Lets Talk About UNPROFESSIONAL! My husband and I have been trying to get in for months now! They notified him of a cancellation they had for today at noon . And of course we jumped at the opportunity. So we arrive there and I guess the owner idk comes out and meets us in the hallway telling us that the people that had the cancellation showed up and she allowed them to stay and told us all she can say is she is sorry! Like really! So I said the people that cancelled should have been told they couldn't get serviced she said I didn't know who anybody was I'm lost I don't know what was happening LIKE REALLY WHAT TYPE OF ESTABLISHMENT ARE YOU RUNNING! All u can do is stand here in my face and say your sorry LIKE YEAH I KNOW YOU ARE SORRY!!! Note to whoever the young lady was :...in customer service when you are wrong make the situation right saying sorry doesn't make up for your poor customer service and negligence we will not be returning to this establishment and I would never recommend them to anyone for services. Where to start, I'll try to log back in and upload my pics from my phone. A young lady said this is where she got her 1st massage from and she liked it....now I know she doesn't know any better because almost nothing about this was good. That duplex of business in Southfield should be closed, the businesses should DEMAND better from the landlord, SUPER dirty steps as soon as you walk in and even on the floor I got the massage the carpet in the halls were DIRTY. they are in a TINY end of the hall room. Mario didn't have a mask on the entire time I saw him, when I walked in he was sitting in one of the 3 chairs in the supermall waiting area, the other therapist behind the desk had a mask on and UNDER her chin each time I saw HER...so they don't believe in safely smh then had the nerve to ask me to sanitize my hands as soon as I walked in and took my temp. What about THEM protecting me from their germs? Since this was a 90 massage I did opt to go to the rest room before starting...I "guess" they don't have one in their tiny suite or not one anyone offered to ME the customer. Instead I was given a "key" to go abotu 50 feet down the hall for a womens bathroom that was WIDE OPEN (the door) so didn't need the key after all. The entire building is dingy and does not make you relaxed, if you want a relaxing environment the building and actual business office IS NOT IT. I come back and get underneath the covers (which I was told they had their heating paid on)...why I went on a day and time where it's was WELL into the 70's Things I didn't like about the actual massage: 1-the pressure. Mario is a big guy and apparently he decided to treat me like a man with the way he was pressing my back into the table and pushing my sides and using that weird forearm technique 2-the CONSTANT "relax, relax" I'd thought it was some weird mansplaining issue but see the woman therapist told other folks the same thing CONSTANTLY (other reviews). LOL how do you relax when you got some one "digging" their forearm in your shoulder blade over and over and putting all their considerable weight on you not to mention the pushing the sides of your stomach suddenly and hard enough to move your whole body on the table, not to mention the "nails" not pads of fingers digging into your feet? or your neck bones? 3-way to much of that 90 mins was spent on my back and at least 20% of that time was not comfortable at all. Work on my legs or arms way more would have been preferred 4-when I finally was turned on my back I didn't get any upper shoulder chest massage, like I've gotten from other places 5-the oil they used must of have been cheap So this oil....again spent so long on my back it was caked with it, and when I got home I NEEDED to 100% shower so I did, and SOAPED up and Scrubbed and took a full shower, got out, dried off and you should STILL feel a slight residue left. NEVER had that happen at any other massage before. So not sure what oil they are using. It was SO much that it had my SHOWER shoes that NEVER slip (that is why I wear them) slipping in the first minute of my shower. So it's not the worst massage I've had but it is probably the 3rd worst between the lady I stopped after 15 mins and the other lady (both examples at a different location than Loose Massage) who had doughy hands They are "cheaper" for a reason I see. I almost started to try one more time one of the females but don't intend to go back to a place that is dirty, that doesn't take covid seriously and that has "weird" service overall. I don't know where/when they got their massage license (assuming they have one) but they need to take some refresher classes. read more

