The Corporate Transparency Act (and the requirement to do a BOI) is real and so is the requirement to file an annual Texas Franchise Tax Report (or an information report if no tax due). For the first one, it is now being battled in the courts, but would be a $500/day fine with possible jail time if not done. I would be thrilled to have my registered agent let me know about it. I just happened to find out about it, thankfully, because I am my own registered agent right now and am screening 3rd party services. I didn't want to write this review and tried to give my feedback in a direct and constructive manner but my experience with both my lawyer and the senior partner left me with no other avenue. At any price the treatment I received was unacceptable but given the high fees I paid, it was truly astounding.
