The second CVS-owned Longs Drugs that I stopped into during our 4 island cruise from Long Beach, this Longs Drugs opened in 2015 in the space formerly occupied by a Planet Holiday. It definitely shows...it's a large store with a small footprint on the bottom floor, and most inventory on the top floor accessible via escalators. It was well stocked, and plenty of employees (can't remember the last time at a CVS I was asked if I needed help). Located in the Waikiki strip - This is a 2 story longs drugs store with tons of items to offer besides RX's. They offer tons of souvenirs as well. Customer service here lacks in the Pharmacy dept. I came in to have some refills for pen insulin needles and I was informed by my mail order pharmacy that I can refill items while on vacation based on my coverage. The pharmacy tech first stated that she could not get a hold of the pharmacy that the number I gave here was wrong etc - I then told her I just spoke to someone with the same number and I can place them on speaker phone if I call again. She then stated she will call again. This time she didn't give me an excuse and she did speak to someone and that they could not refill my pen needles because the rep stated I have no records of such refills on my account. I then told her hmmmm thats interesting because the agent I spoke to said that I was refilled of such few months ago and they have a record of that. So she spoke to an agent again and this time they cant do a refill because they don't have it until this and that and the one at King St can refill it. I was over it then. I felt she kept giving me the run around. The pharmacy here sucks based on what I have experienced. read more

Longs drugs really came in clutch. I realized we had not found our distilled waters for our CPAP's. I ran out about 10:30 PM, hoping to find some. I saw that Longs was open 24 hours. I was lucky enough to pick up the last bottle on the shelf. I am so happy it's only a couple blocks from where we are staying this week. They are part of the CVS chain. read more

Extremely frustrating experience. I left my doctor's appointment and went directly to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for an illness I've been dealing with for weeks. I arrived only a few minutes before the pharmacy's break, but was told there wasn't enough time to fill the prescription and that I would need to come back later. What was disappointing wasn't just the delay--it was the complete lack of concern for the situation. I explained that I rely on Uber for transportation and would have to pay for another ride just to return and pick up medication that had already been prescribed. There was no effort to offer a solution, no flexibility, and no empathy. When someone is sick and seeking treatment, basic compassion goes a long way. Instead, I was left feeling like my circumstances didn't matter at all. This pharmacy is an absolute joke, and this is coming from a pharmacist who has practiced for 31 years. If you have an emergency, then good luck!!! We needed an inhaler asap and the pharmacist could have cared less. "We haven't checked our messages since this morning" said the pharmacist and it was 4:30 in the afternoon. Needless to say, that after 24 hours of both a phoned in and electronic prescription for the same medication that nothing was ready. If the scenario was reversed, I would have done everything in my power (as a pharmacist) to ensure that the patient gets their medication ASAP rather than giving a snobbish excuse for their lack of work ethic. read more

First time we stopped here! Very close to our resort and they have just about everything you need and reasonable prices.

It is like Longs Drugs for tourists situated in downtown Waikiki. Nothing special except that it serves its purpose to grab your immediate necessities if you are around the area. Two levels to roam around. 1st level usually easy on-the-go stuffs like cold drinks and small treats mostly on displayed. Only self-checkout available. 2nd level is where the beauty supplies, travel needs, vitamins, and souvenirs situated. It's not a lot but they are pretty good on stocking the needs you think a traveler alike will need throughout their stay in Waikiki. Covid-19 vaccine is also available in here by appointment. Not a very big store but has important necessities in a middle-sized 2-story building. Overall it is a congested place due to the small space. I did not see any accessible elevator to take the stroller to the 2nd floor. The staff was there all around and helpful too on asking. The ground floor is very small and like a just entrance to go to the 2nd floor. Overall I got what we went for and good to have some medical shop when in need. read more

It's located in Waikiki beach walk area. Two floor location for all our travel and beach essentials. There are even tourist gifts too. We were able to come here for our beverages, sunscreen, toiletry items. Definitely shelves of local Hawaiian coffees and candies. read more

Greatly appreciated pharmacist today! I've been going to the pharmacy for more than eight years and today I had an issue with my doctors new staff. They sent my prescription to another pharmacy which created an issue with getting my prescriptions stating it's too early to fill. This drug store is conveniently located in the downtown Waikiki area. It has two floors. They put staples like sunscreen and cold beverages on the first level for easy access. The employee who helped me find what I was looking for was super friendly and chatty. I was surprised that they only had two options for bug spray: a travel size botanical spray and a larger bottle with deet. Given all the incredible hikes and outdoor activities on the island, I would've expected a bit more variety. Prices seemed a bit high. Checkout was fast. read more

