When I reached out saying I felt like there was an error with what they charged the explanation was: The cost of your obituary includes a variety of components. As you requested, here is a more detailed breakdown based on our system's and the newspaper's pricing metrics: $231.41 - Insertion fee $1082.40 - The obituary takes up 165 lines billed at 6.56 per line = $1,312.81 total cost for the obituary placement into the Oklahoman Ridiculous to take advantage of people at a time like this!!!!!

I have a fishing license...he doesn't. He was cited 100.00 for just being there with me! The citation would have been 206.00 if he would have paid Blaine county. Instead we paid the ranger 100.00 cash which he asked for to pay the fine...but for what? My friend was not fishing...we have lived here all our lives and this has never happened. Just a warning.....don't even go to this Pond without a license...even if you aren't fishing..

They also cover places to go, things to do, and people that call or have called Oklahoma home. The writing quality is without match in Oklahoma, and the photographs are award winning. They have great continuing relationships with Oklahoma artists, such as Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Mike Larsen, Hanson, and other celebs and personalities. One of the best characteristics though is that they waste no ink slamming people or companies. About a year ago, we dropped our subscription to the The Oklahoman. The print quality was going…read morebad, there was less and less local news, and what news there was was two to three days old. Recently, my wife began a Wednesday/Sunday subscription; she wanted the book listing in the Sunday edition. The delivery history 'stinks on ice'. We have had more missed deliveries than deliveries. Complains to the 'contact line' go unanswered and promises to 'deliver a new paper' are not kept. Since USA Today took over the Oklahoman, it has turned into a third-rate fish wrapper, although I don't think any self-respecting fish that would want to be wrapped in it. I would suspect within the year, the Oklahoma will cease publication.
