So many issues with this agent. Where to start? We were using Lori when we lived in Denver. When we bought a home near Boulder, the path of least resistance was to add the new house to our existing policy. Last year we had hail damage and filed a claim on that house. Lori's office provided a list of roofers they said other State Farm clients were happy with. The roofer turned about to be horrible; not pulling permits, failing inspections, trying to collect before the work was done. Fast forward a few months. We've decided to purchase a larger house. We have excellent credit, a large down payment, each of us has been at our well-paying jobs for several years. Before the closing, we called Lori's office to add this house to our policy only to be told they won't cover us. We ask if they are dropping us. They say they are not. We had a bit of a panic thinking no other insurer will cover us, but a few days later we have coverage for the new house with Farmers. A few weeks ago Lori's office called to tell us they are in fact dropping us when the policy expires. Not a huge deal since we know we can also move the old house to Farmers as well, but inconvenient. Turns out the problem State Farm had getting us underwritten was caused by incorrect data they reported to the TRUE database. Our Farmers agent worked with us to correct the error and now we pay less for more coverage. This agent either has no idea what is going on with their client's policies or intentionally misled us. Not sure which is worse, but I would shop for insurance elsewhere. read more

I have had Statefarm and Lori as an agent for 25 years now. I'm amazed how hard Lori works to get the best plans and rates for our family. Lori truly cares about her clients and it shows. I am disgusted with the service I received from this agent's office. My car insurance coverage was terminated without warning or notification for several days after I missed an intermediate billing deadline for an additional charge that occurred in part due to an agent's mistake. The office representative admitted the mistake was entirely his fault, but claimed I was still entirely responsible, and the only "solution" offered was a high pressure sales pitch for renter's insurance. These problems are specific to Lori Rickert's office - I did not run into anything this unprofessional working with other State Farm agents. read more

After being a customer of State Farm for over 10 years, I would expect much better (or any) customer service! I was misinformed by State Farm agents on 2 separate occasions informing me my policy would take care my claim. After almost 3 months of waiting, and emailing them several times, the agent informed me my $350 claim would not be covered. I made specific choices regarding the information they gave me pertaining to my policy. State Farm should either read up on their policy, or give me the policy so I can be certain what is covered. Isn't this their job? In addition, if they provided me with incorrect information, they should remedy the situation to the best of their ability. But this was not the case; instead I had to pester them and their was no real apology. Remind me why I pay you every month?? I would expect better customer service, especially considering I'd been with State Farm over 10 years! I have since found another insurance company, with a better rate. I would never use State Farm again! Go elsewhere....anywhere. read more

Great help provided for non-US citizens! We could buy a car insurance here, making us eligible to to buy a car in Colorado (with an international drivers licence). For a 6 month stay it felt unreasonable to test and apply for a Colorado license - after 30 years of driving without any accidents in Europe. Thank you! read more

Lori Rickert is the definition of a professional State Farm Agent! With customer service over and above the normal agent. I have known Lori over 20 years and have seen her at more weddings, birthday parties, funerals, bar mitzvahs you name it and she is there, going out of her way to make sure her clients know she cares about them and appreciates their loyal business. It frustrates me to see these reviews of people that have no clue the value of having a good agent on your side, explaining coverage and managing changes and claims in your life. Insurance is like any other business I do not understand why people flip out if your insurance goes up 5-8% in a year? Doesn't the restaurant you eat at raise their prices when food cost go up? Your utilities or health insurance has that not gone up? Your insurance company has to manage the devastation of a bad weather year, hail storms, floods or wild fires that we deal with yearly but yet you question why your insurance went up? I always tell my kids or business acquaintances there are two things you never skimp on or miss paying that is insurance and taxes! You can always shop insurance on the internet and get a telemarketer to get you the insurance you want at that low low price, but don't you ever wonder why that insurance is so much lower? You don't realize what coverage they dropped or lowered to make you think you just got this great deal...until you have that claim and get sued? Will that telemarketer be their with you when you are getting sued and need advice?
