Zaxby's. I was so glad when I saw a Zaxby's was opening close to me. I loved Zaxby's when they were in Bowling Green and then I moved to Arizona and missed them sorely. However, I was a little disappointed. Seems like I remember the Wimpy sauce being more flavorful. But this isn't. I did love the Blue Zalad. VERY good. my son got the bonless terriake wings. He liked them. We got the chips as an appetizer and Some of them were cooked ok. But there was a mass of nearly raw potatoes in the middle of the mass. Quite nasty. At least they made me a new order. My boyfriend picked up some Zaxby's for dinner last night (via drive thru) and we were pleased, once again, with our meals! We first went to Zaxby's in Georgia (somewhere outside of Atlanta) and we recalled liking it, so, being in a rush and needing some dinner, we got Zaxby's. This place is known for their chicken, where you can get a chicken sandwich, chicken fingers or buffalo chicken (boneless, as well), salads with chicken, etc. I really like their meal options, because they come with fries and Texas toast. Their Zaxby sauce is also quite tangy and tasty, which is a nice step up from regular ketchup. The prices are also reasonable too, especially given how much food you get, and this place somewhat considered a fast-food joint. With this specific location, my boyfriend said the drive-thru was nice and he had no problems ordering or getting the food. Now, I cannot speak for the inside of the restaurant, so, take this at face value! Overall, we were very pleased with our meals! I ended up getting a split of chicken fingers and boneless chicken wings (with BBQ coating), and I ate every last bite! The fries are tasty, and the Texas toast is mediocre, but hey, I really would choose this place over any other fast food place like McDonalds. If you are in a hurry, like chicken and want some bang for your buck, Zaxby's is the way to go! read more

It's not a ton of food, but just enough so you feel full but not incredibly stuffed. Partly because I haven't given many of my reviews 2 stars, partly because I have had better Zaxby's, this new location is going to sit low on my list of constellations. I happened to be on the far east side of Louisville one Sunday and happened across this Zaxby's across from 'Jesus over Six Flags' a.k.a Southeast Christian Church, which is not exactly southeast of Louisville but alas, you can't really miss it. Anyway, I noticed this Zaxby's and feeling nostalgic for lunch breaks and chicken fingers with Kickin' Chicken sauce in Bowling Green, the boys and I decided to stop in. Well, Zaxby's has expanded considerably since my days at WKU, now with 450+ locations across the U.S., however, with that expansion it seems to have lost something. The portions are small --- really small. My sandwich had two tiny chicken fingers, my youngest son's kid's meal had 2 even tinier chicken fingers, and my oldest son's grilled cheese kid's meal was half a grilled cheese sandwich and about 10 fries. If it weren't for the "spicy" fried mushroom appetizer, we would still be hungry. And I place quotes around "spicy" because they were really not spicy at all. I did appreciate the little tub of Zaxby's Sauce, still pretty tasty, and I still like the Texas Toast they use for the sandwiches. It's toast, what's not to like? Otherwise, the food, was somewhat lacking. On the upside, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Late 70s, early 80s music playing. Peter Gabriel's 'Shock the Monkey' saved this from being a star lower. In summation, this really deserves about 2 1/2 stars, somewhere between 'Meh' and 'OK'. read more
