The interior of the shop is full of beautiful, lush plants of all different kinds. Many are tropical which are grown in Florida while others are grown locally in New Jersey. They are from individual small businesses rather than big box companies which tend to use chalky soil and poorer quality materials that lead to a worse quality plant. The attention to detail is important for happy and healthy plants! I drove in from work about 20 minutes before the shop closed and didn't want to be a bother while the shop owner was closing, but Gabby was so friendly and happy to chat through closing while she helped me pick out some plants to take home. She could easily identify all of the plants I might like to try as a new plant mom, sharing tips and tricks for keeping them healthy and the types of soil I might need for house plants vs gardening. I walked away with two cute new plants and so much helpful gardening info! As I was primarily looking at the small plants, I saw they ranged from around $17ish to mid $20 range. There are also a lot of plant hobby goods for sale like books, decor, and soil. Tiny Greenhouse also has a bunch of social events during the month like candlemaking, sound baths, pizza & herb gardening, and ceramics! Gayle Walker went out of her way to locate a specific wall tile I was in need of to complete my kitchen renovations. After purchasing the beautiful tiles in early summer, we had a delay, before or contractor was ready to place the tiles-sets, during that time, our design changed and we found ourselves in need of 10 more tiles to complete the work. I was very nervous that we would not be able to find the same ones to complete our project. When I entered the tile department in Lakewood, I was greeted by a cheerful and pleasant Gayle Walker, and she asked if I needed assistance, but I initially felt I would be able to locate the items myself and she returned to her stock work. After she saw that I was struggling to match the product by a barcode, she offered to look up the location and then retrieved those that 0902 store had in stock. I was still two tiles-sets short and she proceeded to contact other local stores and secured the items for me to pick up on my way home.