This review is based on the location/setup. Massage was done by J'nai and I enjoyed it. I felt great afterwards but I almost didn't go. The location is in an old office building. The inside where the massage was done, just isn't up to my standards. The pictures on Yelp aren't accurate. If J'nai moved to a real spa location, I'd follow but I can't see myself laying on that table, in that room, with that dusty fan again. The price is very cheap (they always have deals) but I'd pay more for the ambiance, smells and tranquility. read more

Unfortunately my SO and I never even gotten a chance to step foot into the place or even get a massage.... this is due to no one EVER answering the phone! Called over 5 times, left voicemail messages and still no call back. My SO and I got a groupon to try it out here due to the great reviews but it shouldn't be so difficult to book a massage. Really disappointed that we didn't try it out, we ended up getting a refund because it almost seemed sketchy to us. Maybe if they fix there communication with their clients we will possibly give them a try in the future. read more

I had such a WONDERFUL experience with Loose Massage Therapy Plus that I felt the need to add them on Yelp! From the beginning of the experience to the end, I have no complaints. Customer Service: I initially found them during a Groupon search for local massage deals. After reading several customer reviews on another site, I decided to purchase the deal ($50 for a 90 minute massage with hot stones). I immediately sent an email requesting an appointment for the following week. I received both email and text message confirmation of my appointment within a couple of hours, along with two reminder text messages, one the day before and one the day of the appointment. J'nai (the owner) was very professional, friendly, and committed to making the experience as customer-friendly as possible. Product (the massage): The massage itself was AMAZING!!! J'nai made sure to pay special attention to areas that I'd indicated were my most troubled spots. She was also very thorough in her technique on the entire body, even down to the fingers and toes. She checked in with me twice to make sure the pressure was just right for me. This was my first experience with hot stones, and I am now a FIRM believer. They definitely enriched the overall massage experience. I'll also note that, while several other massage spas I've visited in the past take about 20 minutes as "consultation time," J'nai made sure that the majority of the 90 minutes was spent on the actual massage. I was given adequate time to undress in the beginning and redress afterward without feeling rushed, but the time allotted for my massage didn't suffer in the process! I made my appointment via the website after one of my clients referred me. (I am a hairdresser) It was easy. I received a confirmation and reminders. That was great. She has just recently moved so the address on here is not updated. I went to her new location on 9 mile road but also in Oak Park. J'nai was very professional. And knowledgeable. She used essential oils which I love. I feel awesome and I will definitely be returning and recommending her to others. To second what the other reviewer said, I didn't have to wait long. I had a massage here a couple of weeks ago from J'nai. I will say in the therapist's defense, I was not very vocal about how hard she was massaging me. That said, she continuously told me to relax as she pulled and pushed on me, when the reason I couldn't relax was because of how much she was hurting me; she said it authoritatively and not in a kind way. The hot stones were uncomfortable, and I was never asked how they felt or if I wanted them to begin with. In addition, she used some other type of massaging tool which felt like a rough wooden rolly thing- also extremely painful. Moreover, a friend of mine purchased this same Groupon (she too had a good first experience before they changed locations), and I explained to her how disappointed I was after mine (I looked into getting a massage after my Loose massage because my body was so sore). My friend knows that I don't like super hard massages, so she assumed that it was my preferences more than it was the massage therapist which caused me to be in pain. However, she had the exact same experience. She contacted me right after with expletive-rich texts about how painful her massage was and how she had been vocal about the pressure, but apparently it didn't matter to the massage therapist. She mirrored my experience when she said that she was told on several occasions to relax, even though she could not because of how the massage therapist was hurting her. The entire time I was in this 90 minute massage, I was waiting for it to be over. I was not relaxed, and in fact, was in pain during the entire thing. The room itself was not darkened or calming. Overall, this was a really poor experience which was disappointing as I had a massage at Loose before they moved (it was much better the first time). After reading other Yelp reviews, it is my understanding that the owner ( I think J'nai) tends to respond to these negative reviews with additional negativity rather than empathy or understanding for her lost clientele. Just a heads up that I won't be engaging in, or reading, any response from the owner because I find that to be incredibly unprofessional from a consumer's standpoint. First of all, even with the directions given to me by staff I drove by this place 3 times, then eventually had to park and walk to find it. When you walk in the waiting room is dingy, dirty, unfinished (parts of wall missing) and there is no one at the desk to greet you. The massage was not great. I did not get any aromatherapy (although I could smell rubbing alcohol quite often) and the lotion she used was GREASY. It sounded like I was being rubbed down with cooking oil. At no point did she focus on the areas we discussed. I was pinched, scratched, rocked back and forth. I did get a decent exfoliation though from her rough hands. This was the least relaxing massage I have ever had. Won't be back. read more

