There is no customer service from the manager who worked there in the morning. She hung up on me and refused to give me her name when I called back. She insisted that alcohol needed to be over $12 a bottle before you got the 10% discount on a purchase of four bottles. Shouldn't accompany policy be the same for each location. It does not state that anywhere on the pricing, I went to the store near Stadium Park and got my purchase with the correct pricing. As my usual spot on Ward Ave sadly has permanently closed my prescription that I usually have filled there had to find another location and suggested this Long's on South King St across McKinley HS is a nice and easily accessible location with access from both South King and Young Street along with a drive thru pharmacy with lots of free parking it's a great location. The staff there are very nice and friendly as they knew my prescription has been transferred and changed as well and verified with me the current dosage that's prescribe to me very nice spot to get it done along with picking up some essentials. CVS is supposedly a pharmacy. I don't go to buy Kleenex or milk which I can get at Safeway or Times, but to get prescriptions filled or to pick them up. Although the 1050 King St location is open until midnight, the pharmacy closes at 9:00. Except on holidays (apparently state and federal) when it closes at 6:00. It also is no longer possible to talk to the pharmacy or anyone at Longs, so if you have a question you have to physically go to the store location. How convenient. read more

The morning crew provides the best customer service. Specifically the team before 10 AM. Passport photos done here for $20. You can get printed and electronic copies if you need. The clerk allows you to check your photos before proceeding. Very quick. Less than 10 minutes by the time I was checking out. No medication disposal box at this location. Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located across from McKinley High School, this Longs Drugs Store (aka CVS on the mainland) has free parking and a drive-through pharmacy. I used my GPS and found out that there's an entrance from Young Street, too! When I entered the clean, brightly lit, air-conditioned store, I was immediately greeted in a cheerful manner! I whispered to the kind staff that I needed to use the restroom... LOL! She courteously escorted me to the employee restroom... thank you so much! I was actually in a rush to get to an appointment, so I quickly looked around at my favorite things: bunnies, snacks, greeting cards, sale items (they thoughtfully post the weekly ad) and Hello Kitty cosmetics... and drove off... I'll have to admit I don't shop at this particular Longs Drugs location to much, but when I am looking for something that is popular & "on sale", I seem to get pretty lucky when I go to this particular location that is right across the street from McKinley High School. Lots of parking available, as the parking lot surrounds the entire building. You can enter the parking lot from two streets, either from - Young Street or S. King Street. The only downfall about coming here is that there are quite a bit of "shady characters" who hang out on the sidewalks on the backside of the building, and I sometimes see them walking through the parking lot scoping out the cars. Aside from that, it's your typical Longs Drugs store. I like Longs, and they promote & carry a lot of local products, even if Longs Drugs is mainland owned. Longs Drugs has pretty much intergraded themselves within the local community, as they've been in the islands for ages. Yesterday, I came here to buy some cold cut meats that were on sale. Found what I was looking for, as I picked up several packs of smoked turkey breast cold cuts so I could make a few sandwiches for myself at lunch. Just visited the CVS/Longs Drugs store location at 1030 S King Street. The store personnel all greeted me as I entered this store. Would like to give a shoutout to the daytime manager Chris. He was very helpful, receptive and personable. While using the self checkout machine, I had experienced a problem. The machine wasn't responsive in registering the coins that I had inserted. Explained my respective problem to Chris. After bringing this to his attention, Chris expertly resolved my situation. Have known Chris for many years now. Love coming to this Longs! I usually come here when I'm in town because it is close to work. Stopped in for some greeting cards which have risen in prices. I love that the CVS app had a $5 off coupon if I bought $20 worth of cards which turned out because I need quite a few. The employees here are very friendly and even know me by name because I go there so often. They are always helpful and very welcoming. They are usually stocked with items and have great sales especially when it's end of the season. The prices are affordable and when they have value book, it's even better although they do have a sale every Sunday. I was happy that I found what I needed and was able to get in and out quickly. read more

