Lori is a tremendous business and life coach that I would highly recommend to absolutely anyone! To start things off (and this is huge) Lori is an extremely ethical person. Her objective is not to keep you coming back but to assess what is right for you and help you get from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible. Very quickly she picks up on the essence of whatever problem you're facing and with a few questions strips it down to the core issue you're having. About 3 months ago, I found myself, a successful photographer, somehow in a bit of a rut. I was in a bit of flux.. meeting with 40 ad agencies in NY, going full fledged pedal to the metal, then getting burnt out and not being able to find the energy or determination to get myself to follow through with the 40 thank you notes. Week in, week out, months would pass and I kept making mental to-do's to follow through but I avoided it like the plague. I felt like, when I am hired by a company, for a particular job, I'm the best, most productive person on the planet, but when the job is complete, and it's time to do the marketing and the work to get more business, I just wasn't able to motivate myself. I don't know where to start. There are so many good things to say about this amazing, beautiful (inside and out), intuitive and smart woman. Lori is great at what she does. I booked a consultation with her, and not only was a late because I completely forgot about the appointment, i wasn't anywhere close to a computer. Lori was kind and patient enough to wait until I got home and jumped on the Skype call with me. Heres the crazy part, she didn't rush me at all. Were scheduled from 4-515 or something like that. I didnt even get on until 430 maybe 440 and we must have stayed on close to 6pm. She was so generous with her time I was shocked. She listened to everything I had to say, offered amazing advice and really helped me get clarity. I mentioned to her that some of the things she said were similar to a psychic I had a reading from just a week earlier on the same topic, funny how that works. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone looking for guidance in career, life or business. She knows her stuff, she knows how to ask the right questions and she does it in such a caring and compassionate way, it makes you feel like she's known you forever and she really cares. I was looking for a task master business coach who would basically hold my feet to the fire, but I gave Lori a try based off of all the positive reviews, and the fact that she offers a free initial 10 minute conversation followed by another free initial hour + consultation. I thought that was impressively confident, and honorable. It took me a little while to buy into her process, because it was, quite honestly, the opposite of what I was originally looking for, but as it turns out, she's the real deal. She's not a band aid. She's working from the core of what's holding you back from achieving all that you can. Just as I started with her, an article came out in the NYTimes about the results of an extensive study on procrastination, and the results really confirmed for me the work that I've been doing with Lori. They basically stated that procrastination is not a time management problem, it's an emotion management problem. I could feel the work that I was doing with her work inside myself. I'm now constantly catching and correcting myself from saying, "I have..." to do something to "I want..." to do something, and "I choose..." to do something. I know, to some, things like that seem trivial, but scientific evidence is starting to point to the power of the stories we tell ourselves etc. I must add, that eventually, and I mean within a few weeks, not months, we did get into more of the nuts and bolts ways to improve productivity, but it does still come back to the storytelling.
