Absolutely the best buying experience of my life!! My husband has been following the Long McArthur Ford YouTube channel for quite some time and has 100% trust in Tim Bartz so when we ran across a gently used Ford Explorer ST located at Long McArthur, we quickly became serious buyers. We contacted the dealership and spoke to Desiree Heitsman who got us in contact with Burgandy Babson in the sales department. Burgandy and I spoke, texted and emailed discussing their inventory and we found the original vehicle I had found did not have all the options I wanted. She mentioned they had another Explorer ST with all the options we wanted plus more and had less miles but it was slightly higher in price. We discussed all the details of both and decided to go with her recommendation. We live in the Oklahoma City area and we were not trading in a vehicle. My husband works nights so the only option we had to get to Salina was for me to take a bus. After I accepted Burgandy's offer, I found Greyhound had a bus leaving Oklahoma City that night (Friday) for Salina and stopped at a Super 8 hotel within a mile from the dealership. I made the reservations and headed to Salina. Burgandy picked me up at the hotel Saturday morning and took me to the dealership, She let me know there was a little snag in securing the keys for the vehicle I was buying but she had already talked to her manager and was working through it. I was a little upset with the news but she assured me everything would work out. She was incredibly patient and understood my frustration. She was confident things would work out and that I would leave in the perfect vehicle. She ironed out the snag and after the test drive, I was sitting in the finance office with Ben Ashmore signing papers on the perfect Explorer ST. Ben explained the aftermarket warranty coverages available and with his recommendations and considering the the options of the vehicle, I decided that I definitely wanted a few of the coverages. He even made some concessions on pricing with a minimal affect on my payment. The aftermarket assistant manager, Niles Gridley, even made time to talk to me about items I may find I need in the future and told me if I ever needed anything to contact him - even if it was just to get advice or have questions. Niles gave me some valuable information on everything from floor mats to window tint. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. The entire staff at Long McArthur Ford is exceptional. Their honesty, integrity, and compassion is far above any dealership I have encountered. They truly care and will do whatever is needed to put you in the perfect vehicle. read more

Kept calling the auto body shop for repairs to my company vehicle and they never returned my (multiple) calls. Called front to ask for assistance or to get someone to get answers and was told they are super backed up. I told her I understood but asked why I never received any communications for over 2 months and now being told to leave another message? When asked to please talk to someone in charge of that division's management, I was told there is no one but 2 managers in charge of that division and workers no one higher, and I needed to keep calling those people. I kept telling her I wasn't upset with her but it's not how a company should run, some communication is NEEDED. It's disappointing be treated like a hassle for wanting answers and trying to get my car looked at (guaranteed payment- corporate company) . After discussing it with my company, we've decided even though they would have liked to use ford for repairs and maintenance checks (we use ford vehicles), we will be going elsewhere from now on. I don't have anything positive from this drawn out experience so I won't be recommending them to anyone else or even recommend buying a car from them, getting a hold of the auto shop for answers is pretty impossible. (Called another auto shop and they answered and told me honestly they are busy, I respect that and will try another time with them. Got in with shop they recommended.) Purchased a 2025 Platinum Explorer, got the Pro Pack, purchased in past. Got home and seen a lot of overspray on the vehical, tried to wash it off, NOPE!!!!!! So now it is spotted and to mention the car is black. The piano black trim is dull, so disappointing!!!! If the salespeople are going to run up the milage and then take it through a local car wash, at least get the better wash before putting it on the lot to sell. It had soap residue still on it!! I have bought numerous vehicals from Long McAurthur in the past, but this will be my last one. I have bought 2 new vehicles from Long Mac and was looking to buy another and SCHEDULED an appointment with Kyle Davis to meet and look for another car. Not only did he not have time to meet with me, he arranged for another salesman who was also too busy. A third salesman, Don didn't want to get out of his chair. Kept saying go to Ford.com and design what you want and he'll look for one. Asked to look at new Escapes and he finally got keys and then POINTED out where they were and left with an excuse. I have never been so insulted by 2 commisson salesman. We had previously looked at another dealership for different options and left Long MacArthur and drove directly to Conklin Cars and purchased a new car there. Conklin made us feel like friends. 6 weeks since we were at Long Mac's, we still have never heard from either salesmen and don't expect too either. Will never set foot on their lot again. read more