My previous trip to HNL was in June 2022. Before I left the mainland, TSA confiscated my toothpaste, shampoo and sun block. Based on that experience, on this trip, I decided not to bring any toiletries with me to the airport. I would wait and buy them when I arrived in Waikiki. This store was across the street from my hotel. After checking in, I purchased all of my toiletries; beverages; and a few gifts and postcards. It feels weird to give a Longs Drugs four stars but this place is a total lifesaver because of its location and wide variety of items at the store. The store has two levels with lots of different items from microwaveable food to ready-to-eat snacks to medications to souvenirs. It's located conveniently close to lots of the main hotels in Waikiki and super helpful if you need some emergency supplies. read more

Partnered with CVS, Longs Drugs is a 24-hour drugstore located in walking distance to Hilton Village. The first floor is more like a 7-11 convenient store. There is an elevator to the 2nd floor where most of merchandise are stored. It is very much like Beauty and Health department at Target. It also has self-checkout lines accept CVS care cards. I visited the store several time during our vacation because hubby caught a nasty cold. I was very please to have a drug store close-by. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. read more

I come here early morning before heading to work to get some items. Love the Mr. Brown Coffee. Store is pretty clean. Some items would be out of stock due to late shipment. Some shady characters outside near the Bank of Hawaii area and smoking section. The graveyard team is nice and helpful. Blonde girl with glasses (Tish) is very attentive and assisted me during check out. She was nice enough to help me pick out an umbrella during the rainy season. She showed me each one. Drug store in Waikiki, inside Bank of Hawaii Waikiki Center. Basically the same as ABC stores except this place has a pharmacy. Even for OTC drugs, Longs is better--larger selection, lower prices. Since it's in Waikiki, it's not surprising that they have lots of souvenir-type products. read more

Long's is a fun place to browse and look for something to buy. As for snack items , souvenirs and health items , they have it all. Their prices are very reasonable and wide variety. Going without a shopping list , I just search for something to buy. Today , I discovered Lychee Gummy Candy. I'm a fan of Lychee and this a brand that I wasn't not familiar with. One of my girlfriends needed some drugs. (Of the legal kind of course!) Since we were heading back to our Airbnb from a late lunch, we decided to drop by Longs. We stopped by on Thursday, February 28th around 5:15pm. She needed some Nexium, so we headed upstairs to where all the over the counter medicine was. Depending on the quantity and form, the prices ranged from $12.99 for 14 count clear minis and capsules to $31.49 for 42 count tablets and capsules. I think we ended up buying the larger size as it was a better deal? I can't recall, but they also had 28 count capsules for $23.79. So it was either that one or the 42 count. This location is a pretty good size. Since it's 2 stories, they have a decent amount of inventory. We didn't buy anything else here, but I think the roommate may have looked at the red bull pricing. (He needs his caffeine.) We didn't end up buying the energy drink here, so I'm guessing it was on the pricier side. Decent Longs if you need some medication in this part of Waikiki. read more

If you need anything done pharmacy wise don't go here!!! They barely know what they're doing they leave a customer service person in the pharmacy area. I've never in my life waited 30 minutes just to drop a script off. I sat at the register with my prescription in front of the customer service rep watching him figure out how to even put the script in. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable especially coming from someone in the medical field. I can't recommend this place. They get a lot of automatic business because they are located in a tourist area, and the tourists don't know any better than to go here. They simply don't care whether your needs are taken care of, because there are 20 tourists in line behind you who will put up with their incompetence and lack of integrity. Go to a different location, like Ala Moana, and you'll get service that you have come to expect from a CVS/Longs. They know they can do whatever they want without consequences, because most customers will be gone home next week. Don't expect them to call you back when you leave a message. Don't expect them to follow up on anything unless you ride their tail to get things done. read more

