I connected with Dawn when I was on an academic track towards a faculty position in science and was unsure if that was what I actually wanted. I felt like I was in a job that I loved but I was burnt out and unhappy. I wasn't sure what I needed. Did I need a big career shift to a different industry or job? I'm a dichotomy; I am a free spirit but I have a five year plan; I've had a successful career as a licensed professional in the financial field, but after deciding to start my own business in a completely different field I had somehow turned into "one of those people" who watched daytime TV all day long - Jerry Springer followed by Dr. Phil and then perhaps a round or two of Oprah. (Oprah in rerun. That's just not right. An Oprah rerun. ARGH.) Immediately during the initial call that Dawn and I had, I knew she was the one to help me. My year with Dawn and David was big. I found myself bogged down with work and life obligations. Dawn helped me tackle each issue, task by task. She kept me accountable each week.
