I used Cuba Travel Service to pre-pay and book direct flights from Miami to Havana ($475) and then book and prepay one of the best hotels in Cuba (Iberostar Parque Central $200 per night for a couple). Everything went 100% perfect and this is definitely the BEST way to get to Cuba from Miami. I ate at the best restaurants that cost around $40 each and that represented a large variety of food and drinks. I visited all the historical spots and even a few of the newer trendy places. I am stunned at how beautiful and amazing this place was and taken back at how much Cubans LOVE Americans. I have never been greeted so nice by so many different people on the streets as I did in Cuba and especially after they asked where I was from and I told them the US. If you are considering going, I definitely recommend November to March as the summer and even fall heat was a killer during the day. Just a quick couple of lines here to praise the excellent services that Cuba Travel Services had provided me and my girlfriend for a recent trip to Cuba. Our trip was in March and was our first ever trip there. We understood there are specific criteria for US citizens to go there. Therefore, we selected Cuba travel Services to provide us the proper way to visit the country. From the many phone calls I had with Orieta before the trip to the actual on-the-ground educational tours and accommodations, everything went smoothly and at its highest level. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the driver was excellent. We learned so much about the history of Cuba that we won't be able to learn if we went on our own. The planning with Orieta was very enjoyable. She provided us all the necessary information before we left for the trip and was very responsive. She diligently listened to what we were interested in and present to us a good itinerary to maximize our time there. It was a full time itinerary (starting early in the morning) and by the time we got back to the hotel, we were exhausted. But we learned a lot! This is a review for the travel booth at Miami airport. I was traveling on an A6 visa and they refused to stamp my boarding pass so that I could get on the plane unless I paid for a tourist visa ($50) along with a $50 service fee. They said that they couldn't let me on board in case my A6 were not available on arrival. They said that I could get a full refund in Cuba if my A6 were waiting for me at customs. They neglected to say that I could purchase a tourist visa directly upon arrival in Cuba without paying a $50 service fee. The Cuban Customs officer shook his head and said that I had been scammed. UNPROFESSIONAL! If by any means you can AVOID booking your trip with Cuba Travel Services, please do so and save yourself the trouble of using this piece of poop company. As another Yelper said, when the floodgates of Cuba Tourism open to Americans, this chop shop will hopefully shape up or be out of business. I unfortunately needed them to book a trip from JFK to Havana, a new route of which they are one of the only booking agents. Called them a month in advance and they took forever to return the call. Then, after the so called "booking", the so called "agent", Ingrid Tantaw never confirmed anything along the way. I kept calling, emailing and no response. They do not have professional confirmation procedures like real travel agents. As the trip date grew closer, less than a week away, I was afraid I would not be confirmed for the trip. Finally, after much badgering, a two days away from they trip, I was sent "travel docs" with no ticket confirmation number and my name's spelling all screwed up. Her response was "Don't worry, they will fix it at the airport." They did, but WAIT - it gets worse. Although I enjoyed my time in Cuba after all of their unprofessionalism, I returned with $10,000 worth of fraudulent credit card charges made within a few hours after my departure. Not saying it's CTS fault, but what a coincidence that it was the last company with which I used my card after paying them the baggage fee. I guess on my next trip, I will stick with Airline Brokers, Marazul, or ABC Charters and fly out of Miami/Tampa instead. read more

Cuba Travel Services organized my trip to Havana, Cuba that was offered by Gate 1 Travel. The trip was great in itself. But the follow-up service I received from Cuba Travel Services was truly phenomenal. On my trip to Havana, I met a wonderful resident named "Josefa" at "Santovenia," a senior center/retirement home/ home for the aged. I wanted to send a letter and photos to Josefa, so I contacted Cuba Travel Services to ask for the address of Santovenia. Connie of Cuba Travel Services immediately got back to me and said that unfortunately, my mail would likely get lost in Cuba. Connie then offered to hand deliver my letter and photos to Josefa at Santovenia the next time Connie or someone else at Cuba Travel Services was going to Cuba. I'm happy to report that Connie did successfully hand deliver my letter and photos to Josefa at Santovenia.
