The principal's Mrs. Wells and Ms. Aguirre did their best to diffuse a lot of the situations, and work with my cousin, but between the some of the students, the lady Ms. Reb that worked the front office , the yard guards ( Ms Schm. and Ms De La C) and his first grade teacher Ms. M, he had a hard time adjusting. His second grade (H) and third grade teacher (Mr. C) were so much better, but he still had problems and then pandemic happened. Once the pandemic was declared to be over, my aunt tried to enroll him, but the lady at the office informed her it would be hard to enroll on campus because of the problems he had with the students. They penalized him even though he was being bullied by the first grade teacher and the students. So my aunt kept him in homeschool outside of LAUSD, and he's been thriving ever since.

For example a student was pretending to throw something and she didn't actually throw it. She got benched and forced to clean up trash for 40 minutes. Then just two days ago, Sept 7, 2023, someone stole her purple jacket, and someone stole my nephews dinosaur sweater. My niece is in 1st grade, and my nephew is in pre-K. That tells you a lot about this elementary school. Also, my brother is a teacher and he was told that my nephew didnt have to learn letters yet in his grade because he'll learn it later. lol. Well, my brother teaches his son at home because my nephews smart and his brain shouldn't have to be delayed because of his teacher's low expectations. Teachers should encourage self-learning if the child is interested. The school's just ghetto, like a little prison for kids. Id have my niece and nephew go somewhere else but they aren't my kids.

And the worst part was that the principal was inside her office with the door open and she didn't say anything! I was so disappointed that this lady could be rude and walk all over the staff as if she owned the school. When Mayra was in the office we had no problems and she was kind but since she left someone new came in and has really been extremely passive aggressive many occasions not only to me but also to my husband and eldest daughter when they've gone to pick my son up. She throws a lot of comments to us because we choose to pick him up at the office instead of the gate. If you have kids at this school you understand how crazy the traffic can get especially because the school was built right on Gaffey st where there's many traffic lights and the school will call the cops on the parents for stopping traffic. I still make it on time to pick my son up but choose to just go to the office. When I ask the lady to call for my son she always has to sigh or make some sort of gesture to let us know she's mad and I will not apologize to her for asking her to do her job. Today she chose she was going to say something to me for "bothering her" because she had to call for my son, now she was not required to say this to me nor is she getting paid for it. She chose to say it, she has no reasonable argument but only hit me with opinions. In a different occasion my daughter came in and the office lady was chatting with a teacher about how she feels about us, that the teacher said something to my daughter as the office lady sat there with a grin. It's sad to see how sarcastic and passive aggressive she is that it only worries me to imagine how she could treat my son when I'm not around. Now for the staff and teachers, I have received many complaints about my son because he's "running during recess" "kicked a ball" or "scooted his chair in class and it disrupted the teacher". It is very clear that behind classroom doors teachers and staff have favorite children, and that is okay to like one kid more than another because they're not your kids but to treat them differently is not okay. Many times my child has had to eat his lunch in the office without a table provided to him because of ridiculous complaints like the examples I just gave, and many times my child has been hit or physically hurt by other kids at school and when I ask my son what he did about it he says "I told the teacher and they ignored me and said to go play". I just wish the teachers at this school gave just as much importance to my son being physically hurt as they do to him "scooting the chair and it being distracting". My oldest daughter went to this school she is 20 and an adult now and have given me MANY insight on what teachers and staff act like when there's no superiors around and the amount of things they get away with is absolutely ridiculous! This school has really disappointed me! I will let my son finish the year since there's less than a month left but I will be switching schools this upcoming year since the new lady in the office was my last straw...and for the school I really hope they can see how sad all these reviews are and can finally try and make some change for the better.

The attending physician indicated that this child could have died. This has been an annual trip for decades with zero issues until this year 3) a 3rd grader was able to walk off campus unnoticed and walk several miles to his home 4) bullying is a persistent issue (both student to student AND teacher to student). Little to no consequence is given to the offenders 5) their public social media posts recently show questionable judgment exhibiting a student saying her favorite memory while at HT is a "neighbor calling the cops on them" and a picture of a parent wearing a shirt that read " me and my mom talk sh*t about you" at Handbag Bingo. The profanity was not blurred out as I just wrote it. 6) In the yearbook a middle school teacher wrote to her graduating class " this year has been a pile of pink slips, long term subs and enough drama to fuel a Netflix show". Again, questionable judgment that this statement was allowed to "go to print". Legacy and generational families are given preferential treatment and the extreme nepotism is prevalent in every aspect of this institution from awards to grades. If you are not neither, your family and your child will be ignored (in the best cases) and bullied (in the worst cases). Holy Trinity has lost their way from the amazing school it once was to the broken academic institution it is currently.
