The fence is exceptional, James is very picky about the pickets he uses and would not use several that dud not meet his standards. He uses cedar pickets as they are superior to the pressure treated ones available at the home stores. While he was not the lowest estimate we received, it was close and was far from the highest. The quality if his work and materials he uses are definitely worth the small amount above the lowest estimate. His entire crew were curteous and professional and left the area as clean or cleaner than they found it. I must also mention that he did some repairs to 2 neighbors fences that adjoined ours at no additional cost. If you use James you will not be disappointed.

Followed the slope of the yard and made things as aesthetic and level as possible and did a good job of making thinks tight and avoided gaps. I think it is easier to make a metal fence look good since there is little variation compared with wood. The price was within the average of the 5 or 6 places I asked for quotes (aluminum fences are not cheap) and they didn't low-ball and raise their price by a large percentage. One thing I liked, they wanted to be sure the HOA and city regulations and permits were met which made me feel they were professionals and not apt to cut corners. They asked for the material costs upfront (check is fine) and then the residual at completion.

I treated there workers nice buying them lunch on the days they worked. One side the pickets didn't match in color. Was not even close. As they were building it I brought it to there attention. They told me not to worry it would all fade in and look the same. It didn't. Not even close. They told me "Why don't you just paint the fence?" Other side of the fence was where we had our property regraded. We told them that the ground was softer there. They said no problem. Now the fence leans about a foot out of level on the top. We called them and they said they would have to charge us to come out and fix it. Fence is not even 4 months old.