Staff is lazy, and doesn't want to take new patients. this is absurd, refusing to see patients when availability is there.. This store is located in the Bank of Hawaii-Waikiki building. They offer validated parking in the basement. Turn right on Beachwalk, and then take first left down the ramp. The store occupies two floors. The Minute Medical Clinic is on the 2nd Floor. They offer ear cleaning and medical treatment. Dr. Seichi assisted my father with his ear cleaning. We had an appointment, but they take walk ins. However, it is easy to book an appointment with the CVS app, and I would highly recommend. I had difficulty finding an appointment in the corridor between Pearlridge to Kapahulu, but was able to schedule a mid day appointment the same day. The staff was friendly and check in was easy. Dr. Seichi speaks fluent English and was very caring. He explained everything he was about to do, and showed us what he was able to remove. He was careful to avoid being forceful with cleaning and my elderly father felt he did a good job. If we need medical treatment again, we would drive to Waikiki and visit this location again. Dr. Seichi is a caring and thoughtful physician, and access to the store is easy. read more

Who knew that a Longs Drugs store could be THIS glamourous? Hell, who even knew that they still existed these days? All of the Longs Drugs in my hood were taken over by CVS. Not that I don't like CVS, but I grew up going to Longs. I was shocked to see a location right on the main strip! Of course, I forgot to pack some of the main essentials for my trip which I'm unfortunately notorious for. So, off I went to Long Drugs! And daaaayum... you would of thought that this was a brand spankin' new store! Never have I ever seen a drugstore this clean and this bright. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a "Maholo" from every angle! I mean... heartwarming customer service and bright smiles everywhere that I turned! This Longs has an upstairs and downstairs area which is super organized. You'll find most of the food items, luggage, and souvenirs downstairs while their beauty, pharmacy, and alcohol section is located upstairs. I went the escalator to the toiletry section to pick up a few items. I couldn't resist taking a peek at their beauty section. Their beauty section is HUGE and the amount of selections are wild! They even have sample counters where you can try some of the displayed beauty products. This is also an excellent spot to gather souvenirs for a decent price! They have a wide variety of hats, shirts, and refrigerator magnets. I was surprised at their wine selection too. Not that I should have even been looking in that section, but um... ya know. I'm a wino, so what'd you expect?! They'll let you use your CVS card to receive points and discounts here, but you might need to have the physical card since the phone number might not work if you're not a Hawaii resident. And one of the best elements of them all: they're open 24/7! All day, everyday bay-bay! Loved being able to stop by this Long Drugs Store and I would stop by again and again if I lived on the island. read more

Customer service at the pharmacy is very rude. One of the workers rolled their eyes at me after we accidentally walked up to the counter. I apologized up and down and still gave me a dirty look and rolled her eyes. Made me feel great when we already were sick on our honeymoon. The lady was dressed in blue scrubs. My go-to Longs location is the one at Ala Moana Shopping Center. But it is nice to have this 24 hours Longs location on the northern end of Kalakaua in Waikiki between Lewers and Beachwalk. This location is two levels with refrigerated drinks, snacks, souvenirs and smaller macadamia nut packages and cashiers on the main level. You take the escalators up to the second floor where the majority of the store's departments are located. This location doesn't carry items I buy during my Hawaii visit, such as Hawaiian Natural Tea and CookKwee's Maui cookies. But they do have a good selection of the macadamia nuts. But overall, their selections is more limited than Ala Moana since it is a smaller store. The prices here are lower than the three letter alphabet stores all over the area. I came by to get a four pack of Maui Brewing's Coconut Hiwa for a party at a great price. Remember that if you're from the mainland, you can use your CVS ExtraCare card for the sales prices, your discounts coupons and reward bucks. Otherwise, sign up for the ExtraCare card at the register. During my visits this trip, the Up escalator was out of order and you had to use the elevator to the left of the entrance to get to the second floor. read more

Back in the day, my plug was named Long. He was reliable and always had that fire, none of that reggie shwag. Because of that, Longs Drugs gets a 5 from me, before I even set foot in the place. Also, I went to the minute clinic and the beautiful, very nice young lady there who helped me was awesome, patient, and would've gotten hit on by me if I wasn't there to get my ears cleaned. But for real the minute clinic was mad convenient and I got to hangout with some old folks in the waiting area laughing at some kid going wild while getting some shot in the arm. For real, the services they offer there are great. Bonus: they carry banana pancake mix, I'm all about that. EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot, there's a Ramen place, a gun shop, and a porn store all within like 100 feet around the area. It's fuckin great! read more
