My case involved getting my wife(was in Canada) a green card. He did say he got experiences doing it. We started with i130. I filled out everything myself and all he did was filed it. For that I paid over 1000. Then, 1) when I received a response for i130(email on my end), I checked with him. He said nothing on his end and he said he checked. Then he said next day they never sent to him but he went to the immigration office and got the receipt thru his connections there. Dude no need to lie man. Just admit you forgot to check your mails man. 2) then we had a few questions. Some were not obvious such as can we change to a different embassy for an interview? If he had experiences he would have answered right away. Ok he got none but he did not even put ANY effort in trying. There was some basic questions from i864. He could not answer. 3) anytime there was a receipt or response from uscis. He never contacted us. Towards the end we just moved on naturally without him. Man this guy scamming 1000 for zero work.

She had a very aloof and laid back attitude and she often ran late to our hearings. This wasn't to my liking but again this is a personal preference at this point. She took over three months to "research" the matter and her billing practices were interesting to say the least. She charged for emails, phone calls down to the minute. Best of all her legal assistant presented us an invoice using the same rates as a lawyer minus the credentials. When asked why her assistants rates were as so she replied by simply saying: " Good catch". Next she charged us for the time she spent consulting and talking over our case with the other and only other lawyer at her firm. Throughout my years I have never seen such type of charges unless additional counsel is needed. Keep in mind we hired her to file a fairly simple motion. Make a long story short she seemed knowledgeable but dragged her feet a lot and padded the bill a whole lot more charging down to the most minute of items. She even charged me for the email containing her final invoice. If you hire her keep a close eye on your billing cause she racks her fees fast and high. Add big ego, sarcastic and non-apologetic to top it all off! There's better choices out there with more experience and reasonable rates.
