We make the drive from Odessa here simply because of the service. The ladies that always attend us give amazing care, are attentive and offer great service to us as customers. I ordered a chocolate cake for curbside pickup, and the service was extremely disappointing. We waited 20 minutes with no update, so we called and were told it would be brought out soon. After that, we waited another 25 minutes. In total, we were there for 45 minutes just for curbside pickup. The worst part is this isn't the first time it's been about 4 times with the same slow service and poor communication. I kept giving them chances, but I'm done now. Worst service ever! Only reason it gets 2 stars is because the food was good. Came in with my husband, we ordered the mushroom appetizer, he ordered the chicken fried steak & I ordered a cup of the shrimp & lobster chowder. My soup came out in about 5 minutes, I took my time eating it because I wanted to eat with my husband but I also wanted to eat it while it was hot. I finished it & we waited another 15+ minutes & still no appetizer. When our waitress finally came to check on us, hadn't seen her since she dropped off my soup, we asked her to check on our other food. When she returned she had my husband's cfs, a few minutes later our appetizer finally showed up. Again we went a really long stretch with our waitress no where in sight & our drinks were empty. When we asked for our check our waitress stopped, talked & laughed with another employee for a couple of minutes before finally bringing me the check. I have eaten here a few times, and this is by far the best service I have had in any Midland restaurant and I have eaten at many of the restaurants throughout Midland and Odessa. I don't know what has changed but the service from the hostess, servers, bussers, expediters was so good. I worked in the food and beverage industry and even though this is a chain restaurant it was like a well oiled machine, they have it together and the food was even on point. Don't let the past reviews deter you from having dinner here, my sirloin steak was perfect along with my crispy brussel sprouts and asparagus. Kudos to Taylor my server, Paige and the whole staff, this is what a dining experience is supposed to be like. I have given this place multiple opportunities for a good meal. I've tried most all of their steaks. Service is always subpar here. The bread was hard as a rock. Even when the server swapped it out it was still so hard you couldn't even cut in to it. The salad was ok. I had thousand island dressing. The shrimp appetizer was good no issues or complaints. Then I lastly ordered the Bone In Ribeye. Their description is "Must Try" this ribeye like it's the most amazing mouth watering steak ever. Boy where they wrong. This was the worst steak I have ever eaten. Ordered it medium and it came out rare. Couldn't hardly cut in to it because of how much gristle and fat their was. My hand was tired from sawing on it. Don't go here. I walked in at 9:30 and there wasn't anyone there to seat me. Bar tender looked right at me and carried on with the people at the bar. Full disclosure it closes at 10... And I know what you're thinking, I'm a jerk for walking into a restaurant right before closing. But come on there was 30 minutes left I was by myself and was an obvious candidate to sit and eat and leave pretty quick. I stood there for about three or four minutes and turned around and left. I went up the road to Texas roadhouse and there were a bunch of cheerful happy people still willing to serve me with now just 20 minutes before closing. I was in and out of there pretty quick and left a nice tip. Food was good there. A restaurant that says it closes at 10 should serve people till 10. Unfortunately, I am not able to give this restaurant zero stars or I would have. After approaching the hostess stand and being seated without even so much as a greeting, hello or so and so will be your waitress/waiter or enjoy your meal, not one word spoken by the hostess, our waitress approached, and we ordered our appetizers and drinks and then shortly after ordered our meal. When the meal was delivered, I inquired about an additional side and the waitress snapped at me and let me know if I'd give her a minute it would be right there. Shortly later, it did arrive. So we sat there with no drinks, as the waitress had not refilled them since before we received our meal, eating our meal and waited and waited for our waitress who never returned and upon finally returning sarcastically asked " is there anything else I can get you?" To which our response was "Well, we would two to go boxes as well as this particular dessert for my birthday." After a brief hesitation, she said "well I have to check on that." I assume she meant check to see if they had it in stock. She didn't really specify. She walked away was gone for several minutes. Returned with one to go box and stated that that dessert was not included in the birthday desserts so she she couldn't serve it to us for free. That is not what we asked. We asked for that dessert period. Anyway at this point, we were so frustrated that we just leave. We paid our ticket and my mom informed her exactly how dissatisfied she was with the service and attitude in particular and she did not even attempt apologize instead mocked my mother and made it seem like she was doing us a favor by waiting on us. I have been to this particular establishment before and had excellent service from another waitress named Victoria. This particular waitress named Sara A was awful and I do not recommend her. I did not get the hostesses name but Sara was old enough to know better and has no respect for anyone. I was in the restaurant industry during college both my mother and my aunt were the restaurant industry when they were younger. We are very good tippers and I'm not sure if she just made a judgment call because we're women or if she just didn't like us from the get go but it was a very disappointing experience on our part especially considering we just left the hospital after my 14th chemo treatment and we were celebrating because I only have two left. I'm generally not keen on visiting chain-restaurant steakhouses, but ever since I tried LHS the first time I've been hooked. I've dined here a couple of times and have almost always ordered the Del Monaco. Apart from the food being excellent, our servers were incredibly attentive. Was there last night and was told it would be a 30 minute wait which was odd since the place was half empty and there were 3 girls at the host stand. We were seated within 5 minutes...cool. We sat for a while and finally a waitress and a manager came to the table and apologized because her section was suppose to have been closed. The manager offered us a free app for the mess up...cool. As we waited on our order there were two young men (bus boys?)chasing each other around the dining room with those manual sweepers who we had seen at the host stand earlier throwing toothpicks in the light fixer above the entrance. It's so sad to see businesses having to hire help that don't know how to act professional at their job. We were turned away with a table of 9 because they said they couldn't put tables together. Two weeks ago our exact same group was seated without any problems. We used to eat here all the time and I have had a ton of business lunches here but I guarantee I will never do business with them again. This was at 4:45 PM and there was only 2 other customers in the entire restaurant. The manager told my wife they wanted to make sure the staff made tips, well without customers no one makes money. We went to SaltGrass and was welcome with open arms. By the way ahole manager I left the server a 50 dollar tip on a 136 dollar ticket. We were there for 1 hour. read more

Salad was a bit wilted with several brown spots and served with 5 servings of croutons on top. The gentleman at the table next to us had to send his steak back and he waited at least another 15-20 minutes for it to return. He also found a chunk of chicken tender in his mashed potatoes. The manager came to speak to us: he was completely deflated. It certainly seemed like he'd been through the wringer fielding the number of complaints he must get. They did discount our ticket, though I do think a better remedy would have been to comp the $22 steak that was inedible. We won't return. read more
