The Lord Milner is located very close to Victoria station so from a transport perspective it is very convenient. The area is also rather ok with some restaurants and cafes around.
The hotel is an old converted town house and it is clear that it was not a hotel from the beginning. It is however still ok as such. I stayed alone, in the Sunset room. The room is fairly small and perhaps it is not the prime location in the hotel but I still felt the room was ok. Most importantly it was clean and functional. The bed was fairly comfortable, the bath room was fresh and there was a tub.
Standard things like TV, safe, water kettle and (free) wifi was available. What was mainly missing was a place to sit and work. The room is also located at the bottom floor so it may be some noise from the reception area but as it closes at 11 it was nothing that really bothered me.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.I did not try the breakfast so cannot comment on it. Would however expect one of the cafes on the same street to offer better value for breakfast. It was not a great price but still probably fairly decent considering I booked very late. If you wish to be close to Victoria station and/or wish to stay in a smaller hotel this is a good option. read more
