It's true, working with Teresa is a dream. She has a good eye for color and knows her small inventory quit well. She made great suggestions and offered it all for a very, very reasonable price. ok.. if you have read my reviews so far , you will note that I have hardly given a five star review to any shop/restaurant... but Long Sung Tong truly deserves it! We wanted to frame two pictures, and both these paintings were about four -six feet wide. The first place we went to was cheap petes. but they told us to go to frame-orama which is their sister company and which did custom framing. I thought with a name like frameorama, the price would be reasonable. Furthermore cheap pete gave us a 10% coupon discount. Boy was I wrong! The price was over a thousand for both! I couldn't make myself cough up the money since my painting costs us $100 for the tiger and $30 for the print! So I went to Yelp and chanced upon this review. I agree that the prices are really really good ( more than half the price.) and the workmanship is superb! Furthermore Theresa did this technique called "shadow box" on the print, that gave a really gallery look to it. The tiger picture was also framed very beautifully, and I coudn't see any fault with it at all. If you want a good price, do tell her that you were recommended from the one who has the five tigers painting. Oh, one more thing... the shop looks closed and empty when you enter. So when you go in, make sure you shout her name out loud. She is usually at the back of the shop. read more

This is a great framing store. We had 9 prints that needed to be framed. Some were Chinese some not. Theresa did an outstanding job matting and framing them. She has a great eye for color and appropriate frames. You will not be disappointed with her work and her prices are extremely fair. I had a very specific framing challenge (to the point I thought I might need to find a woodworker). I brought it into Theresa after reading all the positive reviews and she not only pulled it off, but exceeded my expectations in service, timeliness, and price. I had a 60-year old set of mahjong tiles that I wanted "double-framed" for hanging. The challenge was the tiles were mounted as a group and rigid and I wanted the inner frame to be very tight, so there was very little tolerance for her to play with. She suggested several frame options and turned it around in 3 days. Her price was well below what others would charge (based on my previous framing experiences), but don't correlate price to quality. Her workmanship, effort, and personal care are much more than I've experienced at other shops. Each individual has different requirements and I highly recommend her to be your first stop for your framing needs. read more

Highly recommend - I wouldn't go anywhere else. Teresa does a fantastic job - I've received numerous compliments on each of the ~10 pieces she's framed for me. I live 50 minutes away from her shop, and I still go to Long Sung Tong every time. Teresa is truly passionate about her work, gives a lot of time and effort and thought to each piece she frames, and takes great pride in her craftsmanship. One time she was replacing a frame for me, and when I came back to pick it up, I found that she had also replaced the old mat (which had a crease in it) with a newer, much nicer one, for free. She did it because she felt the picture needed it, which it did. And she would not accept payment for it! In general, she is very inexpensive compared to other framing stores -- in fact, sometimes I worry that she's actually losing money on some of the jobs! read more

My friends had gotten something framed at Long Sung Tong and recommended that I check it out. I took an old Asian painting from my parents' storage and had it re-framed. In 2006, I acquired a couple of Spanish bullfighting posters, one of which I had framed shortly thereafter. I recently brought in the remaining unframed poster and asked Teresa for guidance about styling, taking into consideration the framing of the other piece and the style of the unframed poster. With her help, I selected a very elegant frame and double matting that complements the piece wonderfully. I also requested that the bull fighting schedule on the bottom of the piece be cut and placed on the back of the frame and Teresa did exactly that. On top of that, the price was very reasonable. I came to this shop back in the fall to get some vintage movie posters from Japan framed. They have different standard sizes over there so nothing off the shelf. Would fit. The lady was a bit worried about how good of a job she could do since they were already wrinkled, but I told her not to worry about that and that I just wanted them framed to look as much like the posters at the movie theater as possible. She finished them earlier than her 2 week estimate and when I went in to pick them I was stunned. They looked fantastic, and exactly as I had hoped - they were even flat as can be. Three years ago, I bought a few Chinese art pieces from China and was looking for a place to frame them. The quotes I got from Michael's was over a thousand dollars for my biggest one (4ft x 7ft, it needed matting and framing) and few hundreds each for my smaller ones. It was more than I would like to pay. Then I found Teresa's Oriental Frames shop by chance and was thrilled to learn that she does great framing work for Chinese silk art for a much reasonable price (half off the price from Michael's). Teresa helped me pick out very nice frames and was attentive to my concerns. The matting she did for my big piece was flawless and complemented the painting elegantly. Not only was her service excellent, but her timing was fast. I got my pieces back in just a couple of weeks and I have been hanging them in my living room for the past two years now. They still look awesome. I was very content with her work. Recently, the glass from one of my frames (not related to the ones Teresa did) broke during traveling. I called Teresa and she cut out another glass for me in ten minutes while I was waiting. She solved my problem painlessly. i have been coming back to this place multiple times, Teresa delivers a beautiful job every single time. Most recently, I brought to her a very difficult job. I have a very old piece of silk embroidery that was made by my grandmother. It was old and fragile, and wrinkled because it has been sitting in the closet folded for many years. I took it to her and she picked the perfect background ( I think its called matte) to use to re frame the picture. She made the picture look brand new with my grandmother's antique frame.
