I absolutely loved this venue and hope to throw more events in the future! In June of 2024, I had the pleasure of holding a 20th birthday party in the barn at the Longswamp Bed and Breakfast. The host was incredibly communicative and helpful when it came to planning the date, suggesting ideas, arranging the space, and ensuring my guests felt welcome and comfortable. Throughout the entire event, the host checked in on how we were doing, without hovering or being too overbearing. Not only was the host kind, the venue itself is beautiful! I did bring a variety of decorations for my party, but the natural scenery brought a level of charm that only the space could provide! We had our wedding at Longswamp B&B this past April and it was such a wonderful experience working with Amy and Keri. The property was beautiful and our family/friends couldn't stop commenting on the beauty of the indoor barn space. It was perfect for our wedding of 90-people. The barn is spacious and had ample room for our tables, DJ, dance floor, and interactive tables. They were flexible with us for set-up time on the Friday before and helped make sure we were all set the month of the wedding. My husband and I held our wedding reception here.. even though it rained we had the barn all decorated and everything was amazing. It was a beautiful place, and excellent service by Amy. Everything was taken care of, and everyone was so friendly. We stayed in the lower barn suite that night and it was so cozy.. we woke up to a homemade breakfast in a picnic basket. 10/10 recommend this venue!! read more

We had our wedding there 5/18/24 and all of our guests couldn't stop saying how beautiful it was! I loved how we could pick what vendors we wanted to use (we checked out another venue that charged $1000 if you didn't use one of their 3 caterers). We had mission bbq catering and used TM Weddings for photography/videography and both I highly recommend. They are very responsive and always answered all my random questions even if I sent 4 emails a day. I stayed the night before with my bridesmaids and in the morning we got breakfast at our door which was super nice! We also brought our own alcohol which was great because we could choose the beers we wanted. We used the bartenders the venue recommended and they were great with helpings us figure out how much to buy and even let us do signature drinks. I was slightly worried about our guest count being 100 people and fitting in the barn but everyone fit great and we still had a dance floor. We had our ceremony by the gazebo, cocktail hour on the patio, and reception in the barn. I loved the area us girls were able to get ready in and the guys got ready at a hotel nearby they stayed the night before but were able to put the flowers on and finish getting ready in the lower suite. The Longswamp B&B team was instrumental in making our event a success, as I tried to plan the whole thing while living 3 hours away. They maintained frequent communication, responded quickly to questions and needs, were flexible and made great suggestion. The venue (the barn) can accommodate a wide range of styles - we had a very casual family event & didn't feel like we were in a space just for weddings. For us, being able to use the grounds outside for bored children to play football was a godsend! Wonderful time had by all. read more

In town from California to work at a cycling event I chose to stay at this gem. A true cyclist spot to relax in a tranquil setting after your adventure on the trail or roads. This is a beautiful property. I enjoyed the made to order breakfast and the glass of wine I was treated too as walking through the door upon my visit. Good people. I can't say enough good things about this place, and I'm absolutely stunned that I'm the first yelp reviewer, but pleased to do it. My fiancé and I have been coming for our anniversary trip for 4 years now. From our first stay, we have always felt very welcome and comfortable here. We always stay in the lower cottage, which is a large space that could easily accommodate a third person if you were traveling with a group. There are 2 large rooms (one with a fireplace; one with a tv), a bathroom, and a kitchenette. This particular space is very cool; it's the first floor of what I believe was once the local post office. If you, like me, love old buildings with tons of bizarre features (like a staircase that runs directly into a blank wall), you will LOVE this place. The property, consisting of the main house, the cottage building, and a large barn, is just beautiful. It's situated on a sizable lot, with a lovely lawn and a very comfy-looking patio. We always visit in winter, but during spring and summer, I'm sure this is an absolutely perfect place to relax and just enjoy a good book, a drink, or a friendly conversation. The accommodations themselves are very nice. The rooms are homey, nicely decorated, and very warm. Everything is very clean and we LOVE having a fireplace! The breakfast is always amazing, and is served in courses consisting of a bread (always some kind of awesome muffin, moist sweetbread, or other treat), followed by fresh fruit (I don't know where they get such good fruit in the middle of winter, but it's always excellent), then a main course. We've had many diverse meals here, including a delectably indulgent baked French toast, eggs with home fries, and maple sugar bacon, about which my fiancé occasionally raves at intervals throughout the rest of the year. Which brings me to my next point... I don't eat pork. We usually call to remind the owners, JoAnn and John, a couple days ahead of time, but this year we forgot. Not to worry... They remembered from last year, and had turkey sausage on hand for me. JoAnn and John are two of the nicest, most down to earth people you could ever hope to meet. They work very hard to take the best possible care of their guests, and it shows. From their knowledge of area restaurants and attractions, to asking about how my work is going, they're a model of how to treat guests. We just left, and we already can't wait to come back next year! read more

We are going this weekend for our 2nd annual trip. Found it last year and so glad we did! The whole place is gorgeous and the inn keepers are wonderful...food is amazing too! I don't like eggs so they made special arrangements for me which I thought was very kind. Highly recommend! read more
