Schiller Hardwood Floor Designs LLC recently refinished my oak flooring in October 2016. I made the…read moreappointment a few months prior and the work was done the same week scheduled. My floor was installed when we built the house in September 1998 and had not been refinished since that time. It had water damage from watering plants, a leaky dishwasher and refrigerator water lines. I also had a large stain from ink, etc. There were also a few things I wanted done besides just refinishing the oak flooring. I wanted all my base shoe molding removed before they sanded the oak floor and I wanted it reinstalled upon completion of the job. Schiller Hardwood was the only flooring contractor of the 3 I interviewed that said they would remove and reinstall the base shoe before sanding the floor. I was happy to pay the additional cost. Additionally I requested they remove and install new maple toe kick under my kitchen cabinets and island and make a new custom transition oak board to be installed between my oak floor and ceramic tile flooring. I also had oak trim around a soapstone tile area that had to be sanded and finish applied very carefully so as not to get any on the tile. There was no damage to the tile at all. In my opinion my oak floors look brand new after they were done, which I did not think would even be possible. See for yourself with my 2 before and 2 after photos I will attempt to upload to this review. All my stains are gone, and believe me the ones from the dishwasher, refrigerator and ink were jet black! The water stains from my plants are not visible. The sanding job they did was fantastic, it is an art not to have any swirl marks whatsoever on the floor. They managed to take every piece of base shoe off, mark it and reinstall it exactly as it was. The custom transition piece they made for between the oak and ceramic floor looks great. I am very pleased with the outcome of my floors!

Brian arrived on time and did a great job! He was also very nice, which is important when someone is spending a few days at your house.

We added on carpeting two sets of utility stairs (garage/unfinished basement), and then dropped the knowledge on him that we had purchased LVT for our kitchen and entry that we needed to install as well. Surprisingly, we were able to tack that on to the quote and job. I'm super happy about the cash discount offered!! Cash is Queen! The installers busted their backsides. The LVT guys were here a few days to prep (as we had flooring under flooring, and uneven underlayment). They did everything I asked of them and also presented me with options throughout the process. Because of this, I know that down the road if I change out this new flooring, the process will be easier. Very happy! They were also super clean and respectful of my home. The carpet installers were amazing! My dumb self made an error (couldn't find the remnants after install) and my word they were nice about it. (They were literally right in front of my eyes in the basement and for some reason, I couldn't see them. I felt so dumb. lol) The carpet looks amazing too! I just keep using that word---amazing. All in all, I had... you guessed it, an AMAZING experience with CarpetLand!

My wife hit the ceiling...she had a very hard time in her wheelchair trying to roll over the floor's regular surface then up and down both 1/4 to 1/2 inch drop to the subfloor. Her complaint reached Joe, a corporate executive; he changed the date to July 31. David, Omar, and Scott did a most expert job of installing the complex pattern of the floor. The floor looks great! I hired him to replace my deck boards. I got the material and he was to start. start delayed…read more then delayed. then delayed. After two weeks, there was minimal progress. I got a TEXT message stating he could not continue and quit!!! I hired someone to continue and finish. He found many issues that needed to be done over, before he could complete my job. Ultimately, my deck is done, but two and a half months later. It is done right now, since he had to repair the improper work done. I would not recommend.

The first day, her husband, Julio, got a lot done. We were excited and thought this is great. It QUICKLY turned into a nightmare remodel!! When they did come to work, it was about 10:30am to 3pm, and hour for lunch during those times. We heard every excuse why they couldn't come out, somebody was sick, dog ran away, plumbing issues, short staffed, weather, etc... We rarely saw Julio, and Katie would come out, just to get money. One time she wanted a check early, because she said she couldn't pay her guys. (Even though I always paid the amount due, ahead of time) Fast forward to mid February, Katie comes out, wanting the final payment, which was over $16,000. She promised everything would be finished by the end of the week. She kept bullying me, until I gave her the check that day. (Which, in the contract, you pay the final 20% after completion. And again, I was ahead of schedule) They never finished the remodel, would not answer our calls, texts, emails. My husband talked to Janelle, at their store, a few times, but no response from the owners Katie and Julio. (BTW- work was subpar, except for what Hilberto and Florencio did) It is now December 8th 2021, over a year later, and house was never finished, even though Katie and Julio took 100% of our money!!,

Katie came out, did her measurements and gave us a price for the sample we picked, kitchen and three bathrooms, she included a kitchen sink and five bath sinks and her price was half of the kitchen only price from Lonnies. This is a great family owned and operated business. We have since moved and redoing another kitchen, JC's will be the only call we make.