This place is horrible ..the picture makes the establishment look better then it actually is. The place is hard to find due to poor signage. There was not receptionist there to assist. I arrived to my appointment late due to google not giving the proper directions. Upon entering the establishment the bells rang the owner did not come to the front desk. I knocked and shouted so she could hear me. I waited 25 min for her to come and she never did .I was scheduled for a 90 min massage it was hard to believe she was assisting someone else. I left a note apologizing for being late and informing her that my phone was broken so I could not call her or use GPS. I also informed her that I would be getting a refund from Groupon and that she should have someone at the font desk. She sent me an email ( mind you she had my cell phone number ) after I left her establishment stating the following Greetings I just saw your note. You did not call to inform you were late or lost with in the specified time of your appointment or grace period. You had to have been at least 30min late, because that's around the time I left the front area. Furthermore I actually have the freedom to take care of other business within my facility. Beware!!! Do not waste your money here!!!! Unprofessional. Message therapist Pam talked throughout the message and started talking about her male dancer boyfriend, making it hard to relax. I bought a 90 minute groupon and only received 60 minutes. The massage was basic. I've had much better. I sent an email complaint to company and no one has responded. I also heard the owner is difficult from a friend. I'm guessing this is the reason no one has contacted me! The owner contacted me weeks later without offering any kind of apology or solution to my issue. She instead defended her unprofessional massage therapist and told me what I should do for future reference. I purchased a groupon for this spa. It is kind of hard to find, off 9 mile in oak park. When you walk in its dirty and not welcoming. The girl at the desk said 2 words, and you sit on an uncomfortable dirty couch, staring at ..well nothing, the dirty carpet I suppose. The owner i believe did my massage, it was okay, the room i was in seemed to be clean, so at least its just the waiting area that is dirty. I don't know how to describe it but I have never felt pain the way I did in this massage. I actually felt terrible leaving, and she did not stretch me. She did do the full 90 mins which was nice and used hot stones and good smelling oil. I probably will not ever recommend this place to anyone. The location listed is not where they currently are, their new facility is nice clean and I had a great massage with Mr. Chaka, so much so that I took advantage of their return visit discount and this time booked even more time. I am a regular customer of J'nai. First of all - the address on 9 Mile in Oak Park is no longer where she is located. She is now in Southfield. I was disappointed to read some of the reviews but understand that some people are all about appearances vs. the type of service. She has become my regular massage person because of her knowledge and ability to meet my massage needs. I have been to expensive spas with all of the frills and left unsatisfied. J'nai knows what she is doing and is able to provide recommendations for ongoing care. She has provided me information to assist me in my daily environment to help with my muscle issues. I am never disappointed with her services and she is very personable. She cares about people! read more

Pretty disappointing. I am late with my review, however my experience was within the last 90 days. I simply would not pay more than $30 for a massage here. DO NOT pay more than that, pay spa prices for an actual spa massage... AT A SPA! The lobby is unwelcoming, doesn't appear to have been cleaned in quite some time. It is also strange that after advertising being in business for so many years, there is not even a permanent sign outside. I was even asked to pay BEFORE I received my service. She also seemed to have a bit of an attitude for some reason, I did not receive the level of customer service expected when getting a massage. I think J'Nai would benefit from working at an actual spa to develop more customer service skills as well as get an idea of how to establish a business.
