AVOID AT ALL MEANS NECESSARY! NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. The only positive reviews are from owners and employees. Its unfortunate this company has such as large share of the market in the area. They are horrible to work with and will scam you for every penny they can. Don't expect to get any of your security deposit back unless you take detailed pictures of every single thing in the house and document it on your move in checklist. They work with the homeowners and local repair companies to put as much cost of repairs / replacements / upgrades on the tenant as possible. Additionally, they charge outrageous amounts for normal things like filling nail holes and reapplying paint. In my house...you could see the rushed, cheap patch work done on nearly every wall..so its not like they're actually doing anything well. Furthermore, their response time for issues with appliances is horrendous. We were without a working fridge/freezer for weeks, and had a similar experience with the washing machine. There is no good will from this company, even if you try to reason with them and do them favors (I repaired the broken fridge and saved them time & money after they valued the damaged fridge at $1800). They also expect you as a tenant to take care of things in the house that are not a tenant's responsibility anywhere else I have ever lived. I would like to say this is an isolated incident and that I had a bad experience but I worked with numerous people who had very similar experiences. I am a successful engineer and rarely speak bad about anyone but this group effectively made these issues personal. They are greedy, unfair, unjust, and are borderline exploitative. If it was worth my time, I would pursue legal action just to get my security deposit back. By far the worst company I have dealt with in my life. This office, led by Connie Ward, will try to scam tenants for extra money every chance they get. I implore everyone to stay away. The worst part is that Connie's office is an affiliate of Long Realty. When I tried to complain to a higher supervisor at Long Realty in Tucson, I found out that Long Realty was unable to take any action over this specific office. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST, AND WILL CERTAINLY BURN YOU IN THE END. My wife and I were looking for a home to rent as we got established in Sierra Vista, and we put out several calls to multiple property management companies asking if any of their owners would be willing to work out a discounted monthly rent if we signed a 24+ month lease. Long Realty all but assured us that they had owners who would entertain offers, and showed us several listings that met our criteria. We walked a property, decided we liked it, and was given an actual dollar figure for what the estimated discounted rent would be if we were approved. Well, we paid the application fee and got approved, and immediately upon approval Edwin(or Edmund, his accent made it difficult to discern - his accent is irrelevant but his name isn't - if you get a guy named Edwin/Edmund, just know that you're dealing with a charlatan) of Long Realty called to let me know that the owner was locked in at the original price and would not offer a discount. But he also made sure to really display his fabricated excitement that we had gotten approved, and that we could rent any of the homes we were approved for .... at full price. Now here's the thing. I'm happy to pay full price on rent, I wasn't demanding that someone cut me a deal, I was just hoping that someone would entertain an offer, but even if they didn't I would have still applied and most likely rented, but I felt like Long Realty was being dishonest with me from the get-go by giving me a list of homes with owners that would be willing to work out a discount - but that turned into "well all the homes are going to be full price regardless of the length of the lease because all of our owners were locked in from the start", and hearing that AFTER we had paid the NON-REFUNDABLE application fee felt like we had been taken for a ride. When I tried to express this to Edwin/Edmond, he attempted to brush me off multiple times until I came out and asked why he was being dishonest with me, where upon he simply hung up on me. My wife and I will move on, and find another rental property through a company that at least makes a token effort towards having some kind of integrity, and we will never, ever, sign a lease through Long Realty, and when we purchase in a few years I'll make it a point to stay far away from anything they're selling. I highly advise you to do the same. Long Realty is a shady business staffed by unrepentant liars, and I plan on telling everyone I know who intends to rent or purchase to stay far, far, away from this company. read more

I would give this horrendous company ZERO stars if Yelp would let me. They are that bad. Stay away from them at all costs. We hired them to rent out our home in Sierra Vista and it was a complete disaster. One thing after another and excuse after excuse. The worst part came after we decided to sell our home in Sierra Vista. We contacted them via phone and e-mail and stated another realtor in town would represent us and that our home was being prepared to list on the market. We would receive a weekly call from them asking if they could be our realtor for the sale. They are clearly unorganized, have poor management practices and can't keep proper records on their rentals. Their last ditch effort after we sold our home was to make up a $75 contract cancellation fee that they said they told us about. They could not produce an e-mail or letter containing this letter. What a joke. They are crooks, stay away!! Unfortunately, we learned our lesson the hard way. If they treat their active duty military clients in this manner, imagine how they must treat the rest of the population in Sierra Vista. read more