There's one in just about everyone's neighborhood.  Everyday essentials, ExtraCare card, extrabucks, and I love they have a drive-thru to pickup your Rx's. Lots of ample parking, It's only missing a self checkout aisle which I'm use to seeing at other CVS stores. This is an updated review of this Longs location specifically for the pharmacy. Things have changed a lot since I did my last review one year ago. I'm not sure if they're shortstaffed, as when I was here last year I had great service from the pharmacy, Unfortunately this is no longer the case. Since my father no longer drives, I typically have to pick up all his medications for him. He asked that I picked them up at this Longs Drugs. The first time dropping off a prescription I was told it would take an hour to fill it. I didn't want to have to come back, so I just shopped around in Longs until the prescription was ready. The second time I needed to pick up prescriptions I dropped off the prescription, ran some other errands then came back to pick it up. This time, they could not find the medication. They could see it was in the system and that it was ready, but the pharmacy tech could not find it. He looked all over in multiple bins more than one time. Then he looked in the computer again, then asked somebody for help, and then eventually found it in the original bin while I waited at the cash register for 15 minutes. I'm not sure why they're so disorganized that they can't find patients prescriptions! The third time I came to pick up my dad's medication, his physician actually called it in at 8:30 AM. At 3 PM I went to go pick it up and lo and behold it wasn't even ready. I informed them that it was called in at 8:30 AM 6 1/2 hours ago, but apparently they didn't even work on the prescription. I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to fill it. Overall very in efficient customer service. I thought for sure if the prescription was called in and I waited multiple hours that it would be ready but it wasn't. The only place that has worse service at the pharmacy is the Longs Manoa. read more

When there's good deals in their Midweek ads I like to shop at this location. They're always stocked up with inventory. Employees are always friendly greeting customers when entering and acknowledging when we leave. Lines are usually long at the manned registers. Self-checkout runs pretty smooth. Parking is never an issue. They have a decent sized parking lot and plenty of street stalls available. read more

Wow, amazing customer service! Maybe it's early morning and they all started on their best foot forward? Not only was I greeted and warmly welcomed when I set foot in the door, the nearest cashier saw me using the coupon kiosk and encouraged me to "use my knuckles" to enter my phone number. And just as she stated, the screen worked great that way (didn't like my pointer finger I guess). The cosmetic aisle is plentiful, with lots of options to choose from. They always have some kind of sale, so if you're not particular to a brand, just spot the yellow sale tags to narrow down your search. The great thing about loyalty programs, is the reward after you spend so much. I don't know what it takes to get five free dollars but hey, if it means I get mascara on sale AND I can use my reward with "no fine print" then badda bing, it's done! read more

Located across of McKinley Hih school, friendly, clean store! When I walked into the store today, an employee greeted me. As I walked the aisles and looked for this week's deals, I was asked if I was finding everything okay. When I stood in line to pay for my things, the cashier noticed my fire fighter pendant and complimented me. Attentive, courteous and respectful employees are a reflection of leadership and management! Hats off to the store manager of this location! Clean and well-stocked shelves and a very welcoming store! Convenient Longs Drugs (CVS) location that is right across the street from McKinley High School. You can gain entry to this Long from both King Street and Young Street. They have a drive through pharmacy! This is where I go to get my prescriptions or when I need something on my way home from work. There is always parking, usually shaded. Shopping at Longs, you always get pretty good prices. If you are ever sick with the cold or flu, they carry Vicks tissues. If you don't know what these are, you need to discover them. It's tissues for your nose that has lotion and Vicks in them! Totally helps keep your nose from getting raw and helps clear your sinuses with the menthol in them. Life changing / game changer! So one thing that I absolutely hate. Their damn receipts that are 5' long with coupons that you usually won't use and just throw away. Talk about waste of paper! CVS, please stop the madness! I put Maybe because the inside pharmacy is ok, but I'm never using the drive thru again. I got some bossy cranky girl demanding things. it was windy so I didn't leave the money in the drawer while she left it open and apparently walked away. I guess it emboldens them when they're not face to face with the customer. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because she basically did her job. had she run her mouth at me i would give 1 star and would have complained to corporate. it's hard to find employees and the mgmt is probably the same. I worked in customer service and therefore am not understanding with kids like this. the landscape in there sure changed drastically in the last couple of decades. sad. read more