So this entire car buying and registering process is an ongoing nightmare. My husband and I ordered a Ford Ranger. It took so long to get made that we were obliged to move to Arizona for my work. Adam Rumsey, our sales associate, was aware of this. Our truck came in, and it took us over a month to be able to drive to pick it up, which we informed multiple people of, but I guess Long McArthur doesn't give a fuck because they put a 60-day temp tag on a truck we picked up with 30 days left to go. Adam also failed to inform us after a 2 day straight drive in any way that made a difference that we would be paying taxes on the truck out of pocket, so we were hit with a 3k expense to register the fucking truck out of nowhere. We told Adam that we would be driving to Pennsylvania then Florida to register the truck before driving back to Arizona and asked if there was any paperwork we needed. He said no. We arrive at the DMV and it turns out that was a bald-faced fucking lie. We learned about the 3k fee there and the paperwork that we needed that we are STILL waiting for. Kansas says it's illegal for them to extend our time with our temp tag because they're a fucking hellscape that we couldn't get away from fast enough. We still don't have 3k or the document needed to register our truck in four days. Long McArthur fucked us over. Long McArthur *continues* to fuck us over. Had radiator issues on the road (in the middle of moving across the country). They welcomed us (fifth wheel, animals, kids, and all) and took amazing care of us. I could tell from my first interactions with Chris Herbst, Tim Bartz, Tate, et al, that this is my kind of dealership to deal with. Despite being 700 miles away. The ordering process on my Maverick was smooth and they did the paperwork correctly the first time. Tim always knew how to strategize the order to maximize his allocations and despite my building a unicorn in terms of features, Long McArthur did what they could to get it here as fast as Ford would allow. Long McArthur is the only dealer I see who is consistently providing the truth on their YouTube channel. They also made sure that I didn't get stuck with any ADM as they made good on the price quoted to me at the beginning of the process. I called this dealership because I'm interested in a 2022 or 2023 F150 hybrid and I get some lady sales person on the phone and I'm asking her questions and she knew none of them and she's telling me to go to the Ford website I told her just forget it and I hung up! One of the things I hate when buying a new vehicle is this type of thing where the sales person absolutely knows zero or I guess possibly just doesn't feel like being a sales person and instead refer you to a website! I am very impressed with the gentlemen we dealt with for our transaction. We are from Chicago and we drove out for a specific F250 truck we were interested in. After a 10.5 hour drive we were exhausted and happy to say the truck ended up being more awesome than we expected. I have to say, they are by far the most down to earth people. We cannot be more satisfied with our situation. The only downside was we traded in a brand new F250 truck we bought two weeks ago and we took a decent hit on it. Otherwise the customer service we received was above and beyond any we have experienced at dealerships in the past. Dave Idle was our salesman and Mike Solis was our financial guru, we also had Dillon and Luke working with us. Dillon dealt with switching items on the trade in and getting the new truck all sorted out with removing stickers, switching and cleaning mats, switching antennas, on boarding for the truck, car wash, etc., Luke is the aftermarket products guru and he was laying on the snow slush ground troubleshooting why an LED light wasn't working on the power step rail. Being out of state they understood how time was precious and did everything they could to get us back on the road. We asked hundreds of questions since this was our first out of state transaction and I'm happy to report that these gentlemen never took longer than 5 minutes to respond. Avoid this dealership if you are trading in a vehicle - they are happy to exploit customers. I wasted an entire day and several thousand dollars enriching this dealership when I could have had my Maverick order shipped to my door. I was driving in (to utilize A/Z plan & trade-in for KS tax offset) from 2.5 hours away with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue. Ahead of coming in I sent photos and asked them to appraise my vehicle for trade-in, they refused saying they need to see it in person. I ignored that red flag, but at the time thought no big deal they would provide reasonable value for my trade-in. I was getting local quotes for $19,700-21,000 (dealerships & online). After their onsite "appraisal" they came back to me with $17,000 quoting the lowest value on KBB under the 'Fair' category, while the vehicle is Very Good or Excellent. They refused to improve on their number and played the 'finance manager' game three times over the course of 2 hours eventually adding...$250. Normally I would have walked but didn't have the means to store/transport two vehicles that far away from home. A few days later they listed my trade-in for $27,250. read more

I have purchased many trucks in my life and I highly recommend staying away from this dealership. Once I received the truck this place refused to corospond with me. I was told that my paperwork was sent to me and I never did receive it. This has caused my vehicle to get impounded because the registration wasn't current and when I asked them for the paperwork they told me it takes a while to receive it . I have made numerous attempts to get a hold of their management and their DMV Department and never received a call back nor an email. I told my daughter to try and deal with it for me and after almost 1 week they sent her a copy of my paperwork. The problem with that is they had no idea who she was because her last name isn't the same as mine yet they released all of my personal information to her without my permission. I just spoke with my attorney about this and they will be sued. Stay away from dealing with these crooks. read more