We rented out from them a couple of times. Never an issue because there was no issue. Our last rental had a water burst damage in the middle of the night. We called their emergency number. Nothing happened till 0700 a.m. the next day until Nichole (If I remember correctly) called. It took months to get the house dry and fixed!!!! I should have looked at these reviews before using this company. Edwin was incredibly hard to get a hold of. Tip: Use the other numbers in the office as if you were trying to rent and they will answer and try to help. They kept our deposit and charged for months after we moved out. I was in talks with an attorney when they finally found renters to take over my lease. I suspect this company will be under new management soon if they keep treating customers like this. read more

This is the worst property management service i have ever dealt with. I have been asking for almost a year for them to replace the microwave (never got replaced), fix the stove top (still hasn't been done) and it took almost 6 months for them to replace the roof. I really do not believe that the person that owns the house i lived in would be happy knowing that the stove top has been broken for eight months. As far as the roof leaking, i called and went to the office in person the day after the first rain of the year to let them know that the roof was leaking and 4 months later is when a roofing crew came by to take an estimate. Dont try to call them, they will answer your message only when customers go into the office to inform Long realty that their voicemail is full. When asking a question make sure to get all answers in writing with a witness to verify what they said. Long realty will change their policies in front of your face regardless what an another employee has stated not more than 10 minutes previously. This company deserves to be blacklisted by the Ft Huachuca Housing office. This company makes me wonder if the home owners that use their service are being told the truth. The truth being Long realty does not and will not maintain the property. read more

I called the office wanting to see a rental property that was on the market for at least 3 months, no answer, so I left a message. I called around 9-10 in the morning and my call was returned around 3 in the afternoon. By this time I had an appointment to see another home from another agency. The woman who I spoke to (Judy Figueroa was the name on the listing) was condescending and made it sound like she had all kinds of clients lined up to see the property and I was going to miss out. What, you think I like being treated like a little girl? She called me the next day and asked if I wanted to still see the property. The house is still on the market more than a week later and has already dropped 100 dollars in asking price. Nice move, glad this isn't my home. Keep treating potential clients like crap and you won't have any. read more

MILITARY STAY AWAY!!! Also, if you talk to a woman named Connie (the manager) I'd have a lawyer with you. I cannot prove legally that this business is rigged to profit off of the military lifestyle, but I know it is. We moved in and the place was obviously vacant for a long time. Buuut urine was left in the toilet, bee hives in the water heater (another long story) and the AC took a poo on us in the middle of summer. When I was working with the AC guy I overheard him talking to long realty trying to ask him if there's anyway the tenants were at fault. Also, they make you keep all of your essential services on 10days after you leave (Connie said everyone does that, trust me they don't). I got $50 dollars back from my deposit and trust me we are responsible adults and we did not ruin anything. Very unprofessional and if I could give them negative stars I would. We recently purchased a house that Long Reality represented both the buyer and seller and also in the same office. The property was on the market for two days and the agent we contacted showed us 3 properties all in the same neighborhood. We decided to make an offer on the spot, which was accepted. We started the inspections and all of the mortgage and insurance. Once we received the closing documents we noticed a $350 commission charge as a line item. We were told that both the buyer and seller pay this additional amount as an administrative fee. Talk about nickel and dimming their clients! There was no mention of this fee until we already invested thousands in the process and had earnest money in escrow, which we would lose if we walked from the deal. Even with our questions and obvious disapproval they refused to wave this fee. I can only imagine how the seller felt after they paid the full commission of over $22,000 and then another $350 on the sale. Very bad a slimy business practice. I will not use them to list my house when I sell !!! read more

It is my fault I do business with these fools. I should've seen the warning signs. This company is incompetent. If you do business with them you'll regret it. I do. When I moved here, I called a Zillow ad regarding the property I currently live in. A Long Realty employee showed me the home, and was perfectly friendly and professional. I decided to rent the home. That was the last positive experience I had. The person I contracted with was rude, and unable to answer basic questions. I should've backed out then. On moving in, the alarm continually went off. Not only was Long Realty unable to give me the code (for a house I live in), but they didn't seem to understand how a home alarm works. As the months have passed, I've been contacted by them several times because the owner wants some sort of service done - the day of! Who in the world would contact someone the day of service to ask if it's alright? Bottom line, this is an unprofessional company. I'm 100% sure they'll do something squirrely with my deposit. If you're coming to Fort Huachuca and hoping to rent, I hope you find a better company or rent through a private owner. read more