Highly recommended. Longs (or CVS) is the one stop shop for locals in Hawaii. With numerous competition now from other stores, Longs has carved a nice niche into the community. You can get your prescription drugs, foods, water, medicines, candies, chips, auto needs, and more all here at Longs. A weekly ad advertises the weekly specials in the Sunday paper or you can see it online. Always got good deals in the weekly ads. Staff is always helpful and courteous. I am so angry that I could yell. I was just at Longs this morning to pick up my meds. One of the meds had a co pay of $29.00 so I asked the tech to double check it. I know that the copay is wrong cause this happens every time i pick up this med. He comes back and insisted that it was correct. I asked him to check my previous pick up and it should be $10.00. He came back and said that it was submitted wrong, and he would try to fix it. I asked to see a manager. This is where it goes downhill. I expressed my frustration and requested that she annotate the records to reflect the correct procedures so that i don't go through this exercise again. Her attitude was yeah yeah ok. I am 69 years old and I'm wondering how many elderly costumers does CVS scam on their meds because they submitted it wrong. For us old folks $29.90 is a big difference from $10.00. The store is a bit smaller than some in this chain. Still, I love shopping at this store as the staff is super helpful. And yes, the pharmacy is not open 24hours a day tho they are open until 9pm. The staff at this pharmacy is top notch. They are efficient and have even helped to straighten out confusion started at other sister stores. And with a drive through pharmacy, on days when it is raining cats and dogs like today, most convenient. The really nice pharmacist at window even shouted out, as I started to drive away, "remember to put your window up!" ...now how is that for great service!?! Located on S. King street, just across McKinley High School. Be sure to drive in far left lane on approach. The entry to store is easy to miss between parked cars. We went here to get our covid tests. We set up an appointment and never had to wait. The lady behind the window was very patient and explained what we needed to do very well. This was our second time going there for a covid test. This location does not have the rapid test but it gives you comfort since you are in your vehicle and not exposed to others who are potentially infected with covid. read more

Review based on the pharmacy service specifically for Covid testing. I grabbed the next available spot for a Covid test. When I arrived, there are no clear signs where to go to take the test. However, per the instructions in the email, it states to stay in your vehicle and look for clearly marked signs for testing. Well, when you turn the corner towards the pharmacy, you're greeted by a long line of cars and a sign that is probably blocked by the cars in line. The sign says "testing in left lane". Why do you put testing in the same line as the pharmacy pick up? Why ask for an appointment if you're gonna miss your time because you're waiting in a drive thru line ? Get your ducks in a row CVS. Finally after numerous phone calls and being transferred to various personnel, they finally told me they couldn't find my results and nothing was notated. This Longs WAS my go to pharmacy. Yesterday they did me so wrong I had to write corporate. Ever since they opened that store, I would get all my Rx filled there. Now being on Medicare, my maintainance med get mailed and controlled meds from them. I was prescribed a medication for cancer, so I called to see if they had it. First call, pharmacy picked up and immediately hung up. Second time put me on hold, a few minutes later, hung up on me again. I talked to the manager and was told they don't have any and can't get it. Well today I found a source that have the medication I need in warehouse. Can fill in 2 days. That right, LONGS AINA HINA. They all have the same supplier. What store 1081 showed was pure laziness, lack of concern and are there for a paycheck. Having cancer and they could care less. This review is for the PHARMACY. First of all, do yourself a favor and have your pcp or doctor send your prescription to another pharmacy. What a waste of time! The pharmacy tech, Randa B., was not nice even in the slightest way. You would think that someone who'd work in healthcare would have more manners but nope. I guess that's not true. After waiting for 20 monutes in line to get my Rx she tells me that they have to reapply my insurance and to drive around and come back in 10 minutes. I went back 5 mins in since no one was in line and she again spoke on the phone that I would need to move - I told her I would if someone comes. No one did. She comes back 10 mins on the dot (yay!) to tell me that I would need to apply my secondary insurance myself becuase their system stopped working - very convenient. After all of that waiting, there I was with no resolution. In the end, I would have to do it myself. Could have said that in the beginning! ‍ Welp. Thanks for reading. Horrible service, cashier Patricia M kept saying red flag so she has to check and kept insisting I didn't ring up a bottle of soda, even after showing it to her on the screen At this store, you can't replace cashiers with self-check outs. There's too many homeless in the area and sales associate is distrusting of everyone. The was a very unpleasant shopping experience.