I bid on a car from the internet (eBay) and when asked to purchase directly their salesman Mike Bayard shamelessly supplied a Canadian invoice by email for their car and an American invoice for the vin number of the vehicle I had told him I was also considering that was selling near my home. (See posted pictures for proof). I even asked if this price was correct for his vehicle- that this particular mustang cost $56,000 originally. He verified that it did. Their $56,000 Canadian invoice converted to US dollars was $41,000 US. After confronting him with this absolutely verifiable lie, he immediately ditched me on the phone. I was referred to Kevin Sander (sales manager) who had zero interest in the fact that his salesman flat out lied to me and seemed completely complicit with this deception. Kevin Sander then lied himself and tried to claim Mike Bayard May have been confused because the final assembly point of the vehicle was in Canada (Look at the invoice- it clearly says Flat Rock Michigan). You don't work around these vehicles and not correctly know prices. As a mea culpa he offered me $1000 off the overly inflated asking price of the vehicle. However, recently we returned for an oil change and a request for estimates on a couple items we were considering to fix. We also made the mistake of sitting down with a sales associate to talk buying something new. Wow! What an exercise in futility! Disconnected, sterile, fake, impersonal are just a few of the descriptions that sum up our attempt at trying to purchase here! To top it off we were charged $200 over the oil change price just so they could do some Google searches for our repair estimates. The service manager was non apologetic and unwilling to consider the potential loss of a customer over a nickel and dime! We will not be returning to this toxic environment! Bought a pickup with 13,000 miles. Tires were dry rotted and no floor mates and a air filter over a year old. Was pre certified . Air filter was due for a change same with the tires due to weathered conditions.Tint on the windows was bubbling. The tint manger was rude and unresponsive about resolving the issue when buying the pickup. Family has done business for over 15 years . Buying from Long McArthur was one of the worst customer service experiances I have ever had. I bought a 2017 Lincoln MKX from them. It was very low miles and supposed to be Certified Preowned. Witin 5 days of purchasing we started having lots of electrical problems with the car. If you didnt start it for 2 days it wou;ld kill the battery to the point it would not recharge and it would have to be replaced. JD, the Lincoln Concierge, tried to blame it on bad battery cells or my charger that I had to keep on the battery to keep it from draining. it would drain the battery 50 to 60% each night. Their service department had our car 5 times and coud never find the problem. Everytime we would get it back it would do it again right way. they finally admitted after 7 months of trouble that it was a major electrical and needed to get us into another car. They had nothing similar to what we origanally bought and didnt try to locate anything from another location. The only deal they would give us on a vehicle that was nothing like what we origanlly purchased from them and only offered $2000 off the price and tried to say that it was under their cost at that price. The used car sales manager is a liar and their service department sucks! They gave us a gift card to Olive Garden to try and "make us happy". They never made us happy! Worst service ever. Took my Ford Focus in for the clutch warranty and ended up paying $80 because they took off "swolen" lug nuts and stripped them. They didn't notify me until they had finished the clutch repair that they needed replaced. They called me stating I owed them money when I insisted I didn't have the money till Friday and I would call them back if I got the money. Well, they replaced the lug nuts anyway without my consent. After two hours of waiting and figuring out what to do, I still had to pay the money even though they were at fault. read more

I am very displeased at the service i received the last time I took my vehicle out to get looked at. When I picked my car back up, there were 40 extra miles on the speedometer. I know this because on the receipt they gave me, it showed almost 40 miles less than what my speedometer was reading. We're the employees using my car for leisure? Possibly. I've witnessed the employees riding on the hood of a car inside the building, and I'm assuming it was a customer's vehicle. My very expensive sunglasses were also all bent up when I looked in my console. I always put my sunglasses back in their case before I put them away because they're expensive, yet I found them not in the case and practically broken. Why would the employees be rummaging around my console, let along taking my personally belongings out to mess with? The time before last, I also found my even more expensive sunglasses on the floor under the passenger seat. Is it really that hard to just do your job and leave people's personal belongings alone?? read more

I was leery as I live 4 hours away from Salina, KS. Scott Sitton and I hashed out the details using email and a phone. We arrived at the dealership and took a quick test drive. The team knew we had traveled far and had a long way to go back home. They had all the paperwork pre-printed and all we had to do was sign and drive. Dan Penner was the salesman that helped me get exactly what I wanted, and made sure the truck was equipped to do the job that it was intended for. There were no high pressure sales, or bait and switch tactics used, he was fair and honest, making the process very stress free. This dealership is not interested in making a quick sale at any price, they want customers to come back, and service is how they accomplish the goal, The entire staff seems to genuinely like their jobs, and they want any visit to the dealership to be a positive experience. Long McArthur applied for a loan for us without any approval from us. In July we were shopping for a used car. We heard only good things about Long McArthur so we decided to go shopping there. We were impressed with Chris, the sales person we worked with, and we were close to purchasing a vehicle. After telling Chris that we were going to think about it we went home and Chris called to see if he could get our credit score to help him in the process. I gave him the information he asked for (stupid on my part) and then we decided to look at another vehicle in Manhattan and found a vehicle that fit us better. I did text Chris and told him we were not going to buy from them. A couple weeks later we started receiving loan denials from various institutions. I sent a text to Chris asking why they had applied for a loan without our permission but did not receive any reply. I wrote a message and someone senior to Chris called but I missed his call. I returned his call but missed him and never hear back. I would be very careful dealing with these people. read more

The appointment was scheduled for the next day, The installation took longer than expected because a kit was required to really fix the problem.