BUYERS BEWARE! I was initially impressed with the agent named Leah. Very attractive, very knowledgeable, and very professional. She talks the talk very well. However, she fell flat on her face trying to walk the walk and acting as my agent. We found a property. I advised her I wanted to submit an offer. Then, despite 3 days of me insisting that she prepare a written offer to the bank that could be submitted as soon as I received the required documentation from my lender, she failed to comply. Not only did she neglect to have anything prepared as she was instructed, on the day I was ready to submit, I called, texted, and emailed her countless times but she did not return a single call despite my urgent pleas. Repeated calls to the main office of Long Realty did no good either. No one in the office knew anything about it and offered no assistance. Long story short, mine would have been the winning bid but the bank never even saw it. They actually accepted a lower offer because they never received mine. They never received mine because Leah never submitted it. Something else Leah never did was to provide me with the property disclosure form which indicated the possibility of over $12K necessary to repair or replace the entire septic system. I say it again, BUYERS BEWARE. She seems nice enough, but her incompetence can be costly. It was for me. read more

Absolutely awful. The house I moved into was in poor repair from the get go and I had to put in multiple maintenance requests. Repairs were cheap "patches" and not permanent fixes. I finally decided to move out because I got tired of having repairmen at the house every month. One repairman caused an electric surge which fried my MacBook. Thank goodness I have personal property insurance. When I did submit my move-out notice they promised to send me instructions but never did, and they never responded to my follow up emails and phone calls. Finally I got fed up and just scheduled landscaping and the move out clean and then dropped off my keys. They had "forgotten" to send me my move out instructions and had "lost" my emails (which they later found). I provided receipts from my move out clean and my landscaping and now they're trying to charge another move out clean and more landscaping from my security deposit. Additionally, they claim they need to make "repairs" even though the house is in far better condition than when I moved in. Stay away, don't rent from them, and move into an apartment complex instead. read more

MILITARY BEWARE. I had been a client of Long Realty for ten years. I purchased my property through them and subsequently used them for rental management. I had few issues until recently. Apparently, a tenant (placed by them) set fire to my property and quickly abandoned it. It took months for Connie (the owner) to provide me the tenant's deposit for breaking the lease. Not to mention, she was curt, cold and short with me. You would have thought I caused the fire! After that, she let me know she did not have the staff to oversee the repairs to my property. The problem is I LIVE AND WORK OVERSEAS! She knows this. I depend on them to "manage" my property while I am away. Not jump ship at the first sign of trouble--from a tenant THEY placed, no less. I reminded her of the terms of our contract. Anyway, as I am trying to get everything finally settled with insurance company to begin repairs, I sporadically get a cancellation notice from Connie Ward. Now I am left to manage repairs and find another company from another continent. Not what I have come to expect from Long Realty. Extremely disloyal and unprofessional. I regret not checking the reviews in yelp*, if I had I would of gone elsewhere. It's been a three year nightmare and when I returned to my home the nightmare continued. I have to repeat what Mark A. reviewed below, "They failed to maintain my property as indicated in our contract. They also failed to hold tenants liable for damages that they did". This is the worst property manager I have ever dealt with. They failed to maintain my property as indicated in our contract. They also failed to hold tenants liable for damages that they did. When I moved back into my home there were nail holes throughout the house, dings and chips to the drywall, damages to the stucco, etc... This is the worst property manager ever! I was going to be in town after hours so they made arrangements for me to get the keys even tho they were closed. Several days after I moved in the AC wasn't working. The house was also not cleaned when I looked at it. I was told by an agent of Long Realty that they would have the house cleaned or I could clean the house and when I moved out they would not charge me. The agent of Long Realty said I would only have to have the carpets cleaned and the house sprayed for bugs, which I did and provided them with copies of my receipts. I decided to go ahead and clean it myself because then it would at least be to my standards. Should never have made that agreement. I was charged a BIG portion of my deposit for cleaning things that were not done when I moved in PLUS deposits to turn the electricity and the water. In fact the house was cleaner when I moved out. When I called Long Realty I was told that another agent had probably told me that and they were sorry but there was such a turn over that the agent was probably no longer with the company. I waited an hour for them to call me back. I called them back and was told the owner/agent no longer worked there. They admitted the oven and windows showed as dirty when I moved in. Though they had on paper that the oven and windows were dirty when I moved in and that was accepted by their agent, I was told I should have taken a photo. The agent never said to me I should take a photo of the oven so that I would not be charged when I moved out. The agent didn't take photos before using a portion of my deposit to clean the oven/windows and also as deposits to turn the electricity and the water. read more
