I found Lorraine Travel/Whatahotel through a web search for booking luxury hotels. I didn't know what to expect, as it had been several years since I had used a travel agent, or if this business was even legit. I took my chances and booked a business trip at the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta for four nights. My worst fear was showing up and the hotel not having my reservations. Fast forward to today, and I can say I have been using Lorraine Travel for most of my luxury hotel bookings for well over 10 years now. I have always used Maria for my bookings and have nothing but positive things to say about her. In the digital age that we live in, it's easy to forget about the value a travel agent brings. With Maria, I have been able to book rooms and room numbers that aren't available to me through a hotel's website. Richie Massa is an absolute gem! I was working with him to book a summer vacation and I mentioned a problem I was having with an imminent weekend trip to celebrate my husband's birthday. He recommended a much better location for our weekend getaway and took it upon himself to secure an upgrade to a fabulous suite, along with champagne, a cake, balloons, toys for our daughter and so much more. We've booked 2 stays at Four Seasons properties through Lorraine Travel, most recently for a stay last week. Lorraine Travel is a "Preferred Partner" of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts (among other world renown hotel and resort properties) and because of this, the agency can offer perks like complimentary room upgrades, complimentary breakfasts, and additional food and beverage credit.....very nice perks! We've found Richie to be very responsive to our questions and he's made our travel plans a breeze. We're very pleased to have found Lorraine Travel and Richie Massa. I don't know who this Tracy girl is but she must be complaining about the wrong travel agency. I have been cooridinating my Corporate travel with Lorraine for the past 15 years and still counting to this day. They are the BEST travel agency in Miami. All the travel agents are very helpful as well as the receptionist. They always rise to the occasion in finding just what I need for my travel party at the best possible price. I get better service with Lorraine than I did with American Airlines travel center or the actual airline operator, as they don't really care about the customers. Unlike Lorraine Travel, it does not matter if you have to book a hotel, a car, a flight or an entire travel schedule. They go above and beyond the call the duty. So again, I don't know who this Tracy was talking about, she must have dialed the wrong number. read more

Lorraine Travel was used to book a Medical Mission trip to Port au Prince Haiti. Our trip involved scheduling five people requiring three different dates and times and multiple departure cities. The staff were very polite, very effective and very efficient. We had to request a change to one of the tickets AFTER we had booked the flight, and the staff were able to help us change the ticket and only incur minimal charges. The only glitch was my error in not providing all of the information requested to process the transaction by credit card. We were able to resolve that quickly and the process worked like a charm. This was a very pleasant experience and the organization which schedules Medical Mission Trips will work with Lorraine Travel for other missions. I have used Lorraine travel for four different trips. Some of the trips were very expensive while others were more budget friendly. I have always stayed in beautiful resorts with the help of my travel agent at Lorraine Travel and have gotten up-graded rooms and free meals whenever possible. My travel consultant is quite patient and when I am booking a trip it is never straight forward, I am usually all over the map trying to find the place that I would like best. Lucy, the consultant I use is always very willing to make numerous calls to different resorts to get me all of the information I want. She is always patient and kind and although I know I am probably driving her crazy, she has never made me feel that way. I just booked yet another trip to Mexico with Lucy at Lorraine travel and she was quite helpful. read more

I have used Lorraine Travel for many years and countless trips. To begin with, the customer service is top notch! I always feel like I'm making arrangements last minute because often I am. Every time, our agent Mary Camacho, rises to the occasion, finding just what I need for my travel party, at the best possible price. I've contacted Mary for personal travel arrangements as well. Even when I need to make additions and deletions, she is right there with me, as if she were literally sitting next to me arranging for my party's travel needs, as if I am the only who calls upon her services. There are 4 other travel agencies I could use, but after finding Lorraine Travel, I decided long ago to look no further and I will stick with Mary C. and Lorraine Travel for many more years to come. read more

They helped be plan a trip for my husband's 40th birthday for not just us but 12 of our friends. We started planning the trip months in advance and kept adding people to our guest list as the date grew closer. Never once were we treated like we were inconveniencing them with our changes! Not only were we adding people up until the week before, we were even able to all get on the same flight and stay in adjoining rooms.
