Got some great drinks and okay food from this Joliet bar. It happens to be one of the many sports themed ones around here. Longshots has plenty of TVs for watching games or whatever. A simple menu of greasy classics. The prices are cheap and that's the best thing. Certainly a bigger place than expected. It's located in a strip plaza but takes up a large portion of it. The bar goes way back when you get inside and there's plenty of tables. In the front are the games. You can play pool or slots. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail. They also have a few specials. It's about $5 to get an appetizer. We got the Chips And Salsa. A lot of the menu is meaty. They have things like frozen pizzas but also pastas. Has enough room for large groups. It's big! There is a large horse shoe bar, an area with pool tables and extra seating, a center section with low tops and high tops and a small stage in one corner. There are some TV's, mostly at bar. The tv's are small compared to what a lot of places have nowadays. A few in the area with pool tables. Music is decent. Nothing exceptional, but low enough for conversation. We were here last night and tonight. Bartender last night (don't remember her name) was very personable and took time to introduce herself and chat. Tonight, different girl and not so much. Decent beer selection. Mixed drinks poured right. Good menu with variety: salads, pizza, nachos, sandwiches, calzone, wings etc. We ordered nachos and a calzone. Our food took awhile, but probably because of calzone. On my quest to find the best bar in Joliet, I stumbled upon this bar. I enjoyed this place because it had a positive vibe. There's tons of pool tables and games. Bathrooms are clean and the lighting is great to say the least. This bar has easy access finding parking as well as accessing the bar whether you're coming east or westbound on Jefferson. This bar is open until 3 am Friday and Saturday night. The bar has a great food menu too but unfortunately the kitchen was closed. Bartenders are friendly. Alcohol prices are moderate. People here are by far the friendliest of all the bars I've visited in joliet. Definitely would come back. One of the better bars in joliet. read more

Lots of tv's, good drink specials. Been here before. Seemed decent enough. Nice place to meet friends. However, on my last visit (during first Hawks/Lightning Stanley Cup Playoff), the bar tenders (2 blondes) left a bit to be desired. They spend a lot of time disappearing together (about 15-20 minutes with no one behind the bar). Not the way you operate a business. When I went outside they were texting and smoking. I smoke too, that's fine, but seriously. One at a time. This isn't the high school bathroom. No one manning the bar (one waitress on the floor was trying to pick up their slack), and there were at least 15 people sitting at the bar. Not an empty place. Wasn't at closing time. Had to ask the bar back to get them so I could pay my tab, get beer, etc. Otherwise, I would rate this place a 3-4. I might come back, but will walk out if the service hasn't improved. read more

I love this place. They have specials every day, including 1/2 price appetizers and cheap beer. (Saturday only $10 buckets, but still a good deal). At the worst, it's $2 for a domestic beer. That's damn good, for a place with a ton of TVs, a huge bar, and pool tables. It's close to where I live, so I've tried most of the menu, and almost all of it is not just good, but delicious. Top recommendations: buffalo wings, $2 burgers (Wednesday and Thursday), cheese sticks, and anything off the Mexican menu. I'll admit service can be slower during big sports events. But I saw what the last person said about not being welcome if you're over 24. Well, I'm 30, and always feel welcome. I've made friends with bartenders and some of the regulars. And there are regulars here of all ages. It's definitely a sports bar, with occasional events worth checking out. Bathrooms are super nice. read more

No idea where that guy is getting that, Joliet bars are all pretty dive-y. It is basically a big pool hall with tv's that typically have sports on. They have a decent selection of drinks(this is not a brewery don't expect it to be). In my experience the other customers are just average Joes. I'm 30, rotund, and bearded and I fit right in with the scene. The food was not bad and the pizza was great. I have been a weekly visitor to Longshots for several years now. Have put up with LOUSY service since my early visits to the bar. Also have put up with poor timing on food delivery. My last order was chicken wings, food served cold to me. I'm not kidding when i touched the wings they weren't barely warm. Of course the server dropped and left. Yesterday I asked 3 people to put on Bellator Mix Martial fights, it was on free TV., 1st person said I will talk to mgr., never heard from her on topic again.2nd person was the mgr. I don't know if we get that channel , no Bellator. 3rd person said not sure if we have on our plan. Well there is one way to find out someone nerds to check. She didnt do it. The bar has excellent service and the atmosphere is good. The service is very good, but there is not a good craft beer selection. Overall I would suggest the bar to anyone who likes to play bar games such as pool and darts. Also there is an abundance of TVs witch play non stop sports which is great. If you play pool this is a 5 star place. They have 8 or 9 tables that play great and a pro shop. Their food is really good especially the nachos. The wait staff and customer service is very very poor. You will wait for a long time before someone even comes over to take your order, and when they finally do, they don't come back around at all to check on you. Eventually you will have to go to the bar to get what you made need and to pay your bill. If you want something done you'll have to get it yourself. read more

I would have given them five stars if I could have played pool with my husband. All the tables were taken by the league. It would be nice if they could leave a table or two open for customers. The layout was weird but it does seem like they are still working on it. I was worried about a former review saying they give you bad service unless you are under 24. We did not have any issues as both my hubby and I are both in our 40's. I loved the food and the service was great! The other thing I like was the touchscreen game.
