Our coffees are always inconsistent & extremely sweet so we just order food now. Additionally, each time we dine in, tables are limited & dirty, but the worst thing is, is that there isn't enough utensils - we've gotten our order and there isn't clean forks or spoons, and if there are, they are dirty. Quality control and checks on orders and diners is not being conducted and it shows. There is clearly a love for this restaurant from the community, but things need to change if they want to thrive. I'd stop adding specials to your menu and make sure your regular menu items are being prepared correctly along with the needs of the diners. I came here with two friends and we were in agreement this is a great place for breakfast and brunch, but also in agreement their coffee and tea game could be stepped up. There are no real hot tea choices and the coffee is a bit on the weak side. There is also no iced tap water, only bottled water to pour over ice. They only charge a buck for the water, but it is a consideration. I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of bacon, which I highly recommend. The grits have a creamy consistency aided with lots of cheese and butter, the latter of which is great for flavor, but could be restrained a bit. You are not here to count the calories. There are a decent number of shrimp atop, with proper Cajun seasoning befitting the eponymously named and New Orleans styled Jazz restaurant. The side of bacon, which came out in a caramelized semicrisp state, complimented the shrimp and added its own savory flavor to put it over the top for me. Jazzy's New Orleans underpinning was consistent in its flavor profile across all our dishes. The Cajun seasoning was evident in the Salmon Croquettes and the Fish and Grits my friends ordered. Everything received positive reviews, save for the pancakes one of my friends ordered on the side, which were considered mildly positive, and the Croquettes, which were a bit too heavily seasoned with the increased sodium content. Prices are reasonable and, after all is said and done, each person will come to about thirty bucks, including the tip, which is automatically charged at fifteen percent. Service was good, but this automatic gratuity charge is a practice I do not like and is reflected in my review rating, but do not let that dissuade you from coming here. 3.5 stars!

The icing was yummy without being super sweet. While both cupcakes were delicious, of the two my favorite was the red velvet cheesecake. It was unique and melt in your mouth delicious.
