The sandwich was pretty good tasting but it was nothing that set it apart. It was average at best. This is usually located near the Nationwide building on High Street. It's a good stop if you're working and you're already there. The service is fast when compared to other trucks. I would like to get something else from En Place. It was not too bad. They has more of a healthier menu you would expect from a truck.

They also had a seasonal summer salad starring zucchini on the menu, which also sounded good. The sandwiches are great sized and really loaded up with meat and toppings. Everything was much enjoyed and really hit the spot. The staff was friendly and efficient. They took the order with a phone number and then texted us to come back for pick up when it was ready.

I remember it clearly as I was a newbie to Central Ohio and they sold Cheerwine* in bottles. From there, I've caught them at a handful of small festivals, at Platform, and at Pins Mechanical when they parked there for a while. I've had the por'ketta sandwich, the potato salad, and the pork sundae. I could have reviewed these guys quite a while ago but I guess I was waiting for a certain dish to push me over the 'review this now' ledge. Well, I had that dish this weekend at Platform. (Where these guys are parked on Saturdays.) I had the breakfast sandwich. The bread, same that is used for the other sandwiches, was beautiful. On the sandwich were roasted red peppers, that had been peeled! I really dislike fire roasted things that haven't been peeled (i.e. tomatoes, peppers) so when I saw that the ones on the sandwich were peeled I was stoked! It shouldn't be a secret, I freakin' LOVE mayo and mayo based things (Duke's mayo forever). But, MAN the aioli used on this sandwich was on point. The thyme in it took it over the top! The bacon was great and complimented the other ingredients well. The only thing I wasn't too keen on, at first, were the scrambled eggs on the sandwich. It looked (and smelled) a bit overcooked on one side of the sandwich. However, after a few bites into the sandwich, my dislike of the scrambled eggs changed when I realized that they had crisped the cheese to the bottom side of the eggs. I love crispy, toasted cheese! With the sandwich came a side of griddled potatoes. These guys are likely the same potatoes that get crafted into potato salad. There's a vinegar backing that reminded me of the potato salad. They complimented the sandwich oh so we'll. The gentleman that was working even brought out our dog some chicken! Our dog loved it of course and wants to already know when we can go back for brunch at Platform. Por'ketta serves the breakfasty side of their menu till 2 when they switch to lunch. As a note I had my wife order the sandwich as it comes; these guys would surely honor egg style requests. Next time I get the breakfast sandwich, I will ask for an egg with a soft yoke- as that would have made this sandwich untouchable by any other food truck (and likely restaurant) breakfast sandwich. ----- *Cheerwine is a North Carolina based cherry soda. Iam hesitant to give 5 stars because I've only ordered one thing from the menu. But this truck has THE BEST chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. The flavors are amazing, you can taste the smokiness in the chicken. The croissant is a perfect, light buttery addition. The lettuce & tomato were super fresh both times I had the sandwich and it's a generous portion. This a new fav of mine/ highly recommend. I think I'll try the fried mushrooms next!

The guys running it were super friendly and chatty and were super proud of the food they're producing. Unfortunately, it's reviews on here that make people hate Yelps, so unless they were terrible a year ago, then I'm not sure what's going on here. The Nashville Hot chicken we ordered was massive, and it was some of the best I've tried in a long time, especially in Columbus. The chicken was super juicy while the breading retained a ridiculously delicious and spicy crunch. You definitely get a lot for what you pay for. The heat level was great, since I love it spicy, and it was absolutely caked in cayenne paste. I also ordered the Jambayala, which was solid as well. It definitely could use some more heat, and I don't think anyone else would mind if the spices in it were kicked up a notch. The chicken and sausage was tasty, and cooked just right, so I can't complain. Like I said, I'm not sure what the deal is here unless the bourbon chicken was just that bad, but I find it hard to believe. I'll check back though and try it. I really don't understand why people are basing southern cooking off a 4 ingredient dish that you can get at any fair or festival like its the epitome of Cajun cooking but whatever. You do you. The crispy bourbon chicken over Carolina gold rice is honestly the southern/Asian fusion fried rice I didn't know I needed. I know it's not typically made with crispy chicken but it should be. It just should. There were bits of traditional bourbon chicken I think he rice along with scallions, and so different textures in every bite. And if you're not familiar with Carolina Gold rice, do your googles and learn. It's an heirloom grain that's making a comeback and for good reason. It's so much more flavorful than regular rice. The brisket Mac and cheese belongs together, I could have done without the cornflakes, but they do bring a nice crunch to the dish, and however the brisket mac is sauced...sheesh!!!! Like I said this brisket and this mac belong together. And then there's the fried green tomatoes. The tomato was tangy and fresh, the breading not too heavy to overpower and nicely seasoned. A well balanced profile. The aioli was dressed a little heavy on mine, but it definitely gives you that southern flavor, tangy, smooth, and little sweet. I'd follow them just for the tea and lemonade, so the great food was a bonus. When you remember this is coming out of a food truck, you'll appreciate just how good this is. Empanadas here come in many flavors. It has some that are pretty natural and others that are off the wall. There's any taste to suit you. An empanada is about $2. The flavors can be the weirdest. It has a buffalo macaroni and cheese flavor, and a sloppy Joe flavor. The empanadas themselves are pretty crunchy and filled with lots of cheese and meat. It also has vegetarian flavors. These empanadas are good sizes. It used to have a food truck they served these from. It now only sells these online. They sell a dozen per each order.

I also spend way more than I should, but in the case of Kenny's Meat Wagon, $14 for two sandwiches didn't break the bank too much, but it did almost put me into a food coma. I've had several chances to check out Kenny and his wagon, but I just never gave it a chance. Today was that day and what a great day it was. I could smell the grill from a ways off, especially the Chicago style Italian beef he had sitting there marinading. The menu offered for regular options and two specials, one being a Veggie sandwich. I had to figure out how to try a bit of everything without overdoing it. I went with the Italian sandwich, which had a thick slice of Genoa salami and pepperoni on it and a pile of the Italian beef covered in veggies and spicy mayo. This.. should have been enough for me, but I had to get the Corby Dog too which was a 1/4 lb hot dog topped with pulled pork and homemade BBQ sauce and purple slaw. All the meats are local, and the awesome bread that it comes on is too. I downed that Italian sandwich pretty quick even though it was quite a bit of food and started to get the meat sweats. It was so good, but Kenny's not messing around with his meat, and you'll probably want to take it slow. As far as the Corby Dog, I saved that for later. About 15 minutes later. It was absolutely delicious, and the BBQ sauce mixed in with the sweet peppers and grilled onions was really tasty. I wanted to get this review out here before I fell asleep at work, because the food was just so good. I see now why he won an award at the Columbus Food Truck festival. He's also selling OH Chips!
