We just recently had our Fall wedding (early October) at Monterre, and the scenery was breathtaking. The entire day, our guests were complimenting the fall foliage in the vineyard. We're so excited to get back our professional wedding pictures, many of which were taken directly in the middle of the vineyard. The large low-hanging branch tree is an amazing location on the property for your ceremony! In terms of the food, almost all our guests said the entire day (cocktail-hour hors d'oeuvres, entrees and wedding cake) provided some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Personal recommendations would be the braised beef, lump crab cake and vegetarian-option gnocchi. All delicious! Finally, know that when you choose to have your special day at Monterre Vineyards, you're in the hands of true professionals in Matt, Amy, Kevin and the entire staff of cooks, bartenders and servers. From the day we met them until our final correspondence the day after our wedding, the staff gave us their full attention and ensured that our wedding was an unforgettable, beautiful event. We would rate Monterre Vineyards an A+/5 Stars, and would strongly recommend them to any prospective clients!!

I suppose if it was raining they would have moved the ceremony to the outside covered area, but we were lucky with great weather. The only awkward distraction during the ceremony was somebody taking shooting practice out in the distance which echoed in the air. The facility is a beautiful old three-story building. There's a little waterfall running along side it, and some cute Pennsylvania charm. The ground level has a beer wall which includes multiple taps and you sign out a little fob that allows you to keep track of what you ordered. Upstairs in the main level is perfect for small weddings probably no more than 75 people. We had a lot of room in the middle so we could dance. There's a mezzanine above it with more seating areas. I believe they are open regularly for the beer wall, and in fact there were some locals there. But the rest of the place was not like a typical restaurant. It must just be private events. For accessibility, was a golf cart used to take some folks from the grass up to the top floor through the parking lot. because I was at a wedding, the food was through a private caterer. But they had their own beer and a couple wines on the wall downstairs that are there all the time and that was pretty popular. The staff was very nice.

Currently, they offer 6 pre-arranged tastings of 4 wines, including flights built around their crisp whites, their reds, their Burgundy grapes, their Bordeaux grapes, their sweet offerings, and with chocolate pairings. You can also built your own flight of 4 wines for a few dollars more. The standouts for me were the Pinot Noirs - I'd advise trying glasses from both vineyards if you can, as they're quite unique from one another. We also really enjoyed their Riesling and Pinot Gris - nice and crisp, just enough bite to tantalize the tongue without overpowering your taste buds. In all, Setter offers more than 20 wines that can fit most guests tastes. The bottles all provide very solid value for their price points and are worth bringing home. I like the versatility of their wine lineup - you can find some great choices ranging from sparkling wines you'd enjoy during a cocktail hour, to white and red offerings that pair nicely with seafood and red meats respectively. If you're looking for something a little different, they serve Sangria, as well as Mimosas on Sunday - these choices are also delicious.

The winery is huge and tucked far enough from the main roads. They have a selection of wines for tastings (also an option to order maccarons on a side,to pair with!),stage for live bands and - get this - even their own little fended dog park. We ordered a selection of wines for tasting with maccarons while our doggo enjoyed company of a few other energetic pups in the dog park. Really liked the wines (dry,semi-sweet,sweet-they have it all) and even got a discount for maccarons that were their last ones in stock and a tad crumbled. Thumbs up!
